So let me just start by saying I had my first interview here at Trader Joe's. Everything seemed to go pretty well. I met with two crew members then the second 20 minutes of my first interview over two weeks ago. I met with one captain and one crew member, then again email early last week asking me to call the store for my second interview that they want to proceed. I call up speak to a young lady named Melissa and then one of the captains in the front end which is a manager named Louis then they tell me to come in today for 2 PM for an interview for my second one to meet with another captain I come in joyfully positively thinking granted I did pray prior no harm in Ende to people who aren't religious telling God that God will give me the right position at the right store, whether it be Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. I really enjoy shopping at Trader Joe's even though a lot of trucks have found glass in them personally as well as on the news however I go in positive thinking and the. Captain Luis tells me hey he's so sorry that the email corresponded not in the right time that I called early last week and that they went with somebody else let me get you a gift card for your inconvenience of traveling so after I was promised a second interview to potentially get a job they then screwed me. Apologize that they didn't know that the email was sent out prior to me speaking to someone on the phone to set up an interview a second one they could've called me or emailed me after that within seven days they didn't I come in and he gives me a $30 gift card because he decided to hire somebody else pretty messed up if you asked me not to mention it's very inconvenient to get somebody to come in when you're not hiring a person. read more

I live here. Whenever I'm outdoors, I find my way to Trader Joe's. This location and store is the greatest. They continuously have new foods and is great for people who love to try new cuisines. Eveything here is fabulous!!! I can not recommend them enough. Not coming back to this location.. I went up to the register to pay for my items and there were two cashiers one ringing and one bagging.. neither one said hello just continued their conversation. I learned that today at 1:00 there will be a truck coming and the bagger chick was like yeah looks like I'll be doing flowers today.. the cashier was like I learned how to do them do you like them... blah blah blah.. yea she trained me but with her you never learn everything... so I was told my total .. gave payment .. got my receipt and change. Normal TJ's place ur bags in the cart and pass it to you .. not here .. had to get my cart , grab my bags and put in the cart... AND THE WHOLE PROCESS not one thank you .. No acknowledgement of the customer.. just talk talk talk .. as I'm writing this in the parking lot .. they are still talking and not acknowledging the customer read more

I wish Preakness was filled with stores like this nice, big, clean Trader Joes, Ulta, Panera's to make that a good center. Oh well. This Trader Joes has a good selection (unfortunately some great foods are only seasonal) and the produce is nice. The staff is super friendly and they help readily and with good attitudes. I was looking for a product, which probably was discontinued, and one of the workers tried helping, recruiting another to help, and then another -- they were amazing! read more

I come to this location quite often as it is on my way home from work. Like most Trader Joe's, its busy! luckily there is plenty of parking (unlike the Paramus location) so that's a +1 for here. Unfortunately this place is much smaller and they do not carry everything the other location offers. To be honest, they carry plenty though and i have never found it to be an issue, they always have everything i could want. Sometimes i find the shelves kind of empty but i understand why. The employees, like all TJ employees, are always so nice! I love having a nice conversation at check out and if i ever have any questions they are always very informative. I like this place a lot, just your typical Trader Joe's though, nothing really different. Although congested a bit on the inside, the employees move quick and it's easy to run in for a 15 minute shopping trip. read more

One of the better TJs I've been too. I usually go to the one in Ramsey on route 17 but was in the area and stopped in at this one and it's much better. Less crowded, cleaner and updated. As always the folks working there were very nice and efficient. Plenty of parking in the lot! read more

They did a great job with this new development on Hamburg Tpke in Wayne offering the Trader Joe's a larger spot with at least 9 registers & a new facility is always nice. And all you'd expect from Traders. I like Traders for the organic produce & nuts conveniently usually in the same aisle. I've always loved & have used their bags/my own for years. They are a mostly friendly & fun place to shop; I like that the employees seem authentic (sorry about the extremist among them that one shopper noted & much as I agree there are too many unhealthy mindsets, this is a human problem that each of us & all employers need to deal with, not exclusive to traders.) In this new development the Paper Source/Hallmark (that moved from the almost dead Preakness mall which I like for walking & sad to see it disappearing.) & a new Panera which does take up a good chunk of parking at lunch time (who knew Panera was so popular!) but there's still ample parking. Compare to another Traders eg Westfield, that while they have wine & beer, the parking there is horrendous, barely worth the trip. So grateful they planned this Wayne site well with respect to parking & it's also beautifully landscaped. read more

