I had a Bradford White water heater installed by Trailblazer Plumbing in November of 2023 for a cost of $2,149.00. This was a flat rate, and I was not provided an itemized receipt at the time. January 3rd, 2026 we noticed the water heater leaking. It was determined it was a defective unit, and could be replaced under warranty. Trailblazer came out 2 days later, and effected the replacement. No lines were replaced, no piping bent, no new actual plumbing was required. It was literally plug and play with two water lines, and one gas line. The flat rate charge for this straightforward swap operation was $960 in labor alone. Over $300 per hour, with no itemized breakdown provided. When I questioned what seemed like a steep cost for a very straightforward job, I was told both by the technician and the office that $960 was the flat rate for a warranty replacement, regardless of additional work. Three fluid connections and plugging it in. $960. While I understand, and trust, professionals in dealing with water, gas, electricity and the dangers inherent in the installation of these appliances, $960 for a warranty repair was quite high. I will be looking elsewhere for services in the future due to the apparent gross overcharging for a seemingly simple job and the actual work done. read more

GROSSLY OVERCHARGED FOR ACTUAL WORK DONE! I called Trailblazer Plumbing for a few plumbing issues in August 2025 for: 2 separate faucets dripping, a toilet wax ring replacement, a water drip in one ceiling, and a mystery water stain in a different ceiling. I was told by Laura they were sending out one of their "best" plumbers. Upon arrival 8/27/25, "He" was very annoyed and rude about me questioning the shoe covers he'd worn from out in the street, up to my door before even entering my home. He headed back to his truck ranting loudly (all on camera) to get clean shoe covers and returned to my door all irritated. I asked him what the problem was, and he asked me if "I'd gotten up on the wrong side of the bed that morning...???" I said no, did he? He then ultimately backtracked, and asked if we could start over. He did some work on 2 toilets, and a dripping pipe in the ceiling where I had previously cut a clean hole in that ceiling to locate the leak. He then advised me to first contact Moen about getting ALL NEW warranty replacement parts for 3 faucets (Only 2 of which were actually dripping, the kitchen faucet, and 1st vanity faucet. The 2nd vanity faucet was discoloring under warranty), and also a shower Thermostatic Mixing Valve (because I stated that we had never been able to get a cold shower after workouts, and he said without question it needed replacement). I worked with Moen on securing all these parts needed to complete this estimated work order for just under $2000... On 9/3/25 he returned to change out the Shower Thermostatic Mixing Valve, and spent HOURS trying to replace the 3pc kitchen faucet. He ended up putting all old kitchen faucet parts back on the now severely dripping spout and left. (I had to shut off water every day below sink when not in use, because now parts were stripped). I contacted Moen several more times to collect extra needed parts for this job. I've now paid him just under $2300 for this work to be done. On 9/18/25 he returned. Removed all parts to 1st (dripping) bathroom vanity faucet, and did not even replace that faucet. Removed 2nd matching bathroom vanity faucet (which never dripped), and replaced it but not the sink drain, and also scratched the interior of this sink in 2 areas. He left after several hours. On 9/30/25 he was scheduled to return to complete the unfinished work, but they cxld my appt due to delays at his previous job that day. On 10/20/25 he returned to F I N A L L Y replace the 3pc dripping kitchen faucet, and install the missing 3pc vanity faucet onto 1st bathroom vanity, and replace the sink drain on 2nd bathroom vanity (with the scratched sink). I then told him the shower is still unable to get cold water. He said, "well those thermostatic mixing valves are not designed to get a cold shower, only warm/hot shower temps"...??? Then wth did I need to order a totally new part when the previous one was working perfectly as it should??? I then pointed out the scratches in the sink and he shrugged and said that I "should go buy a pumice stone on Amazon to treat the scratches myself...???" When he turned toward me to respond, I could strongly smell alcohol on his breath. He was also very jittery and nervous all day. Since 1st bathroom vanity faucet/sink drain was installed, the drain is too high to hold any water and it just pours down the drain! This final service appt. alone took over 7+ hours. He was constantly on his phone, distracted, or going out to his truck on the street throughout these service calls. On 10/20/25 he wasted SO MUCH time doing heaven knows what, so we pulled the security camera footage to view the excessive trips to his truck. October 20, 2025 Arrived: 11:05am Exit: 12:12pm Enter: 12:49pm Exit: 1:23pm Enter: 1:28pm Exit: 1:45pm Enter: 1:57pm Exit: 2:22pm Enter: 2:32pm Exit: 2:38pm Enter: 2:44pm Exit: 3:02pm Enter: 3:08pm Exit: 3:37pm Enter: 3:44pm Exit: 3:47pm Enter: 4:28pm Exit: 5:28pm Enter: 5:37pm Finally Departed: 5:45pm I was then presented with and charged yet another bill which I was NEVER given ANY notice/estimate of, for the "work completed" on these previous 2 appts... This additional charge was $2705!! My total charges were $4999 - $25 (mailed coupon) = $4974!!! What?!?! I even supplied ALL THE NEW PARTS MYSELF!!! I just wanted him to leave so I reluctantly paid the bill on the spot. The next morning 10/21/25, I called the office to discuss my experience, but Laura said the manager wasn't available to talk to me, and would call me back within a day or two. On 10/30/25, I recd a voicemail from Laura (not the manager) saying they checked with "Him" and the charges seemed accurate, but I could call back if I had any questions... ??? W.O.W. You can decide for yourself what kind of professionalism, quality, service, pricing, etc., seems fair and appropriate here. I would not recommend at all. read more

