They removed my device improperly for a temporary mechanic repair and after getting confronted by both Intoxalock and myself the customer, they refused to do anything to get the device back in compliance. I got lucky with no penalty from the State because I had paperwork showing they lied. Don't get yourself caught in a situation like this because a shop has a "quicker" way to do that's not legal. read more

I didn't have a great experience here. They took 3x longer than promised to do a basic job, then delivered a mostly nonfunctional system because they claimed to not have a part on hand. After returning back to Traffik Jamz yesterday they noticed the error in the amount they charged me and had already issued a $100 credit back to my credit card when I arrived back. The people had become more professional and I noticed immediately the change in demeanor. I apologize for not updating how the rest of the experience went for us. I could not be happier! I emailed Samson after learning about this place online and then reading all the great reviews. I told him what I wanted to achieve and he emailed me back with the options and prices. He definitely knows his stuff! When I got there, they brought be back, showed me all the options for placement and talked me through it all. I really appreciate them letting me be so specific. In just a little over an hour, I was on my way with an Aux hookup installed (for iPod, phone, etc.) to my stock stereo. No new deck needed! After installation, they went through everything to make sure I knew how it worked. Their service was top notch in every way, their work is beautiful and seamless and the price was very fair. I so wanted to give them 5 stars but can't. My steering/ignition column cover periodically keeps popping out of place and I've already went back to them once to fix it. The tech said it wasn't properly installed to its original fittings during the remote start install. What a nightmare. I didn't realize a lifetime warranty on labor would mean a claim every 6 months for crappy work. They also didn't have my remote start the day of my appt so that took an extra hour or so before they could even start on my car. A plus is they were able to schedule me for an appt within a week and pricing was competitive, but they seemed rushed and unorganized during the whole process. Delilah is the sweetest person ever and does everything she can to get things done, but the back end needs work. Samson seems genuine and is courteous, but unbelievably busy. The never ending line of interlock folks and issues that seem to arise from that long reset process seem to affect the installations happening in the back and overall customer service - Just my opinion. I came here because of the great reviews on FB and Yelp and I'm all about small businesses and supporting gente, but I doubt I'll recommend them for anything in the future. read more

Love this place and Samson! My old but awesome Acura Legend was having some issues with the stereo. I had sound but no bass. How sad that is with summer right around the corner. I had to have the boom going on. It took all of five seconds for Samson to fix my stereo! And he even offered to keep an eye out for a replacement center console for my car! I had a troubleshooting issue the couple of shops couldn't diagnose, took it to Samson, not only he fixed it but rearrange wires and now the stereo sounds amazing. I had a great stereo to begin with, but now instead of just high volume on the highs, I can appreciate the surround detail, and the base booming. Thanks to Samson and crew. Well done. Oh I went because of base issue, but the front driver speaker wasn't working, and Samson diss assembled the door, put a used crossover and fixed it. Samson and his crew are fantastic! After I got my Tundra, I decided that I really wanted to upgrade my stereo and install an auto start. Trekking up from the DTC, I caught Samson about ten before closing. To his credit he could have easily turned me away to come back another day, but instead spent about 45 min going over every little thing I wanted done. Ended up setting the appointment for stereo, auto start, speakers, GPS, HID lights, back up camera, and satellite radio. True to his word, he and the guys got cracking on the truck. When things longer than planned (Samson needed to keep the truck an extra day for a part) he offered to drive me to and from work. He showed up right on time and I got my truck as we agreed. Upon taking the truck, I was backing up and Samson noticed a tail light out. After some quick diags, he found the problem to be with the trailer brake that the previous owner had installed incorrectly. I was more than pleased. Gave the owner and this business every opportunity in the last few years to not only treat me right but make good on products they recommend. Had custom work done on my truck that took a year to complete after being told it would take 2 weeks. The owner sets unreasonable deadline dates and then when you bring it up as a concern you get yelled at and hung up on. My vehicle was also used to prop up equipment for other installs they were doing in the shop and even had my truck in one of their car shows without my permission. My truck was there so long the Optima battery died. It lasted for 6 years so it was about time to replace it