This is a great TJ location! Discovered it recently, as normally I shop at either the Clifton or Millburn stores. It's a smaller TJ, but organized and the shelves are well stocked. The staff here are friendly and helpful, too. Plus, the store wasn't packed and the customers seem more chill here (I won't say which TJ stores, but I've seen it get pretty much combative between TJ customers at certain places). I will most likely be back to the Wayne location whenever I need to shop for my Trader Joe's must haves and I recommend it. read more

I'm kind of jealous Wayne has both Trader Joe's AND Whole Foods lol. I typically go to the Clifton Trader Joe's on route 3, but this Trader Joe's definitely has more stuff and larger. It's a bit of a drive, but for the variety and much better/larger parking lot, the hike up here is worthwhile from time to time. I have been a Trader Joe's fan for over a decade and have shopped in several states, so it pains me to write this review. On Wednesday, Jan 6, 2021, I was entering the store and overheard the greeters having a highly inappropriate political and racist conversation using the words "gender reassignment", "democratic's pet projects", "stupid democrats" and "it's the Blacks" fault. Imagine just trying to get groceries in peace and hearing this? I respect everyone's right to an opinion, however the entrance of Trader Joe's is not the right place for this. I immediately went to the manager to inform her of what was said. She apologized and assured me that the greeter would be chastised. As much as I love this new location, I just can't go back knowing that something like this can happen again. read more

The place is clean with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The line moves quickly as well, zero complaints from me.

I love this store. We love the frozen sweet potato frites, Joe Joes, Strawberry Mochilce, and the smashing s'mores are all favorites. The people are always nice and courteous. I have never seen them be anything but that. I would like them to bring back one of the salads I loved (gorgonzola and walnut salad). They don't seem to have it anymore. I have never seen them be abusive or discriminate against anyone. If you don't like the bells, Stop and Shop is nearby with a wacky robot who likes to report spills. Have a good time watching the googly eyed creature walk in front of you and beep like crazy. I'd rather see human beings who are friendly and treat people with respect, which is all I see here. I love it! I would like it move to a bigger place so it will have more options available. read more

This location is horrid. The staff is absolutely not nice and talks behind your back. The older lady at the door always talks about anyone who walks in. She asked me to wait a moment at the door which is fine, when she wanted me to get a basket I asked her if it's ok to go in now? She mumbled out loud and said, "I'm doing my job"....I'm like um that's not what I asked ? The black guy at the register is sassy and just plain doesn't want to be there and doesn't get how to work in the real world. He yells at everyone; doesn't say hi, he looks miserable. He literally screamed at me, and said, "Can't you read what the pin pad says!!!" I'm not returning to this location. The Clifton one is far easy to handle, and the staff is always amazing . read more

I LOVE this Trader Joe's! I wish I could do all of my grocery shopping here, but they are missing a few items that I usually need. Other than that, it's pure perfection. Everyone that works here is extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. I actually asked a cashier once if they were told to act that way, and her response was (with a big smile), "No, they just only hire nice people". I thought that was so cute. They give out free samples of their coffee and different appetizers, meals, sides, or desserts each day. I also think all of their brand items are delicious. Their Moroccan Mint Iced Tea, Creamy Tomato Soup, and Multi-grain Bread are some of my favorites. I love their foaming hand soap too. They have great quality items, very fair prices, and a pretty big parking lot in a good location! read more

I stopped by Trader Joe's - Wayne while coming from work. Upon arrival there was a service worker providing hand sanitizer prior to entering the store which is nice to see. Store wasn't crowded at all. Check out was fast, pleasant and efficient. This location isn't as well stocked as neighboring stores but I for what I needed. read more

