Still a nice space, never too cramped. Only the freezer aisles get tight during busy hours. They get some of the newer products before other stores I've noticed and carry a lot of gluten free options (pancake mix and stuffing have been the newest additions) The beer selection isn't that great., but offers something for everyone They should do away with the KBC and stock more NY brews. The parking can be entertaining especially at the entry. People have to stop trying to get those front spaces that just jam up the traffice getting in and out. Parking on the side behind the plaza is best. read more

I'm not sure which one is better, this location or Darien - but I give credit to both establishments for having great customer service and affordable prices. Their organic food choices are comparable to whole foods and other much more expensive food shops for much less. Although they might have less options (meat, etc) they have mostly everything I need to get through the week. It'd be awesome if someone opened up a butcher next door... They have great soaps and skin care products as well. It can get very crowded easily after 5 so it's best to go later in the evening or early afternoon. read more

This store has very long lines and extremely poor customer service. So whether you're buying a can of soup or you've got a full shopping cart you're waiting about 20 minutes at checkout. Nobody will go out of their way to help. The parking lot is too small and dangerous. Just a bad place! read more

The only reason I gave this Trader Joe's 4 stars was because of the parking. It can become a real headache and chore trying to snag a decent spot - let alone a good one. Early mornings are your best bet, or late evenings. The parking issue is enough that I had to knock off a star. The customer service here is phenomenal and the staff are all super friendly. They're usually well stocked, but by the end of the week you'll see things out of stock. Everyone seems to come here, so like the parking lot, it can get packed inside, but the staff do their best to keep lines moving. I really appreciate that. I love coming here and am so glad Stamford finally got its own Trader Joes - it's so convenient! read more

This is my favorite grocery store in Stamford! Though it can get busy during prime shopping days and is a little on the small side, they always have the freshest produce and the most reasonable prices. Additionally, the workers and friendly, knowledgable, and always willing to help. The setup is also nicer than the Darien location! read more

I debated posting this review since this is the first time I've EVER had a bad experience at Trader Joe's but after mulling it over I feel like I definitely need to say something. I stopped into the Stamford Trader Joe's at around 1 pm​ yesterday. I have no problems with the store itself, they keep it well organized and clean, which is why I regularly come to this location. My issue was with the absolutely horrendous customer service I received​ and witnessed done to another customer by one particular cashier (who I will show more dignity than she showed me by not mentioning her name here). When I went up to the checkout stand I had brought my reusable bags and left them in the front portion of the cart. Before I could even get a word out to the cashier she asked me if I was going to be using my reusable bags, I said yes and then she told me to move the paper bags out of the way "like a big girl" and handed my bags to me. I sort of brushed that rude comment off as maybe being an off joke but then she continued on saying "go ahead pack your bags, you can do it". I always help pack my bags at every grocery​ store I go to and don't need to be condescendingly​ told to do so. Then to top everything off once I was done packing my bags the cashier​ says "look at you acting like a big girl" at that point I was absolutely livid. While I was paying an elderly man asked if he could have an extra paper bag for his items and she said "no we don't do that" then when he walked away she told the other cashier she was "testing him" to see if he would back off like she knew he would... I don't know what in the world is wrong with this cashier but I definitely wasn't the only person she was rubbing the wrong way that day. read more

I love the unique things I can find here. The prices are great too! This location keeps lines moving quickly (but there are rarely any lives), the customer service is always great, and the store is always clean. Be sure to inspect any produce, sometimes things (especially lettuce) look spoiled before their expectation date. read more

I absolutely love this store for its products (always being updated with new, interesting, often ethnic, and healthy items). My daughter insisted long ago that I buy something new every time I visit the store, which is weekly. As a result, I've sampled so many TJ products, and have been happy with almost all of them. What I love even more is the company culture I've observed in the employees at this and all TJ stores I have visited. As a consumer, I can think of no other company with as consistently good customer service as Trader Joes. All employees are pleasant, intelligent, and seemingly very happy to work there. This company should be a model for so many other retailers. read more

I love Trader Joes and am so happy to have one conveniently in my neighborhood. The prices are great and the products are delicious. I come here for most of my groceries and while the place can get crowded (like most TJ's) the wonderful employees know how to keep the lines moving and create an amazing atmosphere. The employees are always helpful and cheerful with awesome recommendations. I love the number of variety and options available and whenever I try something new I'm pleasantly surprised. The only con that I have is that the parking is a nightmare and parents seem to think that TJ's is a playground/day care center but other than that if you go at the right time of day (or night) you won't have to deal with the crowded parking lot or unruly screaming children. read more

I am very thankful for high quality food at reasonable prices. I shop TJs in Westport and Darien as well, depending on where I happen to be. This TJs happens to be the biggest. I always stop at the counter where they give out free samples. Often what they serve gives me ideas for healthy options at my own family dinner table. read more

The High Ridge store is about twice the size of the Darien store so they carry a broader selection in each category of Trader Jo's products which makes shopping there a better experience. The variety of frozen entries is tremendous and it is all made with natural quality ingredients without chemicals to extend the shelf life. The bagels are as good as any deli in NYC. They have the best values and quality using their own label products. Friendly staff add to a enjoyable shopping experience. read more

Wanted to add my 2 cents on the parking. Don't go in at the TJ entrance - everyone is right - it's a nightmare.. Go down to the shopping center entrance, then into the back part of the TJ lot. Much, much easier. Love everything else about TJ's. Has anyone mentioned the nice customer bathrooms? read more

Dangerous parking lot and poor morals in management. Delivery trucks to Trader Joe's often block you into your parking space. While being blocked in by Trader's Joe's delivery truck (which refused to move) a cart came rolling down the parking lot while I was in the driver's seat and had no ability to avoid it. Took out my headlight. Reported it immediately and management originally told me they would give me $50 to have my headlight fixed (a $350 repair), but when I went back, the original manager wasn't "available" and the person on duty said he knew nothing about it. Tried following up several times, including with home office, who would leave voice messages at my house at odd times, but would never call my cell. TJ's needs to include mid-level cart corrals so that cart's don't end up on the steeply sloped parking lot and needs to redesign their parking so that their trucks can deliver without blocking customers into parking spaces. While they have signs posted that damage due to carts is not their responsibility, it WAS their responsibility when their delivery truck held my car hostage for over 15 minutes and made it impossible for me to avoid the damage. Trader Joe's makes grocery shopping enjoyable! I have been a TJ's fan for years but the staff here is amazing! Friendly, nice and geniune!

Before this store opened I would occasionally go to the Westport TJs to buy fun items. Now that a Stamford store opened, I can pop in on my way home. Last time I dropped in, I looked for some sauerkraut to go with the sausages and potatoes I bought--they don't carry sauerkraut so I needed to stop at another store on my way home. Another time I was looking for heavy cream, eggs and cake flour to bake--they don't carry cake flour although they carry various mixes. So I had to stop at another store on my way home. This time I was looking for some vegetables to go with the roast chicken I was having for dinner. I found some potatoes but all the bagged green beans were brown and slimy and the other bagged green vegetables didn't look appetizing. I ended up buying frozen beans. The upshot is, TJs is great for fun food but I wasn't having luck as a store to drop in for last minute items for food I cook myself. But prices are good. read more
