I've had a very pleasant experience at the HEB all in all. A bit surprised to see the low rating. Anytime I've gone, the store is clean, well stocked and the employees are very nice. I think they do a good job keeping carts available, getting you through the checkout line and assisting if you have any questions. I like the Texas themed merchandise they have throughout the seasons. It's a great one stop shop. I always pick up my beer and groceries, fresh breads, love the butter there and all the HEB branded canned goods and soup stocks. The prices are competitive, often beating other big box stores. Quality is always there with everything I've purchased. As with any store, I've had some stuff ring up for more expensive than the shelf (old sale tags that weren't removed) but I've always been met with associates who take care of it. This store has lost its way; we've shopped there from the first day this location opened and now the seafood is bad the produce is bad the meat is way too expensive. Love the store products. The staff is just the worse. Like I am inconveniencing them by asking a question. This last visit popped in for some flowers for a dance recital. Great selection but the floral attendants were not interested in helping or even making the wrapping look nice. I guess I should have thought ahead to wrap it at home. read more

Really bad service and rude employees. I was checking out and I made a mistake and needed help when a male employee with long curly hair came annoyed and repeated himself multiple times I needed to move when I clearly moved and I had no problem doing so. Before the annoyed employee came I had asked a different employee to help me when he ignored me and just pointed at the other employee. Communication skills are needed. read more

One Star is Too Much!!! Garden Area - On this morning 09/24/2025 at 9:30 am, my husband and I, went to H-E-B off Northpark at Interstate 59 and received very poor assistance by a male (description: brown skin, not African American - approx. 5'7 blk/hair,brn eyes) working the area. First of all, I noticed him in the caged area so I said excuse me I'm trying to purchase some of the small succulent plants and the display shows $2 but I purchased some the same ones on Monday at $1 each. He responds, let me scan them and says, well the price is $2.97. Then he, changes the display price from the $2 to 2.97 while my husband and I stand there. And as he proceeded to walk off from us as though we're of unimportance he said with his back to us, I don't make the price so my husband responded back and said, oh you just change them. We proceeded to the inside of the store to attempt to make contact with a manager or individual with a more accommodating and pleasant disposition. But that didn't work either we encountered a female kid by the name of My and after explaining our concerns of what had taken place thus far, she stated, "I don't work in that department so if he said the price was $2.97 then it's $2.97, I can't change it cause I'm not over that department." She further asked for the male name and we didn't remember it but described him and she said, oh I think I know who you're talking about so I'll talk to him. I tried to explain that I'm not asking for you to change the price nor talk to him for the unprofessional disrespect of the individual working outside but that I would like to know if HEB feels that they should honor the prices they display. Manager My said, I can't change the price if it is $2.97. At this point, my attempt for resolution or assistance was to no avail so I told her that was okay but I would be submitting a review for the mistreatment we've encountered today because it's not right and I began to walk away very quickly and hurt. When we had almost reached the exit door, manager or Lead - My, came behind us saying, "ma'am I can give you a discount then", and I responded, "that's okay because if there's not a mature store manager here than I'll just do my review because you all aren't treating people right and we continue walking out of the store and left. This is our neighborhood location but unfortunately if this is the new treatment that HEB will be displaying toward their customers then we'll just have to patronize KROGERS and elsewhere for all of our future groceries/gardening purchases. read more

A couple of years back the heb store in cleveland had roasts on sale. Looked pretty good so I bought two of them. Decided to cook one and unwrapped it. It was roast alright. A small one with a band of hard fat that was attached to the meat at one end, rolled up into a large ball and the thin roast wrapped around it so it looked like a nice roast instead of the big ball of hard fat hidden inside. read more

This is not a flagship store for sure. The photo of the melon I just purchased is not an uncommon occurrence. They need to be more selective with their vendors. Slice open a few melons and if they look like this send the shipment back until they find a vendor that knows how to grow good melons consistently. Their display of red & juicy slices have a different color rind than the melons that are on display. Very misleading. read more

I shopped at this HEB today June 20th around 11:00 AM. I had a small shopping cart mostly full with groceries I planned on using this day. At home, I went to get two of my items to use and I couldn't find them. I looked everywhere including my vehicle and didn't find them. So back to the HEB to get my items which they failed to put into my shopping cart. Needless to say I was not happy but I approached the customer service desk with a good attitude. I explained my situation and was asked do you want a refund or the items. I wanted the items which I picked up. They had a record of the items not being placed in my shopping cart. Back at the customer service desk I mentioned to the young man that a couple of weeks ago this same thing happened to my wife. The customer service person displayed a so what attitude. On top of that I received no apology for the inconvenience this caused me. I'm very disappointed that the customer service person didn't offer an apology nor expressed any concern that this happened to my wife recently. Apparently, at this HEB its is a common occurrence to not place items in the shopping cart. Now, I have to watch the checker and the bagger to make sure they do their jobs properly. read more