I came here because I was in the area and needed to pick up some Staples at Trader Joes. Needless to say I could not find anything I needed like the pumpkin brittle or vanilla and chocolate macaroons. I thought I was going to another Trader Joes, but I ended up at this one. This one is great to go to from the hotel I am in. It is hellacious to drive back to the hotel, craziness. Anyway, in Kansas City I go to Trader Joes about once a month. I like the food. When I am traveling, I appreciate Trader Joes. I never seem to have enough food to eat when I travel. I was glad to find this one. Trader Joes is bright, perky, and unique. This particular Trader Joes is in a shopping strip mall with an older Macy's. I would love it if Trader Joes had specific bags, kind of like the Bass Pro shirts at different locations. Anyway, no 3 dollar wine here. But they have the same products as other Trader Joes. I like the consistency. They love their customers. There is another Trader Joes around here, closer to Newark Airport. I think it's fantastic, and I wish there were more. 4 stars, a snow is coming, and there's no wine here. read more

Abusive Treatment of Customers, Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities by This Trader Joe's! There wasn't even a "Thank You" given us at the check-out register, as the cashier did not believe it was her job to say it! That's representative of the nasty treatment and lack of appreciation for customers at this Trader Joe's. Even more horrific is the store's illicit discrimination against persons with disabilities, such that a customer will be mocked, insulted and taunted by staff members if a special need or necessary accommodation is brought to their attention. As we've noted at other Trader Joe's, the loud bell is rung at dangerously high decibel levels for those within close range as the trademark way of calling for more bags, register bills or coins, a manager, stock, price-checking or any other excuse that can be found to ring it. But for any customer who has inner ear damage, sensitivity to loud sounds, PTSD and related conditions, that loud bell can trigger severe pain, headaches, ear ringing and other problems that last for hours afterwards--as I have already experienced. Amazingly, the chain could care less. Trader Joe's flaunts the gimmick of the bell, and tells customers that if they don't like it, they can shop elsewhere - which is a flagrant violation of ADA disability rights law. Although I try to avoid many locations because of this, I thought I'd take a chance and patronize this one. But the response could not have been more deplorable when I simply attempted to use an end register lane to avoid nearby bell-ringers, and politely explained my disability to the cashier and asked that no bell in close proximity be rung until I had paid and exited. While waiting to use the end register so as not to bother other patrons or store operations, at least two other checkers roused me and attempted to literally pull my wagon to another lane, arguing that I did not need to pick a specific check-out line! (Really? When did this become a rule at any retail store?) Along with being humiliated, I was treated like a piece of garbage, while my disability was treated as a joke. I have a great sense of humor, but mocking and abusing people with disabilities, and making sport of such customer's problems, is not in my wheelhouse of fun. Trader Joe's of Wayne should be BOYCOTTED for their mistreatment of persons with medical conditions who take the time to inform store personnel about them, ask for the simple accommodation of not having the bell rung in their face, and are otherwise minding their own business and not bothering a soul! As for the bell, it should be banned immediately in light of the store's failure to comply with ADA law, and failure to respect the rights and dignity of customers who will be harmed by the bell's decibel level. read more

This location is really going downhill. The refrigerators aren't cold enough to keep refrigerated items cold. It's nearly impossible to find decent, unspoiled fruit. This used to be my go-to store, sadly I am unable to continue shopping at this location. read more

I love Trader Joe's, there is always tasty quick stuff to eat if your in a pinch, They have a really good prepared food section ranging from sushi, to pasta, to sandwiches and wraps. I love their sparkling lemonade and their Hummus dips. Also, they have slices beef which is great for stir-frying, which I never see at any other supermarkets. read more

I love Trader Joe's, but this location lacks the variety of say the Route 17 or NYC locations. The checkout lines often back up, which makes navigating the small store very difficult. Also, I would not advise going on a Sunday because they often sell out of a lot of products. However, the service is very friendly, and they will order products for you from other stores. read more

I've never had a bad thing to say about any Trader Joe store. As a matter of fact, I usually love going in. However, the new Wayne location does not live up to the usual standards. I was there yesterday & was not aware there was a single line & you had to wait to be directed to the next available line. That is fine & I had no problem doing this. The lady doing the directing needs to be coached. She started off aggressively & when I mentioned this is not how my Trader Joe's does it so I wasn't aware, she took exception to that & commented about blocking the aisles....again in an argumentative way. I will stick to Florham Park Trader Joe's from now on. Simply speak politely to people. read more