anyway and when I told him I was going to bring a new battery down he said no and that I needed a Full River Audio battery at a tune of 400 bucks. I said no problem. Order it. That battery died in 2020. Didn't even last a year and now I'm being told I have to replace it under warranty which I'm ok with but I guess that process takes months. Battery dies in December 2020 and I've still yet to see a replacement. Its now MARCH!! Great customer service guy! But I'm sure its Full Rivers fault or better mine. Even while this battery fiasco was going on I had talked about getting a new alarm and head unit installed in another car I bought on January 16th...Guess I'm a glutton for punishment...Simple head unit and alarm install according to the shop. 3 cancellations later I was still waiting for an install a month later. Took it to a more reliable shop and guess what? install done and car returned to me in 3 hours. Never would recommend this shop for future work...NEVER! read more

They're also very competitive with pricing compared to any other shop. I've done business with almost every installation shop in the metro area in the last 20 years and will never go anywhere else but here. They built the sweetest custom box I've ever owned for my 3 JL Audio 12" w6's, installed an awesome DD amp to run the subs, jl audio amp for two sets of Focal mids and highs, Pioneer 7" head unit, and 2 Stinger batteries to power the whole system! We might also do lighting for the whole set up later. Samson seriously killed it and I'll be a customer for life! As a business owner I appreciate good service and honesty and the price was very affordable. I had them install alarms and automatic starts in my service vans for my business. MY CAR WAS GIVEN BACK IN WORSE SHAPE THAN WHEN I LEFT IT! I'm not sure if these other reviews are written by his friends or co workers but here is an honest story of an experience with Samson and Trafik Jams Audio. I definitely didn't see the "honest" or "courteous" side of Samson! I brought my car down to have them look at it initially and he said they have experience putting systems in my type of car. I asked him if he could double check since I heard my kind of car is difficult and since he quoted me a lower price than what I got from Best Buy or Car Toys. I made another appointment and came down. He took off the dash and looked at the radio and said everything was good. I asked what type of system could I put in there and he showed me a catalog of Pioneer radios. I went and purchased the $1200 radio online and scheduled an appointment to have it installed. The first appointment he wasn't there and I called him later to be told he had court that day so we had to reschedule. The next appointment I dropped off the car in the morning. At noon I get a call from Samson saying that the he didn't think he could install my radio at that price he quoted anymore. I asked why and he said he did some research online for about 2 hours (not sure why that is needed if he had done my type of car before) and that it was a more complicated install. He then quoted me a price almost 3X the initial amount ($1300 compared to initial $450). I told him that was out of the question and to please put my car back together and I would pick it up. Samson asked me if I wanted him to leave the rear camera on the car. Now..If you couldn't install the stereo WHY would you mount the rear camera?? Despite that you are going to still charge me considering the time I wasted and the misquote you provided??! Worst thing was that HE GOT ANGRY at me and said I should have known better if I had done research on the car. WHAT?! You are the professional so Im pretty sure YOU are the one that should instruct me on what is needed and quote the right price. Samson then tells me that I cant get my car till the end of the day and HANGS UP on me. I called him twice later that day only to get voicemail and was never told when my car was ready. I had to go down and hope it was done. Once I got there the hood was up and Samson was not at the shop. One of his employees came over and then reconnected my battery cable and let me take the car. Once I got home I noticed my daytime lights would not turn off on the car! He did something that wouldn't allow the lights to turn off so the battery would completely drain. In hindsight I realized this is why they didn't connect the battery until I picked up the car. Im not sure if this was done intentionally or on accident but to just leave it and not tell the customer is completely wrong! I had to spend $100 at the repair shop to get the problem corrected. This is a nightmare experience and there is no one to correct the issues at the shop since they seem to start with Samson. Save yourself some money and time and run from this place!! read more

