Giving a shout out to all the amazing Pilates Instructors at LA Fitness: Angela, Danae, Mia,…read moreChelsea, Fatma & Irene. I haven't taken classes with the weekday mornings' instructors but I'm sure they are really good too! They teach classes where students are at different fitness levels and attitudes too lol. The instructors do an amazing job of correcting your form, providing modifications (always ask if something starts to hurt), and they also push you harder, especially if they have seen you in previous classes. My twin sister was in town and joined me last minute to a class with Angela! She's amazing, tough and nice enough to take a picture with us! My twin loved the class so much that she's looking into joining her local LA Fitness. My favorite part is the stretching leg circles & frog with the ropes at the end of class. I definitely come to class for "me" time and to shut the noise of work and the world.

Their isnt a lunchtime class or afternoon on weekends. So I have to go to 4s Ranch location. The sales pitch is a 1 star. I already knew I was going to come here. I just wanted them to work with me, instead they ended up making me rethink it. I almost said forget it. Their was a lot of "I have $20 voucher but I'm waiting to give to the next person if you dont claim it in an hour" then the next call was, "if you go somewhere else, its just going to cost you $300, so you might as well sign up now" I really dont like BS sales pitches, especially if im telling you I want to join just work with me. Luckily, a sales rep from another location signed me up no problem. The facility is clean, has lots of options and have had no issue since.

This is the trainer. I would not recommend taking a class with him as he instructs the same way he acts: poorly.

I can say that the impact this man had in my life has been significant to my overall success and growth as a person. Anytime I think of fitness this man comes to mind. He knows his stuff and more. He knows alternate exercises and variations for those injured or with some sort of issue. I haven't always looked or felt better than after a workout with Chris (Owner), I have tried many other gyms, but there's a reason I at times opt to just take a rest day than to workout with someone else. He knows his stuff and promotes a good atmosphere, if in doubt try him out and experience the difference. I have a 300 lb. pic, I went all the way down to 165 lb at some point and now I'm in between 175 lb and 180 lb. My goals have shifted from weight loss, to muscle, to more lean and whatever life allows me to shoot for, however Chris knows how to get me out of any plateaus I get into. Anytime I recommend someone, it's him

He keeps the class sizes small enough to ensure attention to all his clients, teaching proper form all while creating a super fun, high energy workout environment. Chris also tailors one on one sessions to meet specific needs, helping me recover from ACL reconstruction without risk of further injury. His facility is super clean, with top notch equipment. He also offers a variety of class times to accommodate work schedules.

I am glad that my company offers this gym as perk and people from various companies in the same campus can attend this gym as well as the one in Torrey Pines (called Exos Torreyana) and another close to the big Qualcomm and a brewery Karl Strauss (go figure, first zumba, next drinking, what a combo:). Anyways, going back to Exos Campus Point, I love all the classes, I have been going for the past couple of months and have tried many. I like the boxing and also the yin yoga, super mellow and ending with the music coming from those magical bowls. Outdoor yoga is also so refreshing and they make every activity look easy and fun. You can also complete challenges, by doing extra activities and punching a card. After 5 activities you get a shirt. Activities can be from hiking, to cleaning beaches to something different from the day to day activities. Best corporate fitness center ever.

Beyond his expertise, he is a very positive, sunny, and fun person to work with. He has a natural martial arts spirit and great energy that makes every session motivating and enjoyable. Greg always trains with steadiness, safety, and truly personalized lessons. When I started, I was very burned out from work and life, and I wasn't able to exercise much or take good care of myself. His gym has become my "charging station"--I always feel refreshed, energized, and uplifted after each session. I truly feel my mind and body moving in the right direction. I work closely with rehabilitation doctors and therapists, and having experienced many professionals, I can confidently say Greg's knowledge and experience are top-notch and above. He is incredibly caring, kind, and attentive. I strongly recommend Greg to anyone who wants serious, high-quality fitness training. Make the commitment--you will see real change.