I will absolutely always vouch for Trailblazer Plumbing! We have used them several times over the last 5 years. First was in 2020 for our water heater, which they seamlessly installed and for a reasonable price. We also had to use them about 3 times over 2022-2023 due to our plumbing issues. Every time we called, they were extremely prompt and quick in coming out to check out the situation. The first time we had called them for our plumbing, they took care of unclogging it and sussed out the real cause behind it. We just weren't able to fund the bigger project behind it. We had to call again 6 months later, which was expected since the problem wasn't fixed but just temporarily dealt with (due to us- not them). That time, we got more information on the issue at hand and they did some more looking into it for us and told us how we will have to approach the project whenever we were ready to do the work and had the finances. 6 months after that, we got to the point where we had to just pull the plug and do the project. We were allowed to do as much of the work to our bathroom as we could/ wanted. My husband did the drywall and flooring to help save on costs. Dan and Josh redid all of our piping, as that was what was causing the issues at hand. It was super easy to schedule the appointments with them for them to come and re pipe and re vent our bathrooms and again to set the sinks and toilets in when we were done with the remodel. They were so helpful and we were shocked at how reasonable the price for such a lengthy project was. The work was high quality and we will always recommend calling Trailblazer! This was the most unprofessional and worst experience in this year. I was told, 2 men would come out and complete the job from 8-12. Once mane came at 8 AM and left at 6PM. There was clutter all over the house nails, screws, garbage, water and dirt spread from the room with the equipment across and large working room and into a large family room. The man based on his judgement & didn't tell me, disconnected the entire communication system in the family room, removed the tile and ruined the sound system. He did not turn on the water to the outside which I did not know. I made several phone calls and was treated like a 3 year old child. Today, I called in to the answering service 3 times in order to get the water turned on & no told me the man would be here next week. A supervisor came in to see the house who had communication skills but did not know anything about follow up. The cost was over $5500. My water is still muddy for this system that is to clear the 4 chemicals causing specific types of cancer. Finally, to top all of this off, the man who was out had an odor beyond words. Consider, cost too much for bad service. Quality, they would not know quality if it hit them in the head and Service, they answer phones. The star would be 1 for dissatisfaction THE COMPANY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND REPAIRED ALL, ALL IS WORKING AND THEY DO CARE. GIVE THEM A STAR OF GREAT FOR FIXING ALL. read more

