While the ability to get multiple quotes is great - responsiveness is lacking. It takes days and weeks to get responses to simple questions and actions via email. It is impossible to call and get hold of the agent they have assigned. And you start with one agent and they bounce you to another agent. read more

Avoid that business, it has become obsolete. House and cars insurance went up significantly. So, it is now very hard for Trailstone to really save you on your insurance needs. Trailstone seems to favor Auto Owners (which has very bad customer support). I have searched for insurance on my own and beat Trailstone twice (And yes for the exact same insurance coverage for both cars and house). So, I no longer use them and no longer pay for their overhead. I explicitly notified Trailstone Insurances that I was not renewing my insurance, house and cars, before the current Auto Owners insurances needed to be renewed (I received confirmation from Trailstone that they got my cancellation request). Trailstone failed to cancel my insurance with Auto Owners (I received a request from Auto Owners to pay for renewal). I got high pressure from Trailstone to sign a Docsign. It was obvious that Auto Owners would require some fees to be paid for late cancellation. Trailstone was trying to make me liable for those fees by signing this Docsign. (I really thought that Ryan Black was taking me for an idiot trying to explain me how to sign a Docsign.... Who doesn't; Chris Barry continuously failed to answer my questions). Trailstone even tried to get my wife to sign the Docsign. It really shows how desperate and dishonest Trailstone is. Chris Barry finally cancelled my Auto Owners insurance (It was about time). What kind of business fails to execute customer requests? Trailstone failed to cancel my policy in a timely manner even being notified before expiration of existing policies. Just stay away from that business. read more

I have been with them for years however, it has been very up and down as to the quality of service. I literally cancelled my insurance last week and signed all of the documents - but was still billed today. I reached out to my liaison but have not heard back at all. It's very disappointing and I feel very abandoned by them - that was the main reason I was cancelling - that and it was truly too expensive. A few years ago my car was vandalized in a HIT and RUN and I felt like NO ONE was working for me in trying to get that taken care of. I literally had to do all of the ground work and was never offered additional help. I was able to get the same coverage for $69 less each month else where. I emailed my Trailstone agent on 11/12/25 to cancel my auto insurance policy renewal with Allstate because I had found a premium approximately $450 cheaper per a six month policy than any premium they had found me for exactly the same coverage. They confirmed via email that they would cancel my premium with an effective date of 11/14/25. They sent me cancellation forms for an esignature on 11/13/25 that I promptly completed on 11/13/25. On 11/18/25 Allstate pulled $1002.70 out of my checking account for the premium which was supposed to be cancelled as of 11/14/25. Today I got an apology from said agent who admitted fault in not following through on her end to process the cancellation which she finally did today. However Allstate will not refund my premium for 7-10 days. I said how unacceptable this is and emailed the group again for assistance in getting my refund processed as soon as possible as I have other bills to pay with my money that was basically stolen from my checking account due to their incompetence. They have not responded to my email or offered to help me in obtaining my refund from Allstate in a timely manner. This is absolute negligence on top of incompetence. Please know that if you choose to work with this agency, do everything you are supposed to do you and are asked to do you could still end up out a significant amount of money for 7-10 days or however long the insurance company decides they need to process your refund. Additionally have spent two-three hours of my life that I won't get back or be compensated for with multiple calls to Allstate. Beware! read more

Becky is hands on and always available when I need to reach her in all matters. very professional, knowledgeable and extremely efficient and super great at her job. I have been so happy with my SERVICE at Trailstone. They shop my insurance coverage every year and give me a recommendation to stay or change carriers - and it isn't always based on price since I think they actually care that we have adequate coverage. But it is always nice to save money. :-) As brokers they have lots of different options. Like I said in the first sentence - it is the service that I like. You can go on a website and get insurance quotes yourself these days - but the agents here are friendly, available and willing to answer questions. read more

Sometimes even when you know something is coming up and needs your attention, life gets in the way. This happened to me when our auto insurance reached its renewal date. We wanted to check around and ensure we were getting the best rate. My Mom went to a different agent and had a wonderful experience. We went in with her information, the agent put it all in her computer and had quotes from several carriers immediately. I called Trailstone to see if they were able to do this for me. Ryan assured me that they could indeed provide me with instant quotes. I apologized for the rush--our insurance needed to be renewed by Midnight the following night, and I needed to show Mr. H. the quotes that night when he came home from work so we could make a decision and get it in place the next day. Ryan proceeded to talk me out of going to the office, despite my insistence that I thought it would be easier. Sure enough, I had to wade through our coverage summary to dig up all the information he asked for, and spent over a half hour on the phone feeling rather frustrated. There were several instances of trying to upsell me, which wasn't unexpected. When Mom got her quotes, the agent was very gentle and informative with her suggestions for increased options. Ryan was just plain pushy. The "best" part was when he told me their agency wouldn't even write a policy unless uninsured/underinsured motorist was added. I just don't feel it's ethical to add something above the state requirement as a guaranteed way to increase their commission. Here's the kicker--we finally got through everything and he said he would send the information off to his Underwriters, which would take 6-8 hours!!! I initiated the call at 2:45 PM, so obviously that meant the next day. I was so in shock that he completely ignored my query about getting a quote right away that I just sat there numbly while he said to watch for an e-mail and that he'd be calling me back. We never did get that e-mail or call. I still feel violated, providing all that personal information for nothing. I have no idea why they didn't want our business, and I recommend steering clear of Trailstone Insurance Group. read more

I have been listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio for the last month or two. Recently, he mentioned the importance of using an Independent Insurance Agent over a big name firm...such as Allstate, etc. I went to Dave's website and one of the agents he recommended in the Denver area is Michael Wright. I called him to receive quotes from him on my auto and home insurance policies. He was extremely thorough and asked me many questions to offer as many discounts as possible. He was able to look at 25 insurance companies to find the best rate for me. This company started out good with Jeremy Myles, but once his wife Sara took over it went down hill. My renewal got changed on home owners from 12mon pay to yearly. After having a discussion with Sara, I advised her to cancel the home owners. I then got a thank you letter fron her on 10/26/19 telling me if I need anything let her know, just to find out today that she canceled my car insurance too on 10/28/19. Needed a new agent because my current agent didn't want to lift a finger to write me a policy to add my new trailer onto my auto policy. I was stuck in a limbo unable to register my new trailer. After continuous research for a new agent, I started to feel discouraged on finding a new agent that can provide me adequate customer service. Fortunately, through my insurance company's website, I stumbled upon Trailstone Insurance Group. Provided the receptionist my information and she told me an agent will call me back. And they did! The next day Shannon Riley called me. After informing Shannon of my situation, she quickly took matters into her own hands to assist me. Technically, my policy was still under my old agent, so she had to jump through hoops to get in touch with the insurance company. At the end, I was finally able to insure my trailer. We found Trailstone through Dave Ramsey's locally endorsed provider. We worked with Michael Wright on getting quotes for auto and home insurance. He got right on top of it and was very quick in responding to us. He also explained the coverage very well so that made me feel reassured that we are making the right decision. At the end, we ended up not bundling our auto and home policy because our auto policy countered with a much better rate. He didn't try to upsell or push us one way or another which I really appreciated. However, he still saved us on our home insurance policy and increased our coverage.