I love Trader Joe's! I wish I could do all my grocery shopping here. They have such unique products that you can't find in your average supermarket. The prices are extremely reasonable! They have a nice selection of different dips, sauces and condiments that are all about 2-3$! I usually buy different ones to put out with bread as appetizers if I have company over and they are always a hit. I love the bruschetta here, probably one of my favorite tj items! So fresh tasting with big tomato chunks that's not overly garlicky. The roasted pepper and eggplant dip and pesto quinoa spread are great with bread as an appetizer too. The pasta sauces are great too, my favorite is the creamy tomato. The cheese department is fantastic! If you wanna make a nice cheese plate for company, this is your spot! They have a huge selection of different cheeses and the wedges are all about 3-5$! Other grocery stores charge way more for a little wedge but tjs is much more reasonable. One of my other favorites is the asiago Romano parm cheese blend. So good!! I could eat the slices wedges right out of the container. Nice to top on pasta or pizza dishes. I love coming here because they always seem to have something new and interesting to try. The frozen meals have saved my life! So affordable and easy to make. I love the chicken fried rice, burrito bowls, turkey meatballs, chili lime chicken burgers.. they have so much to offer. Lots of different cuisines to choose from like Asian, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Greek.. they also have lots of assorted frozen veggie packs that are great for a stir fry meal. They always have new little frozen apps that a great for entertaining. The spinach and artichoke dip, Brie cheese bites and potstickers are my favorites. They have some pre made food as well like sandwiches, salads, sushi and soups. I love the ancient grains lentil soup. Oh and if you have a sweet tooth they have so many little containers of different chocolate covered sweets. Anything from pretzels, nuts, fruit, smores bites and more. I love the dark chocolate sea salt covered graham crackers and the cookie butter is dangerously good! No matter what location I go to the employees are always friendly and helpful. It's like they only hire nice people! I only wish the stores were a little bigger as it can get crowded going at peak times but the lines always seem to move fast. read more

I was in NJ on business for the day - which sucks... I hate driving in NJ. What do you people have against left turns!? WHY!?!? Lost my train of thought... Okay, anyway so after my day's work I decided to stop by at this TJ I happened across during my travels. It is a bit smaller than the TJ in Brooklyn and at Union Square in Manhattan, but the employees were just as helpful as they are at any TJ. In my experience, Trader Joe's has a very high emphasis on customer satisfaction. Their prices are pretty good, and they serve quality groceries. This TJ seemed to be a bit smaller than others, and their produce section needed expansion. They had only a few fresh product options (bell peppers, tomatoes, a few other things) all fit on one middle-aisle rack... Not very impressive... But still a good spot to visit if you're in the area. Mind you, I wouldn't travel very far to come to this one specifically, but if what I need is pretty generic and I am in the area I would stop by again. read more

Staff is great and they have lots of fave foods, etc. However, ratio of Organic foods to Non-Organic is slipping fast. They have a wall full of bread but this past weekend I could not find just a simple bag of organic whole wheat bread. Yes there's whole wheat, but not organic. Yes there is organic bread, but either multigrain, spelt, etc. Same goes for eggs. Not an organic egg in the house between last Saturday and Monday. As for produce, also turning into a conventional-only, with very, very few Organic choices. May as well go to Shop Rite or Corrados for these items. I dislike all the packaging waste that goes into TJ's produce, with everything being individually wrapped. Business doesn't seem to be suffering; am I the only one who notices? read more

This is a wonderful grocery store where I now do the majority of my food shopping. The selection is smaller than a supermarket, but they have the best stuff. Quality over quantity. They have some very exotic and interesting products also. Everything that take home from here is delicious. And I love how they have free coffee samples every day! It can get tiring going to a grocery store and walking around so that was a great idea. It definitely helps keep me a happy shopper. read more

I go here once a month. The workers are always really nice. My sons love finding the two cows they have hidden around the store sot hat they can get a free lollipop. I think the only downside to them is that they have no sales or coupons to use there. That really saddens me. It is a good thing their food is worth it. read more
