We have a whole list of household staples that we only get from Trader Joe's, so this location is a frequent stop for us. The store is always impressively clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful--they truly go out of their way to help you track down exactly what you're looking for! Right now, they have a great selection of holiday-specific food and treats. We specifically stopped in for the Harry & David pears, which are absolutely amazing, and of course, the fruit jellies that somehow always find their way into our cart! The only downside (as is tradition with TJs!) is the parking. The lot is shared with several other busy businesses, so it's usually very busy and a little cramped, but it's definitely navigable if you have a little patience. It's a fantastic neighborhood spot with a team that makes grocery shopping actually enjoyable. read more

Oh TJ's, how I love thee. I've been a loyal customer at his location for the last 8 years. But I've been a TJ's Stan forever. The staff is always friendly and this store itself has to be my favorite. The parking lot not so much, but I deal with it because this location is near my home, the layout of the store is good and familiar and the staff is consistently great. I love how TJ's continues to evolve with new product offerings, especially for the holidays and with their seasonal items, and I love that they partner with some local brands. And I'm always pleasantly surprised when my local store offers a wine tasting. Fall at TJ's is my favorite. So much goodness packed into a relatively small place. Love. read more

2025.09.22 Trader Joe's has become a consistent comfort space. Not only are the restrooms always clean, but the marketing!! There's just something about the hand-lettered signs and special limited time or seasonal items that brings me a microdose of secret joy as I wander up and down each aisle, I came for the unsalted roasted almond slivers and I left with additional unexpected cheddar. I live in Cali and was visiting Salem, so I'm happy to visit TJs on my way to the Portland airport. (Guys there's also a Jollibees and a Meet Fresh here). Sending Cali love to Oregon! read more

I spent years never going in to Trader Joe's and totally regret it! My friend from Cali got me to go one time and now I'm hooked. Not only do they always have new seasonal items to try, but they have some staples (chili oil / frozen garlic) that I snag every time I go. The people who work there are so friendly, and always help you to find an item or something similar if they don't carry it or it's out of season. I also had someone recommend a recipe to me the other day with their streusel maple bread... delicious. Now I'm hooked on that too. Everything also feels fairly priced, I assumed this would be more like Whole Foods or New Seasons but it's not at all. I personally love Trader Joe's , really wish they had a location near where i live. I cant even get stuff shipped so every time i go i have a container I take to fill up. I have been to many Trader Joe's in more than a few states and I have to say this was one of the nicer cleaner and friendlier stores I have been in. I love the prices on the products and the fact that I can pronounce the ingredients on the items I am buying makes a huge difference to me. I just hope that they can keep offering high quality products at the prices that they do.I also wish I lived closed to one of the stores. I haven't been in awhile but there were lots of new snacks to try! I appreciate Trader Joe's always bringing in something new from time to time. Did you know you can preorder flowers in bulk!? We DIY'd our wedding flowers using trading joes flowers and saved thousands. You just have to call ahead of time and request the flowers. The trick is, unless the color of the flower is a part of the label, you don't know what color you'll get. So Trader Joe's sells "white roses" so we were able to order multiple dozens of "white roses". And then the eucalyptus came as several different variations of eucalyptus. We didn't get to pick which types of eucalyptus we got, but they did let us swap out a few as needed, when we went to pick it up. That's how they get their flowers for so cheap, the colors they are sent from the distributors are random. So if you want to order Dahlias or Gerber Daisies for example, you would get a whole bunch of different random colors. So it only works if you are ordering very specific flowers they sell like "white roses" or don't care what color you get. read more