I was looking for some place other than the standard BestBuy, Car Toys, Quality Auto Sound chain type of places to put in my system. I wanted to be able to work directly with the installer on all the little details I envisioned. I found that with Samson at Traffik Jamz. I'm not sure he does it for everyone else, or that they would want to, but he allowed me to spend the day with him while we went through each aspect of the install. Asking my preferences for important details along the way. He also got me better than retail pricing on a lot of the items needed for install. When two of my speakers stopped working six months later, I went back and he fixed the problem in minutes. I thought I would save some money and use these guys over Best Buy or Car Toys. Mistake! Had a DVD player installed. As soon as I left the place I noticed that it was bouncing off the ceiling of the car. I immediately turned around and went back. The tech told me it was normal for it to have a little bounce. Later that week I took the car to Best Buy car installation. They told me it was not installed correctly and would eventually pull the head liner down. To replace a ripped head liner is more than a $1000 dollars. So I took it back took another 3-4 hours to install it correctly. 2 trips total time wasted 7-8 hours for a simple DVD player install. On top of that the installer left screws all over the back seat floor and a side panel on the dash ajar that has never been right going forward. I have toddlers that will put anything in their mouth. Leaving small sharp objects (screws) lying around is not acceptable. I found 7 screws on the floor of the back seat! Turns out the majority of Traffik Jams business is breathalyzer ignition installs that are court mandated for people who get convicted of DUI. I tried to save some money and support local businesses in this case big mistake. If you have any type of car install I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

Went to these guys a number of times mostly for the low cost of services. Definitely didn't enjoy their costumer service there though. The staff was never friendly, said the bare minimum required of a conversation. This although was not what put a sour taste in my mouth about this place. I was having issues with their equipment one day and came in to ask how much it would cost to get fixed. They quoted me $1500. I asked if that was a common price and the woman replied that was the price I would find everywhere else I went. So I called an old buddy of mine who owns his own place. He told me to come in and that there would be no charge and nor should there have been in the first place! I can't believe how badly these people tried to gauge my bank account! I am currently trying to get my tail lights gun smoked (tinted) and while searching for places to get it done i came upon this place once again. so i decided i would leave my own review of this place. i went in to have my entire headlights replaced ( i bought some angel eyes) and that day the tech took of my entire front bumper and replaced the lights. no problem right. but one of the headlights did not work right. it could have been a manufacturer problem, so i decided to replace them again with the original so i can send back the angel eye headlights. so then i said to myself ok well i still want my headlights to be bright like 5000k bright. so i asked them about HID's and they said they could do it. they told me to come back on Saturday and they would have their own HID's they can install for me. so i said ok, and came back on Saturday. ( i called but they didnt asnwer to make sure everything was ready to go) i got to the location and they said i would have to come back again because their supplier didnt have the HID's yet. OMG!! I drove from highlands ranch to this location just to be sent back. that was bullshit! so i sucked it up and said ok and came back the next time and they finally had my HIDs, he installed them and everything was looking good and i loved the headlights now so bright and white light! as i was driving back home on i-25 i heard some grinding and was concerned but i decided to ignore it. when i got 1 block from my home i made a left turn and heard a sudden hard grinding sound, turns out the grinding was because my FENDER LINER FRONT LEFT DRIVER side fell off because the lazy tech didn't put back the screws ( these plastic things that kind of hook on to it) and it fell off and was totaled, i had to buy a new one for 75$ just to fix that issue. i never even bothered to contact them again and i would never go back here even if you paid me to do it IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR TO BE IN ONE PIECE DO NOT TAKE IT HERE!!! read more

Amp fell apart because he mounts them on the box. (look at his pics) cost me 1200. Relay and lighting had to be completely redone. All carpet peeled. Of course the fail box had to have 18 inch spacers on it to even make it usable. Lastly he did not tune the portto my recommendations because he does not know how. This is a ghetto shop. Now that I ve been here for awhile I've met lots of others that laugh at his shop and installs. Just check out the JBL setup he just did. Fire hazard and also mounted the amp on the box and when this guy comes in with problems, guess what its the customers fault. This guy is a Joke seriously and so is his business. Stay away and go ANYWERE else. Unfortunately, Sam Perez (Owner of TJ) will act like your friend until money has exchanged hands, then you are at his mercy. I just needed a SPL box for two 18s and a radio installed. They completely botched both installs then vigorously pointed the finger at me so they wouldn't have to warranty their sloppy work. After I showed my frustration, I was kicked out of the shop and cursed at on the way out by Sam (Owner). Vigorously yelling and cursing at me at the top of his lungs like an upset child, and insisted that I ruined my box and that I was giving him "a guilt trip." First off the holes on my SPL box were cut too big, and when Sam mounted them he also had multiple screws on each woofer not completely make contact with the wood. Therefore after a week, EACH speaker came completely loose on one side destroying the box and boring out the subwoofer mounting screw holes. When I showed him a video and texted him through Facebook, he immediately implied that I must have done something to make them strip like that..