We recently went to Trail Appliances in Surrey to look at what they had. We were just going in to get some ideas that would fit in with the new kitchen we are planning. Kash Rauf who is one of the product specialists inquired if we needed any help. We asked him a few questions about the stove we were looking at and then he joined us for a further discussion about the refrigerators they had on display. He then gave us information about the microwaves we were interested in. My first impression was surprise at the numbers and variety of products on display. I was met by a salesman who showed me a suitable washing machine. He was easy going with no high pressure tactics but possessing excellent product knowledge. After comparison with other companies we bought a washing machine and also a dish washer. the entire process was completed in a timely manner and was totally stress free from sales to delivery and installation. bought a washer on May 9. I was told next day delivery, after I paid he tells me that there is no stock so delivery will be May 13. I have no machine and a ton of laundry. Next it was absolutely difficult to schedule a delivery. I work several jobs and I have a protective dog and an 81 mom and I need to be there for the delivery because my dog bites. So ii kept telling them I wouldn't be home until after 3. It was absolutely difficult to get the delivery. They said they can't schedule it that late because they can't authorize overtime. I left work early and at 3 I called them and said I'm here when are you coming and the driver said around 4:39. I was so angry, I left work early when I didn't have too, I lost pay. So they get here close to 4:30 and take my old machine out, while loading the old one I get told you want to keep the hoses, I said yes they're fairly new The new machine gets delivered and they put ir in the middle of my basement, I have nobody to move it to where it should go I have a bad back and shoulder and ii managed to Move it. I hocked up all the hoses and out clothes in and it didn't take water. I look at the back and both my hoses are leaking badly. They damaged d the hoses when they unscrewed it. I told the delivery drivers they are new so leave then. Today is Sunday and have 2 weeks of laundry and I had to call I sick because we have no clean cloths band have to go to a laundry mat. I had a repair guy here to look at my old machine and he fill the washer with water, NO LEAKS!! My transmission was the problem and it's very expensive to repair. They aren't a good company, I messaged them and no reply. They will blame me for the leaky hoses. I have a receipt from a repair guy and I also called him and he said there was no issue with the hoses and they probably damaged them When removing them. I want them to take the machine back. I am done dealing with them i used them because I have heard of them. They delayed my delivery date , then I left work early because they told me there do not pay overtime and 3 is the latest , I lost work because they showed up at 4:30 and they is overtime. Then they dropped the machine on the middle of my basement and damaged my hoses I had ti call in sick to work to go to a laundromat and I can't move very well my shoulder and back are on psi for moving the machine. The Maytag I purchased left much to be desired pertaining to the panel. The plus and minus signs for adjusting any time setting was very frustrating. Hold it down to go fast, go right by the time wanted, use the minus to reverse, press once for each minute over. This will wear out very quickly. Archaic compared to my 20 year old one with the number pad. Couldn't return it once they plugged it in, it was installed. lol Finally got so frustrated I thought maybe they'd exchange it. Ooops!! No can do! This is the eighth day, only 7 days grace with that. So, have to pay all over again for one with the number pad. Have purchased one from another Trail Appliance store. The salesman was shocked with the other store's policy. Not impressed obviously. read more

We have been calling them for last 2 months, but they keep on giving ticket numbers and transferring to one another. how I wish there was a negative marking option. Really bad experience. We purchased a over the stove microwave last summer. It was installed only to find out it didn't work. We called Trail Appliance and was told that I had to deal with the manufacture and told it's easy just make a call and they will send someone out. We'll over six months later I still have a microwave that doesn't work. Still dealing with Samsung to get it repaired. The good customer service ends once they have your money. Even trying to call them you can leave a number for them to call back. But they don't call back. Stay on hold and all of a sudden your calls are disconnected. read more

