But when my wife pointed it out, I realized it just isn't normal behavior for a Trader Joe's employee, and not what we've grown to expect from them. Cashier: No greeting, no 'how's your morning going'? No 'did you find everything you were looking for?' Absolutely NOTHING in communication. One of my favorite spots to get groceries done and to try out new seasonal items. This TJ is clean and spacious and the staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. Anytime I need help finding items they're more than happy to assist. There's plenty of fresh produce and seasonal items for great prices. Love the variety of flower and plant options that they have, though I recommend going earlier for a wider selection. They do restock throughout the day. I always find something good here! That's the thing with Trader Joe's, they always have new items and it's so fun trying new things! I finally found the strawberry sheet cake. It was soooooo good!!! Very moist and delish. They also had the vanilla chantilly sheet cake so I tried that too. The strawberry is my top pick. Both cakes are so good you don't even need the frosting. I felt like they have way too much frosting so I took the frosting off and ate them plain. Also found red leister cheese!!! Unreal!! If you're on TikTok then you know our fave UK foodie. I've always wanted to try it since seeing it in those TikTok's and I finally found it in the US unexpectedly. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it's good. Staff is always friendly. This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's in LA! Parking is so easy in the lot above as well as on the street if you don't want to deal with the lot. It's always so clean and well maintained here and I never have issues with items not being in stock. While it's busy, it never feels as chaotic as some of the other TJs I've been to and the lines always move really quickly. The employees are friendly and helpful when you need them. Lunch on the Go: My Trader Joe's Check-In I do food reviews all the time... usually from drive-thrus, taco spots, or hole-in-the-wall gems. But today? I'm switching it up. This is what lunch looks like when I hit Trader Joe's--something I actually do a dozen times a month without even thinking about it. Got their Baby Spinach and Greens Salad yo day, loaded with bleu cheese, candied pecans, cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette. I also was in the mood for some sliced grilled chicken I picked up and a side 16oz. of creamy Mediterranean hummus with pine nuts and herbs. That's a full meal that tastes fresh and keeps me going when I've been driving all over LA and Orange County. and in case you didn't know, Trader Joe isn't is known for $.17 bottled water and $.25 bananas which I get constantly! You literally can't beat that anywhere else! I've been to at least 30 Trader Joe's locations across SoCal--no lie. Whether I'm stocking up for the week or just need a quick grab-and-go lunch like today, TJ's always hits. I've reviewed everything but Trader Joe's up till now. Effective 8/25/24, Trader Joe's only sells fat free milk by the half gallon due to slow sales and production issues. Good thing there's a Ralph's next door. The store and service are still amazing and the free sample stand is back. If you don't see an item on the shelf, you can ask a manager if it's discontinued, on back order or out of stock for the season. Sometimes they are not aware of seasonal items until shipments stop, like their bomb frozen Bubble Waffles! And my recent discovery is that I think I prefer TJ's baguette to La Brea's at Ralph's. Don't like how La Brea's is sourdough and unsealed whereas TJ's is sealed. It's exterior while less crunchy, doesn't harden by the end of the day. read more

I've been a loyal customer at this Trader Joe's for a long time over 200 visits and I've always come with my well-trained service dog. I'm also an autistic woman, and having my service dog with me is part of how I'm able to navigate public spaces safely and calmly. I've never had any issues at this location before, which is why today's experience was so upsetting. During my visit, an employee approached me and claimed that my dog was "sniffing closed packages." My dog did not touch or damage anything she was simply walking calmly beside me, as she always does. Despite this, I was told I needed to leave. As I was already heading toward the door, the same employee escalated the situation and said, "Now I am not going to be nice--you need to leave immediately," in a very harsh and unnecessary tone. As an autistic person, situations like this can be especially overwhelming, and the way this was handled made it much worse. There was no attempt to communicate calmly or respectfully. I felt singled out, disrespected, and unsupported. This experience left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this location. I will also be sharing my experience publicly, as I believe customers especially those with disabilities and service animals deserve to be treated with understanding, respect, and dignity. read more

This review is about an employee, Kid, who helped me with a private event! My company was planning a "build your own bouquet" day with flowers and to help with costs, we decided to use TJ's flowers knowing how great the quality is! I originally planned to find flowers myself, but I asked an employee to help and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Not only did he ask me what I was planning to do, but he organized all the flowers and chose what flowers would go great together based on our color scheme. Since my event was a week away, he sent me pictures while planning, and when I came to pick them up they were sorted and organized for easy transporting. I honestly never knew this was a type of "service" offered at TJ's, but can't say nice enough things about how friendly and helpful Kid was! THANK YOU!! read more