I am not sure exactly why, but ever since this pandemic has been going on the family hasn't been going to Trader Joe's nearly as much as we used to. Partly due to distance and gas prices and also because we get most of our groceries things delivered to us by one method or another. But I digress... My visit today was to pick up some flowers for my kids teachers at Holy Trinity Catholic School. Now since these aren't "dog house" bouquets they just needed to be simple. Trader Joe's is addicting! There are so many types of snacks, chocolates, ice cream, cookies, nuts, jam, bread, and even produce. They sell fresh flowers too! And of course their logo bags on the walls. Just deciding which design bags to buy home took awhile. One can browse for hours, which includes making tough decisions which ones to purchase. The stores differ in size and may carry different and/or more products. If you have the time, visit a couple of Trader Joe's. The employees are very helpful in finding what you are looking for. However, when came closing time, we were given 15 minutes to select our purchases and head to the register. If you don't and still keep shopping, they will approach you and tell you they are closing and direct you to the registers. (LOL guilty). Then there were three employees helping to speed things up. One unloads my cart, one to ring up the items and the other bagging the items. So, the next stores, we tried not to go near closing time. The ambiance of the store is cool. A conspiracy theory regarding Trader Joe's locations is that they make parking lots intentionally small, to make the store seem more popular than it actually is. I cant tell you if its true or not but that theory doesn't stand for this particular location because the parking lot is huge . Its one of the bigger TJs and is Clean, navigable, very friendly staff and lots of options that I do not get at the TJs closer home . I have been a Trader Joe's fan forever. 1) See prior reviews. 2) I am old. Every fall Trader Joe's celebrates Pumpkin Palooza and I will admit I have typically been kind of cynical about it. I am not a Starbuck's PSL fan at all so the hype didn't usually get me. I liked the cheesecake kringle he brought me a while back. We liked most things, but I have starred my favorites. This location of Trader Joe's now allows customers to bring their reusable bags inside the store again. Cashiers will bag your items in your own bags or their TJ's bags. The line outside doesn't ever seem to get as long as it did a few months ago, which is nice. But you still have to wait outside for a crew member to allow you to enter. One of my favorite go to stores. I love perusing the isles for all the new seasonal finds. The assortment of cheese and crackers are my favorite things to buy here along with different wine choices. I'm always in awe of the sauce isles and sometimes its super hard to decide what new sauces i will bring home to try. I love how everyone that works here is always so helpful and if they don't know the answer they will find you while you shop and update you! Some days they have wine tasting or a new product sample. My son is mostly vegetarian so it makes it easy to find a variety of items he will love. Canned jackfruit is always hard to find at other grocers but TJ's always seems to have it in stock when I'm looking for it. Of course fall to winter they carry all the fall faves and holiday treats. They make it easy for you to grab last minute gifts for a hostess, dinner party or just some stocking stuffers. read more

Probably one of the BEST Trader Joe's I've ever been! Aside from the nice layout of the store, Trader Joe's in general has been coming out with lots of Asian foods and condiments. I feel like the only Asian-inspired sauce they do NOT have is wasabi (they got soy sauce and even gojuchang), and when we asked an employee about wasabi, although there is no wasabi sold here he was very friendly to check in the back for us. And then the cashier was friendly as well, asking me how my day was and what I have planned for the remainder. They then recommended some Jordan Peele movies, and I ended up watching one of them that night ("Get Out"), which was REALLY GOOD. All in all, extremely friendly and helpful employees here. Trader Joe's also has been coming out with its own line of prosecco/sparkling wine, and here they are dirt cheap at a sticker shock price (in a good way) of around $7 (and of course no sales tax in Oregon)! read more

