I had tried another lifting trainer nearby who just didn't work out, when I came to Camie to try working out with her. She's been wonderful for my physical and mental health ever since! She not only helped me with my goal of losing weight (40lb+ down and still losing), but also helped me with my nutrition and my last year's cardio goals as well of running my first marathon this past month. She does such a great job of always making sure to train her clients safely but also always continuing to push us well! Everyone comes to her with different goals, and she works individually with each of us on our personal goals.

We all have different goals (add muscle mass, lose weight, improve conditioning, etc), but to get results sometimes you just need someone else to lay it out for you and hold you accountable. I'm currently maintaining the most muscle mass in my life with noticeable improvements in strength, while the wifey has slimmed down a ton while adding muscle as well. We're all human and have flaws (cheat days) which she understands, but she'll hold you accountable for your poor diet and is always suggesting nutrition improvements. The workout space is in a building suite, with all the weights, machines, training equipment, etc. This isn't a typical gym; there are no cardio treadmills/ ellipticals/ bikes, but you can get the same effect with what she has you do (what trainer wants to watch you do cardio anyways?). The workouts are kept challenging and tailored to your end goal, as she pushes you to the max. She trains all age ranges from teens to seniors, individuals and small groups as well. Camie will be challenging, but at the same time everybody grows close (you can talk about anything and everything) as everyone operates on similar work out schedules. Definitely recommend her, and her loyal clients would probably agree as well.

They were SO friendly, SO informative and SO helpful, I learned so much it's scary. These athletes were also incredibly inspirational to me, a total novice, and I spoke to them at leangth after class. Fast forward a few months and I decided to get a swim coach for one session (I figured I had better try out swimming in open water at least once before the triathlon I had registered for!). My coach was Kainoa, and she was SO patient with me, helping me with donning the wetsuit (no easy feat!), helping to teach me new swim strokes, lending me her equipment (in my haste to get there, I had forgotten "stuff"), giving me a ton of swimming tips, letting me pick her brains about many pesky tri questions I had, etc. She was very encouraging and supportive, and I really appreciated her faith in me (when my own, in myelf, was sorely wavering as each wave hit). I'm thinking, if you need a tri coach, definately for the swimming or running events (probably for the biking, too), this is definately an A-one place, regardless of what level you're at.

We initially connected because of…read moremy goal of preparing to run a Spartan Sprint Race, which to those who don't know it is a 5 mile adventure race with over 20 serious obstacles and lots of mud. The thought of running one just freaked me out because I mostly sit on my butt while working and I enjoy of the culinary delights around Seattle. What I got out of working with Aina was not only a more fit bod, greater stamina and a confidence that helped me not only finish the Spartan Race but also to get back into adult gymnastics. One thing you'll notice immediately is her endless energy, stellar attitude and gentle accountability. By the way, I have a recurring lower back issue and her workouts were always sensitive to it so I could still work out and go on about my life without issue. Loved that! Make sure to ask about her nutritional education and coaching too...I recommend her to everyone I know who want to get fit and in shape, she's so awesome!

She is upbeat, encouraging, and incredibly motivational--my classes with her were always the most intense workouts of my week and were an excellent hard-core lead-in to the weekend. While she is tough ("no excuses"), she provided the coaching I needed to push myself 100% to end up a satisfyingly sore, sweaty, happy mess by the end of the hour. She was my favorite instructor and I miss her terribly since she left SEF to teach for FlyWheel.

Been training with Tony at Iron Works Gym for about a year now. Unfortunately my metabolism has…read moreslowed down as I got older and the lifestyle of these 80 hour work weeks has taken a toll. It's a vicious cycle of being too tired to work out and getting to the point where it was surprisingly cheaper to dine out at restaurants than to put in the energy and time to grocery shop and cook. But taking the easier route will always have a cost in the long run and I knew something had to change if I still want to be hot when I'm 69 years old. I really don't enjoy working out at all, it's painful, but having a personal trainer holds me accountable to show up to my appointments plus it's just nice to get help from a professional. You can tell Tony is very passionate about what he does and cares about his clients. It's also convenient for me not to have to recruit homies for the group sessions, he does all the logistical work to pair up with others that are in a similar stats as you. I'm probably not the best for visual results as I just went from objectively skinny to still skinny, but I am stronger compare to when I first started where I was crippling doing any sort of exercise with no weights at all to now. My meal portions are more in control without feeling like I had to give up everything and start eating like a squirrel, just no more regular boba tea runs. What's more important is that I truly believe that exercise contributes to stronger mental health and I recommend everybody to do some form of exercise even if you're not overweight at all. I vowed…read moreto work for a year to get in "the best shape of my life", a friend of mine (and also a client) recommended Tony, and I thought, "why not". So it's been 10 months, and through his guidance I've lost 20lbs, and have packed on muscle. I "see" Tony virtually with his distance program, and he reliably sends me eating plans and workout plans. We have twice a week checkins, and I can always text him with questions. Recently I went in to his gym to meet up with him, and he's very friendly, this has been a grade A experience, and I'm really glad I've done it. Let's see what we can do in the next two months!

She uses a very unique approach to an evaluation and treatment that includes clinical pilates exercises using equipment, which is a highly effective method that targets your entire body, and not just the injured body part. Laura is a fantastic doula and I would recommend her to anyone.  Her knowledge and experience as a…read moredoula prior to and during the birth of my son far surpassed all of my expectations.  I had a wonderful birth experience, and I owe much of that to the support I received from Laura. Leading up to the the birth, she maintained excellent communication and provided quick support for all of my questions and concerns.  Luckily I went into labor on December 26, but Laura was available and ready at a moment's notice to join me at the birth, even on Christmas day. Laura even helped me with prenatal exercises by sharing her own fitness videos to help me target the areas of concern I had, especially towards the end of pregnancy.   Luckliy my baby was head down towards the end of the pregnancy, but I still felt additional security in Laura's experience with Spinning Babies. If I am lucky enough to have another child, I would choose Laura as my doula again in a heartbeat.

A few months after giving birth to my second baby, I started a HIT workout program geared towards moms, but quickly realized that it might be too much too soon. Then I met Laura. She told me about diastasis recti (why had I never heard of this despite having now given birth twice?!). She came to my house, showed me how to self-diagnose, explained the mechanics and the need to treat is properly before jumping into more traditional workouts, and then created a personalized breathing and exercise regimen. She's passionate about what she does and that really shows in the care and time she gave to me as a client. I highly recommend!

After a 60 minute orientation session she put together a plan that worked for me. She developed workouts and came to my home and helped me with them so I felt comfortable to use them at home, she took me through the grocery store and gave me ways to redo my shopping that would better help my goals, she sent me emails with tips and recipes, and was such a great support to me. Even though she was much younger that me, I felt so at ease with her and looked forward to our sessions. I still use what I took from our sessions together.
