DeCicco & Sons is a small chain of gourmet grocery stores that opened in The Bronx, New York in 1973. It was founded by Italian immigrant brothers John, Joseph and Frank DeCicco, who came to America in 1958. The brothers had a deep knowledge and love of food and were immediately able to find employment at various New York City produce stands and butcher shops. Eventually they decided to go into business together and open their own grocery store in the Bronx called "DeCicco Food Market". Eventually John and Joseph went into business with their sons John Jr., Joseph Jr., and Chris, and in 2011 they founded the small chain "DeCicco & Sons" which has ten locations throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties. The DeCicco Family is dedicated to giving consumers quality food products. Each location features fresh local produce, meat, and seafood. Fresh mozzarella is hand-pulled every day and there are also several imported artisanal cheeses from Europe. Baked goods and hot foods are also prepared fresh on the premises. In addition to their food, DeCicco's is also well-known for their extensive craft beer selection. Some breweries even brew special releases exclusively for sale at DeCicco's. Each location also comes equipped with a craft beer bar. Frank DeCicco is also still in the grocery business with his family. His chain is referred to as "DeCicco Family Markets" and features five locations. I've been to the Brewster location a number of times over the years, but I recently visited the Armonk location for the first time. This location opened in 2013 and I think may even be larger than the Brewster store. The place was immaculate; very clean and really impressive selection of products. My wife and I picked out some hummus, cheese dips, gourmet sausages, artisanal cheeses, fancy crackers, prepared sandwiches, and some St. Patrick's Day and Easter treats for our son. Of course I couldn't visit DeCicco's without getting some beer. The beer fridges were fully stocked with an impressive selection of cans, but they had thousands of bottles in their upstairs beer lounge (including several vintages). I grabbed a couple of bottles to take home. Not only did the Armonk location have their own craft beer bar, but this store is the only location with its own bocce courts and cornhole set. Bocce and Beer: what a great combo!! I think the Armonk location might be my new favorite!

Assortment of cookies so fresh and delicious!

My cousin bought a tray of butter cookies and a strawberry cheesecake from the bakery department here to bring to a family get together we had. Everyone was raving how good the cookies and the cheesecake were. We kept asking what gourmet bakery did she purchase these baked goods at. No one could believe it was from a supermarket! They were the best baked goods we ever had from a supermarket! The cookies were so fresh and delicious! The cheesecake was amazing! I highly recommend DeCicco & Sons bakery department!

The women who were working upstairs at the bar on 9/23/2018 were extremely kind and professional. I had accidentally broken a beer and it spilled everywhere. It was all over my legs and shoes. The women working upstairs were so quick to help me so I didn't slip. Thank you so much. Everything in this store is really gourmet and delicious. Upstairs, there is a bar, tables, TVs and even bocce ball. They have coffee, prepared foods, olive bar, pizza, sandwiches, rotisserie chickens in addition to groceries and many other things. I especially love this store when I'm hungry. I'm glad it exists.

Check that date. For sale and purchased for full price on 12/28. Very frustrating!

I love that there is a grocery store close by and the people that work here are very friendly...but, please please look at the expiration dates when you purchase anything here. Each time I have shopped here I have bought expired or pretty close to expiring items. Do they ever check the inventory and pull old items off the shelves? I've had to return a few things in the past. I was shopping there today when I noticed bacon that expired yesterday. The ONLY thing I didn't check before purchasing today was the bread expiration date and when I got home guess what?!?! I found it expired yesterday as well!! Too much of a hassle to go back for a return now. If it weren't for the convenience of having this grocery store close to home I probably wouldn't shop here. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous and is a regular occurrence as of late. I cannot possibly check every single item every single time I'm shopping.

Hanging out :)

Great place to grab something to eat. Has an awesome area upstairs that is chill. Brendan has such a passion for beer totally helpful and great to talk to. They have so many great craft beers. I go here everytime i am in town.

Imagine that. A pub in a supermarket.

This review is solely for the pub that is upstairs INSIDE the supermarket. A great selection of local craft and micro brews. And the bartender seemed like he knew what was going on. From my vantage point, the supermarket was very active on a Labor Day Monday and the shelves looked well stocked. Walking by the fish counter, there was no smell of (old and dead) fish, a great sign. Produce also looked good and well stocked. I didn't look at any prices, but with a parking lot containing Bentleys and Maseratis, I bet this is not the bargain shoppers first stop!

They have nimatodes

They take their beer seriously! Brendon is the best bartender 5 stars for the bar Love their extensive beer selection found all the best that I can't find at ur reg stop n shop or a&p such as Firestone Union Jack, lagunitas, stone ruinten IPA, prices are aggreable. THEY SELL GROWLERS!!!! Now reason for the 4 stars is because unlike other deciccios they don't have hotsauce at their hot buffet station. Also tip* Please put utensils upstairs at the seating area because last time I had to eat with my potato chips, I had already settled all my groceries bags down and opened my plate and soda as well as laptop ready to indulge then to realize ur missing utensils and having to reclose everything is just disturbing !

Amazing beer selection like most DeCicco's in the area. Upstairs is this lovely hangout with a bar and awesome bartenders. Brendon is not only super friendly but very well educated in the beers on tap and beers in general. You can bring food up from the hot/cold area as well as anything else you buy. Which makes for the perfect time when drinking. Truly enjoyable. Clean and modern location as well. Bring your growlers or buy one because you can get them filled here.

Stopped in to grab some lunch and chose some of the sushi options. The spicy tuna roll and the poke bowl were spicy but pretty sweet. Next time I think I'd stick to the hot food options.

I know this place already has a huge ego from all of their excellent reviews but I have to give…read morecredit where credit is due. The chicken vodka burrata pizza is to die for. Vibe is dark and loud. Unless there's a hidden upstairs or back room, seating is limited which is a problem when the pizza is this good. Meatballs as an appetizer is pretty much the only non-pizza thing to get here and those are solid as well. Service was good and pricing is fair for the quality of the food!

Recommended by a server at a new local restaurant. hhe was well versed in food. His comment was -…read more"I'm not from the area but I stopped in at Beekman Ale House...the best thin crust pizza I've ever had" Next day here we are, walked in, there were three seats available at the bar, grabbed all three so that we can have some breathing room. The place is not big but packed, we must have lucked out. The noise level was through the roof - LOUD is an understatement. Every table had at least one pizza 'stand' The menu is limited - 4 starters, 4 salads, 11 pizzas and 1 Pie of the week - (add ons available, pies 12"), oh and 1 desert. On Tuesdays Detroit style pizza - THE END. We ordered the Bianca - Sausages, Garlic, Broccoli, Baby Kale, Cremini Mushrooms and Mozzarella. It took a while but well worth the wait. The pizza was delicious - thin crispy crust, it was like bitting into a loaded crispy, chewy 'potato chip' Very reasonably priced Will be back One star off for room temperature red wine
