In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. Avoid using this company at all cost. I had two bathrooms remodeled by them 6 years ago and both…read moreare having to be redone. Initially they had left a pipe that they installed dripping in the wall. I found it after about 1.5 years and after fighting they did come back to repair it. Unfortunately, their repair is as shoddy as their initial work. I had to have the bottom of the shower completely replaced. In the master bathroom, they used about a third of the backing that they should have to affix the tiles. Grout continually came out and had to be regrouted. When my current contractor pulled the tiles off the walls he found that they were put on in a shoddy way. Instead of a solid sheet of material to attach the tile, it was only attached in random splotches. ( see picture ). I am having to spend over half again as much money to have this terrible job corrected.

Max came out that same day, measured and quoted us for the floors. They were able to get a rush on the wood flooring and were ready to go the next day. I was super impressed with their service, responsiveness and follow through. We had tile removed in the main walkways and kitchen and carpet installed in other areas. Their team kept the mess to a minimum (and you know tile removal is a dust nightmare!) and they were tidy and respectful of our property. If they messed up on something, they fixed it. Without a doubt, I would recommend them if you are looking for a fair price and great floor experience! Their team works hard and Max delivers on what he says. My only negative is that the financing they offer right now is not competitive with what other flooring companies offer, so I would be recommend having an alternative payment option. I had an under foundation plumbing leak that required jacking out the slab from one of our toilet…read moreareas and fixing the drain line underneath. After the plumbers finished, we hired Mr Hurtado to replace the tile and he sent Chris for the job. Chris was very professional and quickly completed the job despite us choosing a more complicated herringbone pattern and border tile. They chose quick setting mortar so they could complete the job in one day. Chris also replaced the baseboards and set our new toilet. The small install was a bit expensive due to the more complex tile, but the overall experience was excellent and I highly recommend Mr Hurtado for your future tile install needs.