I bought a package of Pork Mi Tienda tamales for the first time. They were full of bones. My wife took one bite and said "No Thanks". I tried one and found my tamale full of bones also. I opened the other 10 tamales and found bone chips and 2 large bones (as big as a small marble) inside. All had bone chips. These tamales should be recalled!!! PORK BONES ARE NOT LISTED ON THE INGREDIENTS LABEL!!! The Quality Assurance department has failed to do their job. I have been in the meat business all my life and am retired. Heads would have rolled if this had happened at one of my plants. read more

I was done checking out so I waited for her on the side thinking there would be no communication between her & the lady checking her out. Turns out the girl that was checking her out had learned Spanish and was trying so hard to communicate with her and she didn't hesitate to do so, she made my sis in law feel so comfortable. My husband and I came in last night (on the day of the store's official opening). Despite the chaos, employees were assisting shoppers in locating items and aisles. The layout of this store is completely different from the Kingwood Drive and Summerwood locations, but it's easy to navigate. There's also a soup bar, making it easy to grab dinner on the go. My husband and I are thrilled to have a convenient H-E-B, and we cannot wait to shop here more. After seeing how this chain goes above and beyond for customers, we will be regulars and will always support H-E-B. read more

Please do not shop at this H-E-B they are pathetic and they disrespect and discriminate against handicapped individuals. After placing a curbside pickup grocery order for pickup after I proceeded to the store and arrived 22 minutes early. I checked in online and was met by a rude young lady asking me why I was early. At that point I was 17 minutes early. She informed me the order was not ready even though I had placed it a day before. I explained I didn't mind waiting for my order. She then very rudely said well you can't park here. I was flabbergasted at her attitude. There are 15 spaces at curbside and I was one of three customers waiting. I understand if it was busy I would have gladly moved and come back now in 10 minutes. I asked her to get her supervisor and she told me I could walk inside and find him myself. Mind you I had my handicap placard hanging from my mirror I told her I'm not walking anywhere. I told her to cancel the order and to work on her customer service skills. I phoned the store manager on the way home and Michael was a smug condescending person who could have cared less so thanks HEB you lost a customer for life. read more

H.E.B...my favorite grocery store...and with this location being new...and only a hop...skip...and a jump from the house...it's my favorite location...it's not as big as other locations...but they still have all of the items you would need...I love all of the pre ready meals you can choose from...and the soup bar is a real plus...the lay out of this location is reverse from most of the other locations I've been to...but they still have all of the bells and whistles...also the gas station attached has the best price gas around...so Shell and Exxon...step your game up...other than that...I can't wait to see what other mini stores will surround this location...but this place is going to be a real gem read more

NO enforcement of masks whatsoever. EVERY TIME I have shopped there there are people walking around with no masks and no employee says a word...even at the checkout line. Health Department needs to be alerted to make a surprise inspection. read more

Be careful using this HEB for your Western Union money orders. They have a secret (quoted by Marrisa the mngr -- "confidential" ) policy of refusing to cash these money orders that are aged over 30 days -- at their discretion for any reason -- even if you purchased the money order yourself from that very location. There is NO notice posted anywhere--and when I demanded that they show this policy to me-- her first response was it was confidential and she has a right to refuse service to anyone. This happened on 03-10-2023. Even though the proof was there that I paid for the money order---she refused to cash it......even after they had me input my social security number. The paperwork she showed me of their INTERNAL policy --she refuse to give me a copy---but I demanded this black and white printing of a secret policy---so she literally cut the paragraph out and handed this to me...with a poor attitude. Josh--the teller---was insisting I already had my money---in my hand --ha ha ha. I had to describe it was just a check and that they were attempting to steal my money -- and leaving me with their worthless check if no HEB was going to cash it. On the back of your legitimate WU money order it states "if this money order is not used or cashed within 1 year of the purchase date (mine is 8 months) there will be a non-refundable service charge applied." ****Go figure---HEB trains their personnel to sell the money orders---but refrain from cashing them. OH----I even told them I would accept the money as an HEB gift card--since I would be spending it there anyways---that was a HARD no from them. read more

The damn isle are cluttered with freight and the HEB shopping employees are always in the way with them damn grocery carts and will not move when asked to. I blame poor management. This HEB has never failed me. There are a lot of people here comparing it to the one on Kingwood Drive but I much prefer this one because it's got great parking and isn't constantly packed like the other one. It's also 5 minutes from my apartment and an easy walk. The products have never failed me and they have a great beauty section that I think passes up bigger stores like target. read more