Last week I had a new water heater installed by Dan M. I requested him because 2 months ago he serviced my water softener also from Trailblazer Plumbing. At that time he said my water heater was going bad but did not try to talk me into buying a new one. Most plumbers would try to say I needed one immediately. I wrote a comment at that time regarding the above. I stated that I wanted Dan M to install my new heater when the time comes. Well, guess what, 2 months later I had no hot water. I called and requested him to come out and install a new one. I don't forget good, honest people like Dan M. People appreciate good customer service and this is a good example of such. The good thing is that they were understanding on the phone . They came out fast and during the schedule time. He did say he could not guarantee the work but could fix it. The biggest problem is the cost. The parts for fixing the shower drain maybe cost $30 and the labor was 30 mins. The cost was $699. When I asked why so much money, he pointed to his brain. Our showerhead started leaking this morning so I called Trailblazer Plumbing to see if they could come look at it. The customer service was great! I received a call from Debbie to let me know that Dan could be at our house between 10am and Noon and he would text me when he was on his way. At 9:45am I received the text with his picture. Dan came in with his protective shoe coverings and accessed the situation, provided two options with quotes. He was able to fix the issue and was done within 35minutes. A horrendously poor plumbing company. I called Trailblazer to address concerns with our toilets. Clogging easily and water coming out between the toilet and the floor. Wax ring failure! Any idiot can see that! Not these idiots! Put a rodding device down the roof vents! Charged me $800 to solve nothing! Toilets still leaking and clogging. I work crazy hours. I know how to do this kind of work. Just tired after work. I pulled the toilets and found wax rings that were distorted and potentially clogging the toilets. They sent another plumber out who threw a temper tantrum and told my elderly mother in law to not call back as he stormed out of the house. Called them and told them what happened. They said that this was one of their best guys. Really? Their best guy yells at an elderly lady? Total lack of professionalism. They can blaze trails all they want. But never to my pishadoo again. I had a gas leak and called Meurer Plumbing Services in a panic. I'm not sure who answered the phone, but she was very efficient and had John come over within the hour. It wasn't an easy fix, the leak was happening behind a Murphy bed. John was careful to keep the wall opening and damage to the murphy bed to a minimum. I highly recommend Meurer Plumbing! read more

I loved this place! I called on a Tuesday because I had finally figured out where all the water under the floor in my powder room was coming from. They had a new hot water tank out to my house and installed by Thursday afternoon! Even with everything going on, they were very professional, showed up in masks, and were very neat. I was searching for a plumber for some time. I got three estimates for the same job but they were all somewhat different. The owner Ted came and explained the project to me in detail including parts that others missed. I was impressed that it is a family run business he built together with his father and now involves his wife and two sons. When it came time to install the water softener (one of three projects they did) the plumber that came explained why he was hooking it up the way he was and not using an existing drain line( installed in 1960's). He placed drop cloths and even swept after he was done. I feel very comfortable recommending this company to family and friends. read more

We were on vacation when we heard that our sump pump needed to be fixed, so my oldest son let Meurer & Sons in our house to give us an estimate. So after receiving the estimate we decided to let them do the work. Tim Meurer was told that we would pay for this when our house sells, he agreed because we had did business with them before. There son came and did the work it took him four hours total, when we were given this estimate they made it seem it was like two days worth of work, it wasn't it was four hours total. They charged us $990.00 for four hours worth of work and one bag of concrete and a few feet of this white plastic pipe. What a rip off. When I ask them to break down the bill so I could see what we paid for materials & labor they refused. Fours hours of work for $990.00, that's like $247.50 per hour, if we would have none it was only going to take four hours we would have gotten a different plumper. Shop around so you don't get ripped off like we did. And it only gets better , on July 27th they called my son and told him he better pay this bill because he was the one that let them in to do the estimate, my son told them that my mother made a agreement with you to pay it when there house sells, Tim Meurer's wife, went on to say that if my son doesn't come and pay it on July 27th, they were going to put a lean on our house, and we wouldn't be able to sell it. Of course before I knew they made this threat to my son, my son went down to there office and paid it. My question is why couldn't Tim Meurer's wife say all this to me, I'm the one that hired them. So before you hire them be prepared for them to Horace your family member for payment. The last email I received from Tim Meurer 's wife states pay it when you can. Then they turn around and Horace my son for payment, this is as low as you can get!!! Hire anybody else, all they are, are scammers!!! read more

I called this company to come out and check out a leaking hot water tank. I explained that we had a finished basement and were concerned about things going bad. I was assured that I would receive a call back from one of the plumbers. One day went by, 2 days went by and I ended up calling them again to ask if I was going to get a call from the plumber. I was assured once again I would be getting a call from the plumber. The day went by and they never called!!! I ended up going with another company who obviously understands the value of customer service. Sad thing is I'm still waiting for that callback. Almost 9 days and no call from them. First time they came out almost 2 years ago I thought I found my forever plumber. They were reasonably priced and very nice. This time they charged me $150 dollars more then the last for the same service. They didn't use the camera this time because we already know the pine tree is the issue. They did however have to remove the toilet because my husband didn't do it prior to their arrival. I called them on the phone to ask why my bill was so high. She said I pay from when the truck leaves their facility until it's returned. Wtf! They don't give you a bill up front or an estimated repair so they can charge you whatever they want.