Love Trader Joe's for their unique products and offerings. No, they don't have a deli counter or bakery or butcher like traditional big box grocers, but what they do have makes it worth a shopping trip here for items that you just can't get anywhere else. I'm not a fast food or a pre-made food person, but the meals they offer are fresh and perfect for one or two. The green chile chicken enchiladas in the refrigerator section are killer! Fresh white meat chicken with green chile, cotja and cilantro rolled in a tortilla. They are better than what I can make and not loaded with fake ingredients. The package of 4 is $6.99 and contains two servings, if you have the willpower! Get them, put them in your freezer so when the night comes when you have no fresh food in the house and don't feel like cooking or ordering out. You will thank me. Their pantry items are also stellar. I always have jars of roasted red peppers,, marinated Italian veggies, sun dried cherry tomatoes, and castelvatano olives to make a charcuterie board rounded out with their dried apricots, figs, cashews and Italian died meats. And their treats - dark chocolate peanut butter cups, English toffee, cream mints, peanut butter filled pretzels, olive oil popcorn, chocolate babka, raspberry star cookies, chai tea, fig&olive crackers - try them all! Prices for their dried fruits and nuts, cheese, bagged lettuce, pasta ($1), soup stock ($1.99), dips, spreads, jams, honey, tea, granola, hummus, ground Turkey - just to name a few - are far better than other stores. When it comes to seasonal items, no one does it better! Every season they bring back old favorites and introduce us to new items that we fall in love with. For Valentine's day, pick up their X&O gummies, red, white and pink jelly beans, chocolate ganache heart shaped cake and some flowers and you are all set! For Easter, the 6-pack of chocolate mouse egg shaped cakes are the hit of any buffet and the jelly beans a must for your candy dish. But it's Fall that brings out the Motherload with pumpkin and ginger spiced everything! Cakes, breads, cookies, granola, ravioli, ice cream, mochi, pies, tarts, pasta sauce - the list goes on and on. Plus tortilla chips shaped like fall leaves and in fall colors, too! The only season that is even bigger than Fall is the December Holiday season. In addition to Christmas and Hanukkah treats, they also make gift items that people buy in bulk. The 3 pack of olive oils from Spain, Italy and Greece is the perfect hostess gift or gift exchange with coworkers. Same with the package of different types of honey, 3-pack of maple syrup, the new 5-pack of their favorite seasonings, passport chocolates, taste of caramels, hand lotions - the list goes on and on! Treats include: dark chocolate mint star cookies, peppermint Joe-Joe's, Brie in filo, Candy Cane green tea, ginger men cookies that hang on a mug, huge jars of olives, three packs of jam, candy cane flavored everything. And don't forget the snowmen bombs! They sell out on day one and you never know what day will be day one! Trader Joe's definitely knows how to create demand. They offer new innovative products, source them so they keep costs down, and they listen to their customers and know the demographic they serve. The stores organized in a way that doesn't really make sense, like cookies and chocolates on top of the freezer section, but it forces you to walk all aisles and search for things, grabbing spontaneous purchases along the way. Everyone has their Trader Joe's favorites, can't live with out, I must stock up in case there is a pandemic (oh, there is a pandemic) products. I am not a weekly Trader Joes shopper but I do like to stop in occasionally and see what new items I can find to try. Unfortunately I picked up a Chicken Pot Pie in the cooler section, thinking it would be an easy meal over the holidays. AWFUL! While the chicken and veggies were tasty the "flaky crust" was like glue. Just a big lump of what might have been dough. I have never tasted anything so disgusting. BEWARE! Parking was easy, once we figured out how to get here. I came in with a gift card, while checking out the gift card was not working and the manager came over. This is when the cashier Cesear asked me where I got this gift card, I said I received this at the desk--he said what desk? Literally the only desk in the front of the store. He asked so you came in here earlier and used the gift card? Uh, no. I'm so tired of being belittled--why would I use a gift card up and then try to use it again? The person who loaded the gift card didn't do it correctly--it happens I guess. Yea I'm not stealing or using a gift card twice, nor am I blind to how gift cards work. Just went there to purchase some snacks for friends. I was carrying all my groceries in my hand looking for one more item. The cashier noticed I was looking around and asked if I needed help. He directed me to the area where the item would've been but there was none left, so he then had me follow him to the cashier and he then rung me up. The store is very clean with ample parking outside. Friendly and quick service here. The worker also recommended me to try use lemon juice for water when making a lemon cake which was considerate of her. read more

I have never been to Hilsboro area of Oregon and decided to shop here for my Trader Joe's precious goods. I really like my shopping experience, no problem with parking, everything is organized neatly and when I couldn't find a few products, I got great customer service with an Trader Joe's employee. I can spend forever shopping here, I always give myself a time limit before I buy the entire store and can't bring the items back. The only item Trader Joe's didn't have at the time was the pasta, I always grab angel hair and spaghetti pasta, they were out which means I have to stop at another Trader Joe's store. Besides my love for Trader Joe's, another reason I love shopping here is that it is Fall season here in Oregon, and I LOVE seeing all the beautiful fall colors decorations, ex. pumpkins, flowers, and fall products. I wish I could bring them all home with me. The seasonal products they have are pumpkin everything, pumpkin bagel, butter, cereal, nuts mix, baked goods, cookies, tea, coffee, & even pumkin Joe Joes!! Items are always stocked, staff are consistently helpful, courteous, knowledgeable about products, and get the hint if you don't want to chat at checkout. We absolutely love Trader Joe's. They have a lot of Covid precautions which is the reason we don't go on a weekend and wait until a weeknight as they limit the amount of people in the store. They have a great selection, great cards too. We go to Trader Joe's often and it's really not that much more expensive than going to Safeway. Usually like $20 more for us, but they have items we eat regularly that we cannot find anywhere else. So if we don't do a weekly trip here, we do every other week with a normal chain mixed in on the other weeks. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joes location. I doubt I need to stress to you, the reader, as to the awesomeness of Trader Joes but I will say they have some of the best hummus, guac, tortilla chips and produce around. They also offer an amazing array of frozen meals which I personally do not buy because I cook everything from scratch. Lots of friends swear by them though. My personal recommendations are for the Maui Beef which is premarinated beef crack - seriously, addicting! I am also a huge fan of the frozen fish selection and their pre marinated fish makes a tasty and easy meal for a great price. This particular Trader Joes I prefer to the one near my home because it is way roomier and seems to have a much better floral selection and wine selection that all the other locations I have been to. For my wedding I purchased 2 cases of wines from three different vineyards and decided to use Trader Joes to offer an additional variety. I chose a very lovely selection and for a mere $70 it was well worth it. read more
