Greg answered his phone. Was quick to help me out. His price was very fair and did a good job. Great experience.

I will absolutely always vouch for Trailblazer Plumbing! We have used them several times over the…read morelast 5 years. First was in 2020 for our water heater, which they seamlessly installed and for a reasonable price. We also had to use them about 3 times over 2022-2023 due to our plumbing issues. Every time we called, they were extremely prompt and quick in coming out to check out the situation. The first time we had called them for our plumbing, they took care of unclogging it and sussed out the real cause behind it. We just weren't able to fund the bigger project behind it. We had to call again 6 months later, which was expected since the problem wasn't fixed but just temporarily dealt with (due to us- not them). That time, we got more information on the issue at hand and they did some more looking into it for us and told us how we will have to approach the project whenever we were ready to do the work and had the finances. 6 months after that, we got to the point where we had to just pull the plug and do the project. We were allowed to do as much of the work to our bathroom as we could/ wanted. My husband did the drywall and flooring to help save on costs. Dan and Josh redid all of our piping, as that was what was causing the issues at hand. It was super easy to schedule the appointments with them for them to come and re pipe and re vent our bathrooms and again to set the sinks and toilets in when we were done with the remodel. They were so helpful and we were shocked at how reasonable the price for such a lengthy project was. The work was high quality and we will always recommend calling Trailblazer! Customer service is also a 10/10 from the beginning to end of the process!

I received a call from the city asking about our water use. It apparently was constantly running…read more The suspects were toilets that were running due to bad flapper valve. They test each toilet (as I had done previously) but did not find the problem. Eventually Christian identified the problem was with the water softener and contacted the company with me and arranged for a service call. Great job. No complaints there. He was a professional and his service was appreciated. Then he completed his "pathfinder inspection" and recommended a new sump pump (w/back-up) and ejector pump. Cost: $5162!! I talked to a neighbor who recently (approx. 1 yr. ago) replaced their sump and ejector pump and paid about $3000. I called a couple other plumbers and was given a "ballpark" estimate of $3000-3500 for the same service and they were supplying great equipment (based on my research). He also recommended we replace all of our compression stop valves (8 in total) and install braided hose lines at a cost of $400/ea. Parts cost for stop valves and hose lines are less than $20 each at Menards. $200 in parts and $3000 in labor? If it took 8 hours (unlikely) to change all 8 hook-ups that would work out to about $380/hr. in labor. I know plumbers earn a good wage, and they deserve it, but this is ridiculous. He also quoted me $500 to replace a toilet flush valve! A toilet flush valve is $15-20 max at Menards. I have done that job several times in the past and it took me less than an hour. And I am not that handy. If this isn't price gouging, I don't know what is. I would do all of this work but I am recovering from 2 major surgeries and just can't get down to the valves or lift heavy equipment. So they wanted $9000 to do some really simple work that would have taken a day, at most. I don't have a problem with what they recommended but their charges are ridiculous. I initially gave them a deposit (bad decision on my part) which I asked them to return but they are charging me $100 to refund my own money! And on top of it all, they do not give a veterans discount. All in all, find a different plumber because these guys will rob you blind.

Update 4/22/25 - Unfortunately, I have to update my previous good review. I contacted David to…read moreinform him that when I turn on my outdoor spigot that my carpet gets wet inside my home in the same area that is near the repaired hose bib. When he left my house on 4/4 he stated that he would return if there was any issue relating to the repairs that he personally worked on. Now, when I initially contacted him on 4/16 regarding this ongoing matter, he was very dismissive. I got the impression that he did not want to come back out to inspect the issue. He asked me to look at my water meter below my stairs to see if something was spinning. I have no clue as I'm not a Plumber. I sent a photo. I asked if he wouldn't mind coming back out to see what the issue was. He just responded "ok". I didn't hear back so I followed up with him on today 4/22 and his response is to call back out the contractors that I had cut a hole in my wall for him to fix the repair initially. My insurance was covering the costs of those contractors due to unrelated water damage. So now he wants me to pay for contractors to come back out, cut another hole in my wall, repair drywall and repaint so he can inspect the hose bib that he attempted to repair. As his response was if he came out there's nothing he would be able to see without the hole being cut. I am beyond frustrated. Of course I'm not doing that. So I essentially I paid David a little over $300 for nothing. I still can't use my spigot without water leaking into my home. I now have to say that I do not recommend his services based on my recent experience. I'm rating him 2 stars because he made himself available initially with the quick turnaround. Although, I still have the same issue that he came to repair. And I asked several times if the hose bib that he repaired was the issue (while contractors were still present and the hole was still open) and he assured me that is was and stated that he showed me the pipe with the hole in it. Welp, if it was not sure why I still can't use my spigot and have wet carpet when it's turned on as well as potential risk of water flooding my home again if it were to be turned on for a period of time. Initial review: David was "Johnny-on-the-spot" as they say. I'm very grateful. I contacted him on Yelp on Thursday 4/3 with an extremely tight window for Friday 4/4 to repair a Hose Bib while my contractors were present so they could cut a hole in the wall to allow him to do the repair. With less than a days notice he was able to oblige. He was punctual, fairly priced and made the repair quickly. I highly recommend David's services!

Home Plumbing Services was the only contractor that quoted me a rate up front without a home visit and service call. I reached out to Home Plumbing Services and scheduled an appointment with David. David went beyond expectations and corrected failed fittings on some aging pipes. I would highly recommend Home Plumbing Services to anyone looking for professional services and results.
