Move here if you like to pay 2,300 for a small apartment where people let their dogs sh*t everywhere and don't clean it up without any repercussions! Move here if you love a green pool because it doesn't have a proper filtration system! Move here if you love management walking through your home every 3 months to do "walkthroughs" this place has been nothing but a headache since we moved in. I wish I can put a negative one (-1). Last year my relocation company put my family and I in temporary housing at Bridle Creek Apartments. Put aside the dumpsters being located right at your bedroom causing unimaginable stench. Put aside lack of security and the allowance of homeless people dumpster diving all night long disrupting the tenants' sleep. Put aside tenants pets pooping in front of your door entrance and no cleaning happening by the owner not the management office. Put aside the high rent for poor quality apartments with outdated fixtures and appliances as well as upcharging for CORT furniture rentals. The property management office had knowledge of the intent of being a temporary stay (less than 3 months). I paid the deposit and three months rent (August -October 2015) even though I informed the management office in mid-August (2 weeks after moving in) I was bought a house and planned to move out September 30th. I even agree to pay an extra $300 early move-out penalty even though from day one I informed them it was a temporary living at Bridle Creek. By early September, the management office informed me they had found a tenant and the apartment would be occupied in October and in fact I would get back not only my deposit but part of my October rent I prepaid. Aspen Management (owner of Bridle Creek Apartments) poor leadership dismissing the property manager and various employees led to so much havoc and incompetent replacements. When I moved out I asked if everything was settled and fine which was confirmed by the new property manager. To my surprise on November 6, 2015, I received a call from the "Three Stooges" property management office stating I owe for the November rent. ??? Why would I owe anything when everything was settled and in fact there was a tenant? You mean in three months the management office did not find a tenant for that apartment? That does not make any sense!!! Now, I received a collection letter stating I owe Bridle Creek another $433.43. For what? Aspen Management owes me my deposit as well as part of the October rent. If this is not resolve, I am taking legal action against not only Aspen Management but the Property Manager as well for poor business and tenant affairs management. I lived in uninhabitable, unsafe, unhygienic conditions (request clean and free of pest apartment due to child's allergy of spider bites and severe allergies overall) which forced me to find a place in less than 30 days living in that horrible excuse of an apartment for a $1500 a month rent. Disgraceful place and people who work there!!!! read more

I am editing my review after a phone call with Melody that left me quite pleased. After just a day of having a negative review she gave me a call and has turned me around on this place. I will say she is willing to work with you. However, I still feel obligated to tell the few issues I did have while living there: One was that I was not getting my mail. My bank, my friends, and my family have all sent things and it was either marked Return to Sender or I just never received it. Even my check was put into the wrong mailbox and luckily my neighbor left it sticking out of mine stating that they put it in the wrong one! I guess I was lucky enough to have a nice neighbor though that caught the mistake! The other issue I had was that maintenance decided to take out the window screens and never replaced them. After a couple calls though mine were replaced because I was in fear of my dog jumping out our second story apt. (My dog has zero fear and can be handful as you can imagine). Melody had communicated on my call that it was a corporate decision and that the screens had ended up being on back-order and that was the reason for the unfortunate delay. The stores across the street are convenient but attract an unusual crowd. We actually had to call the cops because they set the dumpster on fire behind The Dollar Tree. Oh boy, the excitement of Modesto, but the convenience of Redbox and walking my dog around the lake was nice. Overall, a decent neighborhood and decent people living there. Our one neighbor claimed he lived there for over 15 years and was kind of like a built in security type guy. They do offer short term leases which was the original reason we moved there, out of convenience. read more

I signed a year lease in these apartments in 2012, and boy did I regret it! The apartments themselves are not too bad but the area is fearsome. My roommate and I both women NEVER felt at ease. There were always homeless, hoodlums and what appeared to be drug addicted individuals roaming the premises. As far as management, when I first moved in was ran by Macy, she was wonderful! Kept up with any type of inquiries and dependable. Unfortunately new management was brought in towards the end of my lease lead by Shaena. Shaena lacks professionalism, credibility and ethics. She is incredibly rude, makes promises and statements with no delivery. As soon as my lease came to an end I packed my bags and never looked back. Bottom Line: There are many other apartment complexes in Modesto that offer competitive prices, superb management and a safe environment, keep looking or you will regret it. read more

