The food was plentiful, delicious, hot and served on a heated plate. Service was perfect (Mariah) did a Great job for being the only server!! By the time I left there were 20-30 customers. Would recommend for breakfast while traveling. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. read more

I was appalled at the service we received. Not only did it take them 10 min to even acknowledge that we were there, when she finally did she was extremely rude. She asked if we wanted coffee, we said yes please and as she walked away she shook her head and her and the cook started talking about us. Great breakfast stop after an overnight road trip and waiting to check in early at the Wallace Inn. Friendly service, great selection of breakfast entrees, and bountiful portions. We had half order of biscuits&gravy, side of sausage, pancake, chicken fried steak, and cornbeef hash. All delicious!! read more

Absolutely the rudest restaurant I have been to. We are from out of state looking for a nice place for a Father's day breakfast. My husband , my two boys and myself walked in there were two female waitresses by the register and neither bothered to assist us or even acknowledge our presence. We stood there for 5 minutes and still nothing. There were only 3 tables with customers so it wasn't as though it was crazy busy, in which I would completely understand. I have worked customer servics for many years and have NEVER had such crummy service. I advise anyone to don't bother waisting time or money at ths Wallace hotel Trailside restaurant. read more

Management needs to do better work with staffing. Two servers when I arrived with 8 tables filled. One servers leaves. That means one left to do coffee, order, extras,food delivery and cashier duty. She's doing the best she can under the circumstances. read more

Food is cheap but eatable. Service on the other hand, sloooow. It took us almost an hour to get our order, and our friends waited an hour+ and left without receiving what they ordered. Most people in the restaurant were discontented with the service. Will not be coming back. read more

When we walked in we stood there for 5 minutes with No One there to help or greet us (with customers seated at tables). While waiting for our order someone in the back was being very verbal about their distaste for working at the establishment cussing and holler-in more than once. Good service. Good food. Typical diner fare. Mariah (?) was friendly and helpful. Card reader was down so it was cash or put it on the hotel bill. It's interesting to me that where ever you go in the country, the breakfast sausage is a little bit different. It was good, don't get me wrong...just a little different. We stopped over at the attached hotel for the night. Next morning we decided to give the restaurant a try. We sat down and placed our order, food comes I go to take a sip of my water and see a LIVE earwig swimming in my glass. I thought my poor husband was going to throw up on the table. Summoning the waitress over she looks at the glass of water and instead of a profuse apology her attitude assured me this is probably not the first time this has happened. She takes the water back and brings me another glass, as if I am really going to want to drink more water from this establishment. Just awful! read more

It is a modest cafe but the food was really well done and delicious. Would have breakfast here again if was staying longer in town.

2nd time giving this one a shot. Food isn't terrible but the service needs some work. We came into the place to find one other table full of customers, 3 dirty tables needing cleaned and not a staff member to be found. We chose a seemingly clean table and waited a good 15 minutes before the waitress finally came out of the back room. She was nice enough but forgot the tea I ordered. This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had in my 55 years of living. We stayed at the Wallace Inn with daughters and the grandchildren to go skiing. Went down for breakfast. Waitresses were unfriendly, impatient and rude. We had to ask to place our order after sitting there for 25 minutes. She came up with coffee and I asked for decaf. She angrily turned and as she walked away said "I don't know if we even have any". She never came back to inform me if she had some or not. I never received any coffee nor asked if I wanted anything else. We seriously were afraid to ask for anything. Both of the waitresses were slamming things around and acting totally put out about everything. We had ordered two little depots and did not receive the pancakes which are part of that dish. We argued over who would tell the waitress that we hadn't received everything for fear of her reaction. Food wasn't very good either. It was almost surreal at how awkward the whole breakfast was.