Okay... my daughter and I believed Trail Appliances when, in May 15th we ordered and paid $1400.00 for a new washer plus extended warranty. The next day...Cyber attack. We phoned on May 19th and then went in person on May 21, after almost a week with no contact and were told both times, nothing could be done. But WHY DID YOU NOT TAKE OUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER? All you had to do was call us and keep up in the loop. You have our money but where is the courtesy of communicating with us? I've dealt at Trail Appliances for decades. I understand cyber attacks. But this poor if not non-existant customer service, is outright ridiculous. Week 2 without a washing machine. Makes me want my money back so I am free to go elsewhere. Keep reading! ;) Trail is corrupt and my experience here has been nothing but a horrible nightmare. Last Friday I bought a fridge with Jag, store manager who literally can't do anything right. He told me it would take 1 week. Great! Paid for the fridge. The next day on Saturday some lady calls and tells me my fridge will take 4-6 weeks? Why wasn't this told to me prior to my payment? So I called Jag right away and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I did not get a follow up call on Saturday. I did not get a follow up call on Monday. I didn't even get a follow call on Tuesday so I took the liberty to follow up myself. When I called the store on Tuesday the reception said Jag is off today. Ok fine. So the next day Wednesday I call back and FINALLY got a hold of Jag and I expressed to him how upset I am with the lack of communication and his response was that "he was off yesterday". Aren't you a manager? You can't get someone else to call me and tell me fridge eta? Absolutely ridiculous. At this point I'm so fed up I contacted head office and explained the situation. Then they had a lady named Joanie or Karen call me and all she said was "WERE CANCELLING YOUR ORDER" and hung up on me. Now these ppl are not picking up my call and I have no idea if the cancellation is confirmed. They still have a $1800 hold on my credit card and literally refuse to pick up my call. Dishonesty and lack of communication were what really tipped me over the edge however their response clearly shows that their management is ran by a bunch of immature adult children. Ignoring my calls?? You know I can just show up right?? Happy ending to this story though, I did end up contacting Midland instead and I ended up purchasing the same fridge from them for $150 less!! Don't go to Trail guys, unless you want to deal with some gangster wannabes! ----- You guys are really unprofessional. I was already asking for a refund before it was rudely screamed to me by ur manager Karen, so thanks for finally doing your job. All I want to know is confirmation of the cancellation, whether the money returns to my account today or 5 business makes no difference to me but you as a company who are holding my $1800 have the responsibility to communicate with me what you are doing with my money. No? Clearly Trail does not value customer service as they still fail to see their short comings. Changing the eta after payment is made is not only frustrating but unethical. No communicate after payment is also very sly. Very very sneaky ppl. And FYI, Midland sold me the exact same fridge for $150 less and with same one week eta. And they did not once make me feel like they had to bend over backwards for me nor did I need to sign some fake special order form. They will take your money with a smile, BUT IF YOU HAVE A WARRANTY OR SERVICE ISSUE THEY WILL DROP YOU LIKE A ROCK. I paid $2600 (out of $8000 total) for a cook top, it fried 3 times in the first 4 months. (I wish I had read the product reviews instead of trusting their salesman). Now they refuse to replace or refund. Since the prices here are the same as everywhere else I warn future customers of what you are NOT getting for your money, and suggest you spend your hard earned dollars ANYWHERE ELSE, and with a company that will actually stand behind their brands instead of passing the blame to someone else. I have incurred 9 days lost wages waiting for service calls (and the unit still isn't working). Countless phones calls, emails and inconvenience, not to mention out of pocket expenses. They even threatened to void my warranty if I didn't have my electrician re-check all the wiring connections and test voltages/amperage at all connections and then write a report ($200 out of my pocket, and yes, everything was originally done with an electrical permit by a licensed electrician). Aside from so much money wasted (my total expenses far exceeds the original cost of the appliance - and it's still not working) the bottom line is that I've been without a cooking appliance for 10 weeks out of 4 months since purchased. The Surrey location's General Manager, KAM, can't make a decision on what to do (says it's not his decision?!?!?), and keeps promising that someone will call, and that we need to "chill out", and "take a step back brother"... #1 ... You're not my brother. #2 ... I've never been so disgusted, or disrespected after spending my hard earned money in my entire life. #3 ... As far as I am concerned they have stolen from me, and my young family. #4 ... you are better off burning your money than giving it to Trail. We've been buying most of our appliances at Trail since 1991. Last month was the largest purchase yet with 4 stainless steel kitchen appliances. We found the salesperson (Sho) to be very helpful, knowledgeable, professional and not pushy so we made the purchase on our first visit. Unfortunately, since we didn't do our usual research, we discovered that the dishwasher leaked shortly after installation. It was a brand new model and the cool features seemed perfect but, online reviews revealed that this model had a bad failure rate for leaks. Sho and the store manager were quick to respond to our concerns and went above and beyond in getting the problem solved. Sho recommended an alternative unit based on our specs, and emailed brochures saving us another trip to the shop (this time we double-checked the online reviews). Both of them responded quickly to emails, something that many retailers are slow at doing. They quickly arranged for delivery and installation. (we hate hand washing!) We're happy with the replacement. We prefer shopping local business and will continue to recommend Trail. read more

Update since my last post, Trail finally contacted me after a week of me trying to get a hold of someone about my damaged dryer. It wasn't until I posted to Google Reviews and Yelp that I finally got some assistance. I was able to get a new dryer delivered and installed within a couple of days. Trail waived the delivery fee and installation and refunded me the original $25 delivery fee which I appreciate. In the end I am happy with the product, however in future I would not likely shop at this location due to the frustrating customer service experience. read more

