We started calling around with no one willing or capable in our first five calls. My brother in-law got a hold of Darren who said he would check on it on Sunday if we could get it to shop. We got a call back on Sunday for a heads up on the job...that's his day off. After they pushed back or reschedule other jobs for us (traveling) they started Monday morning and we had our car back on Tuesday morning. Nice. I trusted them because I recognized their brand name and saw their commercials. Everything was great, they were nice but my car was supposed to be done by the end of the week. It was not. It took them close to two weeks because they said they got the wrong part (some springs for a valve body were too long or something) Okay, so I call, and call and nobody is answering. I get their answering machine!!! Can you believe that? I go down there (in a taxi) and ask the manager at the counter, and he says he has to ask the mechanic, who is off today. I look and my car is not even on a lift! It's parked out back with some stuff hanging out from under neath it. In the hot blazing sun with black greasy hand prints on the hood. Unbelievable. Finally I get my car back, and it ran great for about 3 days until It starts to slip, and there is blue smoke coming out from the tail end. I took it back and they admitted the guy had not put enough transmission fluid in it!!! So it burned up my clutch packs. Smoked my transmission. I was stunned. I decided I had enough and I left. I do not trust them to even try to fix it again. I took my car back to Tradeway Transmissions. There is no substitute for going to the best. I should have never left them as a customer. Those guys are honest, fast and really know their way around ALL cars, especially Mercedes Benz's. Avoid Aamco at all costs.

No up selling, no nonsense, very honest. I would have normally taken my vehicle to my dealership, but I've lost all faith in the Service Dept., and the Tech in mis diagnosing causing me several hundred more dollars, as well as taking it elsewhere to find out it was just a bad battery and not the starter which the dealer missed and charged me for a new starter. Gateway, diagnosed and fix the issue in 4 hours. I highly recommend them. While not a big fancy facility, these gentlemen are honest, and fair. Excellent work!!!!
