The entrance is easy to miss on Robin Hood Road across from the Diamond (I've never seen the Boulevard entrance open as the gates are always closed). There are several recycling receptacles but they tend to fill up pretty quickly; however, I've always been able to squeeze in my weekly pile-up. This is a convenient self-service for apartment dwellers, especially since it's open seven days per week from 7am to dusk. They do close the gate after that time.

However, my trash has consistently not been picked up on time. We had to make multiple calls, and the excuse was always that the driver claimed the can wasn't out, which was incorrect every time. Today, February 20, 2025, I canceled my service because this is the third week my trash hasn't been picked up, with the driver giving the same excuse. Now, they added that due to bad weather, some routes were canceled, and my trash won't be picked up until next week, making it four weeks. Despite being on time with my payments, the company's excuses and unprofessionalism are unacceptable. I canceled immediately after this situation and told the customer service manager they need to investigate their driver because he blatantly lied and never came to my address on all the occasions I called. I am extremely upset.

If you have copper or aluminum, this is the place to go, but I will say that if you have a lot of steel or cast iron, you should probably go somewhere else, because I don't think that they pay as much for these items as some of the other yards. That's my opinion, but you can always call around first to see who has the best price. At any rate, it's a good family owned business that I would recommend.

We were no exception! We rummaged through our house and got rid of a lots of unnecessary items. I won't "waste" your time with all the stuff we dumped... but we were pleased that when we got there, there was no line! Some of my friends told me they waited 1 1/2 hours! We drove right through! We weren't charged either so it was a flawless experience! Well, enough "trash" talk!