(yea right) Also, they did not even secure my Pioneer face plate correctly. THEY USED TAR!!! They stuck tar all over the face of my radio to hold the retaining face plate on which it did not hold. Tar is all over my radio now and since tar does not hold, as my 7 inch screen came out of the slot so did the retaining faceplate whitch furthermore broke the flip up motor and now my radio does not retract, at all.. The job was for the box and beauty panels ONLY. That's it. He rushed me out of there at 11:30pm (5 1/2 hours AFTER CLOSING) and over 3 weeks after paying in full and did not even attempt the beauty panels or reschedule them. He ruined my first box by not measuring speaker depth. It had to be redone BECAUSE MY SUBS MAGNETS WERE RESTING ON THE PORT. He ruined my second box by cutting mounting holes too big, and ruined my radio by using tar to install it. They did not offer to fix anything, instead took jabs at my online purchases and tried to make ME feel bad for paying 30-50% UNDER retail for buying from amazon. (everyone should buy amazon IMO) I had an appointment for them at 9am to (once again) complete the beauty panels and fix the box (I'm paying for a 2nd time) but Sam "hurt" his arm. I understand this but the subwoofer issue needs to be addressed before any damage occurs so I say forget the panels and help me mount these woofers. Let me remind you that there are other installers available as well besides Sam. With HIS instruction on the hardware needed to fix and mount the subs, and even offered me a drill bit for the T-nut solution he came up with.. When I eventually find out that the sub holes are too big, he would have nothing to do with it even though it is 100% the box makers error. He thought it was just stripped screws and not a box fail. Frustrated, sunburnt, sweating, blistered, and after 5 hours of sitting in front of his office without him even coming out there once is when I relayed my frustration. An argument ensued over the lack of guidance and help when there are literally ZERO cars being worked on and that's when HE cursed ME out until I left his parking lot. Being a human being that can resolve differences via calm dialogue, I tried to inquire why I was being ignored in a calm tone. That's when Sam went OFF like a 10 year old about his arm being hurt.I have extensive training and I could instantly tell by his arm motions that the pain he was saying he was in was not a reality but just a big child's way of getting out of work for the day. I have never been treated this way by a business or business owner. I am easy to get along with and 99% of the times just go with the flow. Do not believe the positive yelp reviews, they have been put there "by the homies" to help an already floundering business. This place is an INTERLOCK DWI shop. Not to mention the show room is filled with dented and blown woofers (no joke), old overpriced radios, hydro dipping samples that are riddled with bumps, and EVERYTHING needs to be ordered besides a few alarms they MAY have in stock if you DO decide you want something.. read more

Well let me start by saying that this was by far the best stereo installation process I have ever had! I found Traffik jamz on yelp because I was looking for someone new to install a stereo for me. I have had terrible service from both car toys and quality auto sound in the past. I initially called Samson to get quotes for a couple of stereo's I had in mind that I wanted installed. He very promptly gave me a flat price quote that included labor, the stereo itself, and parts. I was very impressed with his prices as well. Car toys won't even give you a ballpark quote or anything over the phone. So that already made me feel good about working with him. Secondly, Samson was very patient with me as I changed my mind a few times on which unit I wanted. Every time I left him a message he promptly called me back. That doesn't happen a lot anymore in the customer service industry. After finally deciding on what deck I wanted, I was very happy with the total price. I was able to schedule an install date on a saturday which was very flexible around my schedule. I was very particular about having an ipod hook up cord that was hidden and accessible through my glove compartment, which he told me was no problem to do. I've always wanted that feature and that was all included in the first quote he gave me. Pretty freakin cool. Once I got there I was greeted in a professional, friendly matter that felt truly genuine. The installation took only 30 min and was the cleanest install I have had to date. It was better than I had imagined. Samson then helped me sync my phone via bluetooth to the stereo and then showed me all the steps on how to operate the unit from GPS