It's a great place to live! Bridle Creek is a very close knit, clean, quiet and kid friendly environment. They are constantly updating and perfecting the grounds, pool area, and gym room. I have lived at Bridle Creek for almost two years and will be moving out soon. I have had minimal issues living here . I however have to say the apartment management has been inconsistent with lots of turn over. They have seemed to have gotten that under control with Melanie. I am only moving due an increase in the rent which made more sense for me to rent a 3 bedroom house for the amount they will be charging me for a 2 brm 2 bath apartment. They also were not willing to do a 6 month renewal. You can only do a year also not fair. Overall Bridle Creek is not a bad place to live. I would stay but it seems as though they do not want to retain their current tenants .It seems that they care more about the money they can charge because of the market going up.Not fair but I understand it is a business. Smaller complex (I think 96 units) where most of the people are friendly and live to chat. Nice little gym and pool area. They've recently started making some improvements to the complex. New windows and slider doors, new paneling and paint on the outside, and the repainted all the curbs and parking lines too. I know they plan on doing more soon too. I the front office is Sadie who's usually there late, so even if you work all day you'll have time to talk to her if you need to. She's the best thing about the place. Answers all your questions and helps out with whatever you need no matter how small it is. She doesn't ever make you feel like you are bothering her or as if she doesn't want to help you out which is rare to find nowadays. It's like having a buddy that's also your property manager. Maintenance is handled by John and he's great too. He goes above and beyond on making sure everything is running good on the complex and both him and Sadie make it feel like it's just one big family at the complex. I moved into a one bedroom in March of 2015 when Melanie was the apt manager. She was awesome! I had absolutely no problems back then. Around the time that I transferred into a two bedroom around December 2015 management went down the dumps. I have now been living in my two bedroom for 5 months and have had nothing but problems. Management has changed over 5 times, & because of that the new managers are trying to "trace their tracks" and are now charging me pet rent on a companion dog with a doctors note until I get ANOTHER doctors note and then that has to be approved. Ridiculous! Not to mention I fear for my safety if I come home at night or walk my dog after dark. I've had neighbors that hang out in cars, they dogs off leashes and they have "friends" that are clearly druggies coming in and out all hours of the day and night. I contacted the office about the dogs more than 10 times and nothing ever happened. Security is terrible. I see a security guard about 1 time a week, and even witnessed a homeless person walking through the apartments and the security didn't stop them at all! They sit at the front of the driveway in their car on their phones!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would but since I have to give at least one star, the one thing I can say is good is the maintence. The guys are all really nice and come quickly to fix whatever is wrong. our water heater went out and we had a new one less than an hour later. The apartments are beautiful but the insides are cheaply done. They are updating the external things and also adding some kind of tiki bar to the pool. We lived at Bridle Creek Apartments for 12 years . We had no complaints until they asked us to move out due to renovation of all apartments. Then we got our end of lease statement, I was in disbelief ! What they tried to charge us for was a joke!!! Carpet, appliances , all things that they were replacing due to upgrading of all apartments. So unlike 99% of the people , we took them to court, AND WON , what they had done to us is highly illegal, and Denis Petrov or should I say Mr Big Mouth didn't even show up to court, he was the one making all the threats and called me stupid and a liar , and said I would be paying all the court fees and for his Lawyers, etc....... All I have to say to him is ....Whose paying now mr big man.....??? Oh sometimes justice feels to good for words. Please anyone who has been screwed by this company take them to court!! What they do is throw there weight around and screwing their own tenants over, just because they think they can!!! Well I just proved that they can't ...I guess now the question is this company is more then willing to take money ... Will they be willing to pay the money they owe us? I guess only time will tell. They owe us 750.00 , which isn't much, but it's the principle they also turned us over to collections illegally!!! But soon that will also be fixed ..... Sorry Bridle Creek you can't screw us all. Maybe next time you will think before screwing your own tenants. And we can only hope that Denis can learn to stick his foot in his mouth before he speaks. I lived in the Bridle Creek apartments with my wife and children for six months. In that short time both of my cars were vandalized. One car had the license plates stolen and the other car was broken into and stolen in broad daylight . Also someone was shot less than ten feet from our bedroom window. Management and maintenance staff changes frequently so we found it difficult to get help. We were told there is security but we only saw them once in six months and they quickly sped through the complex and left .For some reason unknown to the tenants the screens were removed from the majority of our windows and not replaced for more than three months, till this day 4/28/2015 I still have not seen them . The apartments look appealing from the outside but there are many transients who gather in and around the complex . Most of them scavenging through the trash daily . On two occasions our mail has been lost or stolen . On multiple occasions I have brought issues to the attention of the management staff and received no help. When my car was stolen I wanted to know if there were cameras on the property . The lady in the office was nice I left her my contact info and never heard anything back. We decided not to renew our lease because we did not feel safe in the apartments. After we moved out we were informed that we would have to pay over 1400 for new carpet and paint . It's very unfortunate that a rental company would take advantage of tenants this way. I would recommend anyone looking to move into Bridle Creek Apartments to look further. The only pro is being close to a shopping center but there is only one entrance/exit on Floyd ave. for the whole complex which gets really congested. I was hesitant to write a review but I don't want anyone else to experience what we did while living there. read more
