Friendly, but feckless advice and failed solutions left me feeling flat-- discouraged enough to consider the cost of going tubeless. Ouch. Time to go local. I found my way to Mile Hi yesterday and wish I'd gone after the first flat. Chris identified an obvious solution and I walked out ready to roll in about 15 minutes. My wallet thanked me. How the other shops (and I) missed this is beyond me. It's not only decades of experience, but concern for doing right by people that impressed me. A simple matter felt like more than just a sale. We purchased Trek bikes in the past from Mike's Bikes, which used to be a Trek dealer, and we…read morebought these e-bikes from Trek in Austin back in 2021, but over time and a move, the bikes really needed a tune-up. My husband's brakes were rubbing and squealing badly, and my bike gears would slip occasionally. We pulled up to Mike's and noticed that they didn't list Trek on the door, so we called and verified that they were no longer a Trek dealer. Because of the ongoing issues that haven't been addressed correctly by other shops, we decided to take the bikes to Trek in Highlands Ranch for their Trek e-bike expertise. (I should add that we have other bikes that aren't Trek, and we will bring those back to Mike's because they've been good to us for over a decade, and they are also very knowledgeable). When we first went into the shop part of the store, we were met by a really nice young guy working the counter. At first we thought he might have been retail, but as soon as he started telling us all about our bikes, educating me about the shocks and even a clutch I didn't know existed, he listened to our concerns and knew exactly what needed to be done. I was blown away. They told us it might take a week or so to get them back, so we were pleased when we got the call this morning to come pick them up after only a couple days. We had taken our bikes to two different shops three different times in Summit County, but the issues were never fully addressed. My husband said he was going to "immediately go on a ten-mile ride in Denver" before we came back up the mountain to ensure that the bikes were fixed, but he had so much confidence in the Trek shop that he decided to forgo a ride and just come back to Silverthorne. He just returned from a ride and said "it feels like a brand new bike!" He asked me if I would write a quick review to compliment the folks at Trek for doing such a GREAT JOB. Thanks so much!

Would not recommend…read more I dropped my bike off 6 weeks ago and knew it was time for the dropper post to be rebuilt which they confirmed. I was told they'd get it rebuilt then contact me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything back and when I reached out yesterday that's the first time they tried to fix it saying they could send it off to be done locally. What were they doing the past 6 weeks?? I can't imagine relying on this place to services bike in riding season with any sense of confidence. While they blamed it on Fox for warranty issues, the first they asked about what year it was to see if it was recall eligible was yesterday, so it clearly was sitting there for 6 weeks collecting dust. Tried to keep business at a small shop, but very disappointed. Picked up my bike and will take my business elsewhere.

I recently got a board wax and my edges sharpened at Denver Bike and Ski Repair. My experience and…read morethe customer service was pleasant, and I got some good extra information on fixing two small chips with epoxy. The wax and sharpening was excellent! My board was flying down the hill the other day, and I could hear the edges really digging in to the snow. They are truly "sharp," and the shop even filled in a couple of dings on the bottom of the board. Given the work quality and price point, you can't go wrong here!