to Ipod to dvd. The final price was EXACTLY what he originally quoted me for. No hidden extra labor or parts fees. None of that. To me, that is the most important factor in establishing a reputation and name for yourself. I would highly recommend getting your stereo installed here. I'm surprised myself, after all the great experiences previous reviewers had, that my experience amounted to a measly 2 star review. My parents bought me a Groupon for Christmas to get a remote start installed in my car...they did all their research remotely from Indiana relying mostly on the 5 star Yelp reviews and even scheduled the appointment for me on a Saturday afternoon. As part of my Christmas gift, my parents even scheduled my 3pm Saturday appointment for me and we were all told the installation would be finished within 2-3 hours. Well my 2-3 hour quoted install carried over to the next day, which also equates to $30 in unanticipated Uber rides. Previous reviewers mentioned the owner offered them a ride so they didn't have to wait, but no one offered me a ride (a 27 year old female, by herself in a somewhat sketch part of town....after dark since I wasn't told until after 8pm that they wouldn't finish installing until the next day). No one really even talked to me while I sat there waiting all day Saturday. When I asked for status/estimated completion time, I got a shady non-committal answer. It was an uncomfortable/awkward experience from the moment I walked in the door. Flash forward 5 months, and a piece of my car just popped off where they tried sticking the wire. Not a good experience. Sent message on a weekend via their website explaining what I needed and left phone number. Monday afternoon, no response so I called and got voicemail so left a message. Tuesday called and left another voicemail asking for return call, realize they may be busy. Wednesday actually talk to a person who said they got my messages, explained what I needed and set up appt for following Tues at 10:00am. Arrive at shop a few minutes early only to find sign on door saying they were closed until 9/4. No phone call from them to reschedule appt and no answer, just voicemail again. Very happy with the job Piper at Traffik Jamz did installing a 4 channel amp in my 2015 Honda Civic! The music is now loud and clear, you can really crank the tunes! Everyone at the shop is very friendly and it didn't take too long, about 90 minutes I am guessing. Their prices are very reasonable. I used the equipment I bought online, a Clarion amp and install kit from Crutchfield. Car looks just as before, and Piper hid the amp behind the dash panel, you can't even see it! For the amp. install the price was $95, I thought that was very fair, and less then other shops I asked for quotes from. I've had nothing but problems with the installation he did. Cracked my dash, phone didn't work, now the radio won't work, very expensive system acts up. Now he won't return my calls to fix the problems and he doesn't take credit cards so you have no recourse. Looks like I'lll have to take it to Car Toyz and pay them to fix his mistakes so what I saved taking it to him is more than lost. Edit. Since posting a negative review I've received 2 very angry emails from Sampson. I tried suggesting he just take the negative review as a call to improve his customer service and performance and now he's calling me dishonest. Buyer beware. read more

These guys couldn't have been nicer or more professional. My husband has been wanting to do some work on his Tahoe for a while now and last Friday afternoon we were driving to Denver and started looking for audio places. We called Traffik Jamz and Sam told us we could come by anytime to discuss what would be the best gear for the kind of sound we were looking for. He worked with my husband one on one and the very next morning he had the parts and installed everything without a hitch. I own a 2004 Toyota Prius, and when my CD player quit working, I balked at spending over $600 to replace it. After over a year of being CD-less, I finally searched on-line for equipment that I could put in my car to play CDs and also hook up with my iPod. I called Traffik Jamz because another person with a Prius had given a different company a so-so review. Samson gave me a quote for a new stereo and I drove up. I had a bit of trouble finding his shop, because I didn't drive into the collection of buildings far enough. It was supposed to take about an hour, but took one and a half, because he was called out to trouble-shoot on a recent installation. However, my radio was installed perfectly and I received an instruction booklet, plus my old equipment back, in case I ever parted with my car. I found the new radio/CD player a bit confusing to operate, compared to the original equipment on my Prius and it does not connect to my in-car monitor any more, but that does not affect either the monitor, nor the working of the radio/CD player. I enjoy having an equalizer, but sometimes the sound switches back and forth from the all-purpose setting, to the "vocal" setting I chose. I plan to call on Samson when I get some time, and I will let you know how it turns out. I have confidence he will fix it for me; I found him capable and direct; he made sure he had the equipment that would fit in my Prius before he made me a quote.