I've trained with Anatoliy and met Stan there as well -- these guys are genuine and knowledgeable. I am the type that needs to be challenged, else be bored with the workout; Anatoliy provided that challenge. They have tons of equipment, heavy and speed bags, and UFC on the TV's -- an environment that does inspire me to get stronger. In addition, they have yoga classes on Wednesday nights, spin and yoga on Mondays, and jiu-jitsu classes. Their two-level facility features a yoga/jiu-jitsu room on the second floor, a spin room on the first floor, and am ample, weight-training space in the back on the first floor. Located close to the Sorrento Valley hub of business activity, it's a great place to get a lunch-time or evening workout. I recommend TNB to both those beginning to train, those looking for an overall balance of cardio and strength, as well as experienced levels/competitors. If beer is your thing, they are located across from Green Flash Brewing Company, so you can get that workout in first to balance things out.

Got charged $15 three days later. Called in today 6/25 and talked to the GM. I believe her name was Crystal. Crystal said there was nothing she could do because Stormy never wrote it down. So their mistake becomes my problem? And the note of someone who didn't follow through on her word yields more weight than me telling the 100% truth. What!?!?! Crystal said that she's going to talk to Stormy during her next shift this Saturday. She said she'd have Stormy call me. When I asked her if she knew my name and had my mobile no, she said no. She was gonna hang up without ever getting it. There's also a guy with long dark hair at the front isn't helpful who just stares- very creepy It's only $15. But I was lied to, dismissed, and made to feel like I was the problem. A manager made a promise, didn't keep it, and leadership covered for it. That's a culture issue.

Overview: Nice, large facility, tope rope and bouldering, corporate atmosphere…read more ---- Mesa Rim is one of the bigger climbing gyms in San Diego, offering both top roping and bouldering. They also have another location in Mission Valley. The front desk staff were polite and efficient, but the interactions felt a bit corporate rather than a genuinely warm welcome. Sign the waiver before you arrive to make things go faster! ---- There's a LOT of amenities here for climbing, fitness, and yoga. They even have a ping pong table and sauna! I really love their website where you can take a virtual tour of their gym, allows you to see the layout of their massive gym. - Strength training area near the front entrance has all the equipment that you'd expect from a full gym including both free weights and cable machines - The cardio area upstairs has treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machine - Ping Pong table located upstairs near the cardio area! ---- There are several different bouldering sections with a variety of routes. When it's busy, the cave bouldering section can be a bit crowded because of their small seating area there. The other sections seem to have enough space though. I would not reccomend this gym for beginners or first time climbers, a lot of the beginner routes are discouraging for true beginners. I came with some friends who were somewhat familiar to climbing and they were saying that the V0s are a bit tough to do. Besides the V0s, the grading is on par with Grotto. I haven't top roped here so I can't speak on that but the area seems to be quite large as well. ---- Something I really appreciate is that they offer free entry days and rentals for anyone a couple of times a year! - API celebration in May - Pride celebration in June Keep an eye out for these days on their upcoming events or their social media if you want to try out this gym or if you want to bring your friends for free! Day passes are $31 and monthly memberships are $110 (+ $100 intimation fee). They have other rates on their website for prepaid options and punch passes. A little thing that I also really like is that they have a suggestion box if you have anything you want to say. ---- Overall: Huge gym, amazing facilities and amenities, nice staff but didn't feel genuinely welcoming, look for the free entry and rental days to try this gym out

This is one of the bigger climbing gyms in San Diego with tons of wall space for both top rope and bouldering. First timer or seasonal climber, you'll fit right in. The staff are awesome - helpful, motivating, and great at walking you through the basics. We opted for belaying lessons and I recommend that for first-timers! The front desk was polite and efficient but may be a bit corporate than warm. Tip: sign the waiver before you arrive. The gym is clean, routes are reset often, and there's a slab wall full gym, sauna plus a small shop with gear and snacks. They also have a Mission Valley location closer to my work! Tempted to check that one out! Overall: 4 stars - solid climbing, great workouts, even yoga, and good vibes. I'd recommend a membership if you really want to commit. They have several options on their website. HSA/FSA eligible too! Great for a group event and birthday outing in my opinion! Just be ready to get humbled (and sore).