My wife and I went to the Trail Appliance store on King George Blvd. in Surrey on March 11th 2017 to get prices on set for a upcoming kichen reno. We received absolutely no attention from any of the idle staff that were huddled in their area. We walked throughout thr entire store and still no attention from any staff member. One saleslady did remark that she liked the LuluLemon top my wife was wraring at the time. We had the money to spend to buy a new fridge,gas stove,dishwasher and a matching microwave. Well we still have the money and went to a different supplier and got immediate attention and put down a deposit on the products. Worst Service I ever have! I build my new home recently in Surrey and bought all my appliances from Trial Appliances located at 6750 King George Hwy, Surrey, BC. I asked them to install the same as well. They guys came and install my appliances and left. I noticed my brand new coffee maker and 48'' Jenn-Air fridge is not working. I called them and make them aware of the situation. Their guys came and said its damaged and need repair. My brand new appliances need repair? So, I have asked them to replace it, I don't want damaging or repaired appliances. But nobody heard and nothing happened. I have asked them so many times but they are making excuses. I have paid everything. Still waiting for my new appliances after 3 months, living without a fridge in my brand new home and they are doing nothing and just making excuses. Wow, they seemed like they gave us good service when we bought all of our high-end appliances but that is where it ended. I spoke to the manager and asked her, price was not an issue, whether we should get a Jenn air gas cook top or a Bosch one. She recommended the Jennair one. When we got it, 2 months later, we opened the box and discovered the gasket missing , the fan switch was broken and the markings around the control knobs were virtually invisible. We called Trail and asked them to please replace it, as if this was what was already wrong when we hadn't even used it yet, what else would be wrong. They have REFUSED. We have bought 3 Miele appliances and a Liebehr appliance from them as well. Never again. I have called the manager multiple times and she will NOT a call me back. I went in looking for a dishwasher as I had become fed up with the garbage one I'd bought elsewhere a few years earlier and constantly calling in for warranty work. They were super busy however a sales consultant named Richard Hoffman noticed my wife and I discussing our options and asked if we needed any help. He was so knowledgable, friendly and professional that I took his card and will buy all of my appliances from him. I hope his bosses read this. He explained our options, steered us away from a brand he had had horrible experiences with. He even talked me out of buying a more expensive model that had features that he said I would never use judging by how my wife and I had described our needs. He'd been to the brands workshops and knew the product inside and out. Just hands down an awesome experience. It's been a couple of months and this is by far the best dishwasher I have ever owned! I couldn't find the right size of washer to fit the laundry room at Costco, so I went to Trail Appliances Surrey. We have had a good result from several purchases of major kitchen appliances in the past couple of years , so I had no worries about once again going to Trail's Surrey store for some help in solving a problem that appeared with the Fisher-Paykel Fridge we recently acquired with our purchase of a new home . The help I received from the salesman Hemi Upreti could not have been better .Hemi's knowledge of the equipment he sells is excellent and the Fisher-Paykel fridge problem is over . My experience at Trail Appliance has been terrible. I purchased $20,000 worth of appliances from 6750 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC location which included a wall oven (item code E30MC75PPS) that I paid $4,320 for and it came dead on arrival. It has been almost a month and I have not even been able to use it. I called Trail Appliances right away and they told me they would send technicians. The technician said that something is wrong with the motor and they need to replace the motor. This made no sense to me since the wall oven has never been used because I purchased a brand new wall oven so I expect it to be a brand new one. The wall oven should not have any issues before I even use it. I expect a new wall oven entirely and not a wall oven with a replaced motor because that is not what I paid for and spent so much money on. I am completely unsatisfied with the service as no representative from Trail Appliance is giving me any answers nor replying back to me. read more

My experience with the Trail store in Surrey netted me a salesman who seemed only interested in getting away for the weekend and not in providing their much touted "Customer satisfaction is our business. Trail looks after each and every customer one at a time, with total care and attention...that's a promise you can count on." (Trail Website) I purchased a Maytag range with a self cleaning feature on April 18. 2013. After it had been installed and the guys left, I proceeded to turn on the units to check that they were all working and then put the oven on pre-heat to check that out. After reaching the 350 degrees temperature, I turned off the oven and let it cool. What I discovered was that the glass in the oven door was mottled with heat blasting, and was now speckled with green, yellow and bright pink spots. I called the store and was told to call the service department. I called the service department, who did not come to make repairs and replace the door until May 16, just 2 days before a supposed 30-day, in-store parts and labor warranty expired. At that time I was told that this was a common problem with oven doors. Once again the oven was heated up and I now have a bright pink glass on the door. To the point of purchase of this Maytag range, I had been a homeowner for over 40 years, in several provinces from the East coast of Canada to the West. I had never experienced this problem in my previous homes and was not told about it when I made my purchase. Since I had also purchased an extended warranty, I next contacted the head office for the Maytag appliances only to find it is an office of Whirlpool Corporation, which seems to handle issues for multiple appliance companies across Canada. They were no more helpful than Trail. So I am now stuck with a range - afraid to use the oven or engage the self-cleaning mode (research on the internet indicates that this type of mottling can cause the glass to explode) for fear of injuring myself or causing an explosion. I will never deal with Trail appliances or buy a Maytag appliance again, unless I see some of that legendary customer service and this defective appliance is replaced (Maytag has a recall notice out on its dishwashers at this time). Poor sales, poor service and an almost arrogant way of dealing with customers after they've gotten your money. read more