I used to frequents location often, and everyone was pretty courteous in their help. However, in August, I went to buy wine, the Teller was like 18 years old and asked me for ID, I told her I have a picture of it. She asked her supervisor Omar about it who said it's fine this time. I told him a joke of if they ask you for ID at a Las Vegas gambling table and you clearly don't look 21. It's considered bad luck. Immediately Omar said I don't have to accept this so I said I'm just giving an example and he took my full shopping cart which was in my own nice thick shopping bag and walked away from it and told me to leave the store. Anyways, I went back and got my bag from him because I told him he stole my bag and his effort to have a power trip over me for no reason. He told me that I must be an alcoholic if I'm drinking 11 bottles of wine at 11:30 AM. His coworkers told me to shut up when he said that thankfully. No matter, this man was below the standard of any Superviser in any area of work. For a supervisor to behave like that and for Superviser to show up and look at me where I clearly look over 30 I will stay here, leads one to believe that he had a personal issue with me and or wanted to exercise power trip for no reason at all. That is not how a supervisor would conduct themselves anyways. I've not gone back to this location since and obviously, I have not forgotten his name. I know this was August because it was my birthday and I was buying wine for my friends coming over. I proceeded to go to Ralph's afterwards and another Trader Joe's location, where everybody was very friendly and didn't even ask me for ID. At neither location mind you. This man took a simple situation and made it horrific along with his coworkers there that didn't do the best job in undoing the situation. I don't know why they thought I would go quietly when I was treated the way they treated me. I'm not sure Trader Joe's is hiring quality with proper skills. Furthermore, their prices are so high right now and they're blaming it on inflation where the actual inflation numbers have gone down significantly, perhaps they should consider their corporate elite payments and reduce the cost to their buyers. Most of their products are from California so there's costs that are missing and are not from abroad to have tariffs. Furthermore, they should work on legislation to increase the flow of gasoline in California if that's another one of their problems because California itself is causing most of the problems since gas. Here is the most expensive. However, the products that come from other parts of the state had much much lower gas and the last year and a half so technically they could've managed the price increases, but just blame it on the wrong entity instead of looking at themselves. read more

I purchased a watermelon, yesterday, 6/10/25, at this location, among a cart full of groceries. I cut the watermelon today. It is tasteless. It also has brown spots on the inside of the rind, see photo. It is not seedless. It has lots of white seeds and some black ones, also. It appears that TJ's is being sold inferior products. Their suppliers are cheating them and in turn us, the consumers. I've had issues in the past with other products deteriorating before their best by dates, including poorly stored/refrigerated dairy products. When I have contacted corporate about these issues, the best they could do is tell me that they haven't had any other complaints. Well, people don't bother to complain because absolutely nothing is done to correct these issues. read more

In addition, when checking out, they have street names instead of numbers corresponding to streets nearby! The service was great! The staff is usually talkative and strike small talk with a smile! On Stoner Ave is the entrance to the parking garage which is also combined with the Walgreens! Food selection is great and they usually put the seasonal items right near the opening of the store! read more

This is the 2nd time I've found something in my food. I didn't report the first one, but it was a hard foreign object in the frozen butter chicken meal. I stopped going to this location for about 4 months after that incident. But it's so convenient to my job I started going back last month. I usually go in for the traditional greek salad or a sandwich for lunch. Yesterday, I found a long piece of HAIR nestled into the cheese. Before you think it, it's not mine I rock a buzz cut. This is ridiculous and disgusting. I don't know what's going on with this location. But it looks like I'm going to have to start going to Ralph's next door or the new Gelson's that just opened nearby. Cashiers are friendly for the most part, the stockers not so much. This location is right in my neighborhood. Walking distance. Right next to my Walgreens. I don't need it but there's a huge parking garage for both. Like most Trader Joe's locations you're greeted with an abundance of flowers--And a smiling employee welcoming you. Most regular customers know what they want and where it is. There's no trickery here. It's tried and true. Like an old friend. You know what to expect. The staff here are all amazing. Super friendly, helpful and cool. Glad there is a Trader Joe's near my new home. The store inside is huge and spacious. The staff are courteous and helpful just like all the other TJ's. During my first visits, I hated the rooftop parking. (The other option is street parking -- if available ) If you bought a lot and have to use a cart, you have to take your cart in an elevator up to the roof. (There are two elevators, btw There are also stairs.) Anyway, after a few shopping visits, I've come to accept the elevator set- up and have tolerated it. Again, I'm glad there is a TJ near my new home. :) read more

It's honestly the perfect grocery store for beginner to mid-level cooks given their inclination towards health-items, specific/fun ingredients, and partially made items. But since most people know what they're getting into for TJ's it makes more sense to comment on the location. I love how this has a very accessible parking lot within it and a second entrance. Very well organized and spacious. Also if you got a special someone you want to appreciate, the near-perfect flowers are a great touch. THIS STORE IS NOT FAMILY/PET FRIENDLY. I've been going there for months and I take my two Bengal cats with me secured in their own stroller, much to the enjoyment of the employees and other customers. Today, I was thrown out of the store because they said they have changed their policy to not allow anything but registered service animals in the store. I am a responsible owner. I don't put my cats in the shopping carts or let them walk around like a dog. They are secure in the stroller with a harness and leash and they are well-trained and well-behaved. Never in my life has any store ever had a problem with me bringing my cats in with me. My husband and I don't have children, so the cats are our family and they go on outings with us. I used to really like this store and thought of it as my neighborhood grocery stop. I often saw my neighbors there and they enjoyed seeing the cats going out with me. I've never been so insulted or made to feel so unwelcome anywhere in my life. THIS STORE JUST LOST MY BUSINESS. read more

Same great stuff as the other locations we've shopped at; nice and clean on the inside but the employees here aren't friendly. They aren't rude but they aren't nice like other places. The stockers, the cashiers, glare and aren't interested in saying hello or how are you. They're like robots. This location is okay, we got stuff we needed. Probably won't return though. I am surprised to see such a low rating on this location! Usually I never write a review for retail stores, but this location truly made my day today! I had a positive experience with 3 separate staff during this one trip which is unbelievable! Adrian who has been at TJ's for over 40 years took time to help me with choosing wine and also explaining how to keep my flowers longer after seeing my cart has flowers. He also took more time to address each of my random questions. We ended our convo with him sharing that he wants to be this great because he has been here for 40 years and want the new staff to just be like this. Joe at the cash wrap graciously helped me. Not going to go into details but his action almost made me tear in my car. I have been going through something rough recently and it's the little actions and kindness that really makes a difference in people's lives. Another staff also saw me looking at the Boba dessert and told me his tricks w/ cold brew to make it super bomb. You can tell the people are genuinely happy to be working here. This has become my go to Trader Joe's. The rooftop parking isn't as bad as I initially thought even on a busy day unlike other locations. The cashiers are always very nice. One time I didn't pick the best bag of snow peas, and they noticed it before scanning it. It's that attention to detail that matters for excellent customer service. Even though this location may sometimes be filled with shoppers, there's still plenty of room to move around to do a quick shop. The lines also move fast too so I haven't waited too long if I have heavier than expected basket of TJ's snacks and produce. There was a spin the wheel game this weekend. After I finished checking out, I spun the wheel like everyone else to win a snack. I was happy to get the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. Although this isn't the closest location to me, I like going here when I'm doing errands in the area. read more

Pretty large TJ's. Very friendly and helpful customer service. Easy to navigate and very clean. Just a happy and peaceful environment to shop in. Only small problem I had was locating the bags in the produce department. They sure hid them well. Otherwise, everything looked fresh and delicious. If you love TJ's than I do suggest you check out this location. It was pretty busy but, for some reason, check out was super fast. Love the parking situation here. Super convenient and spacious free outdoor parking lot which is also the parking lot for Walgreens (the grocery and convenience stores are in one building and share the lot...score!). I think one of the elevators was broken as it never came to get us but there was no sign posted so I have no idea what was up with that. But the other elevator fit four shopping carts so that was cool. There were plenty of shopping carts available and I kept seeing the man who works for the stores go out to the parking lot and bring them back so that there are always carts available. My usual Trader Joe's at the Santa Monica Wilshire location had a line up wrapped around the corner so there was no way I was going to wait outside in that long line up that went on for a block! I remembered an old acquaintance mention this location that I forgot about so I decided to drive over. Wow what a place! First of all it's a huge store! There was no line up and plenty of space! No long line at the register and plenty of roof parking. I definitely will be coming back here they have everything and fully stocked. read more
