At points in my life I have collected comic books, other comic book related items, movie related merchandise, and diecast. This place has all that and more...! Shop smart and take your cell phone to stare and compare. I found a few items reasonably priced, but I found quite a few more that were well above what they could be purchased for online including shipping. One thing about collectibles though... Sometimes it's worth a few dollars more to have it in your hands. I've been surprised a few times when I received items that weren't as described or packaging was damaged in transit. Antiques and collectibles are a different market as a buyer... If you see something you want it's better to buy it right then if it's priced within reason. You may never find that same item again... Old Market is what Old Market is... It's geared to tourists and things are often a little high priced in areas like this. So is their rent usually... These areas attract a high volume of people and if you don't want to pay the marked price...someone who comes in right behind you just might. Some of the items here are a little dusty, but I guess that's to be expected with that many surfaces. Pretty hard to stay on top of all of it... The Imaginarium Old Market Mercantile is defintely worth the stop if you are into collectibles and/or nostalgia!

It was frustrating to see a box of supplies under the table and be turned away. I suggest that if the craft session fills up a sign can be posted by the craft tables and the cashiers saying the class is full. It would save people from waiting on a long line only to be told the class is full. Heading over to Mangelsen's to find a craft to do.

All of these were very adorable. The cashier that night was a very nice man who used to be a photographer. They have a few items on Nebraska. I was chasing Nebraska Passport stops and decided to buy a gift for my grandson while checking in with my Passport. It's an amazing store filled with unusual and affordable toys for all ages. The person who stamped my Passport took me around the shop showing me sensory toys(a big thing right now) building toys and of course books. I picked a book because it's easy to take in a suitcase when I go visit. That was just a sample. When you bring your kids in, they can play with a number of toys set up for "try before you buy". This was a win-win all around because as a Nebraska Passport holder, I got to play Plinko and won a nice gift card. I highly recommend this store.

I was surprised to get a call that same afternoon to let me know when the toy was due in stock, and that I would have it well in advance of my kiddos hospital day. The gal working was super helpful and very sweet. The space itself is a cute renovated older building that still maintains some of the original charm. I found everything to be very clean and organized in a fun way. I would say that they have items that would suit someone from birth to mid-elementary age. They have a lot of infant and smaller toddler clothes but not a huge selection for bigger kids. They are an authorized Jellycat retailer, which is great for those on the hunt! Their items are priced on the higher end for gifting but they carry some really great brands that are made to last (think heirloom quality). We ended up leaving with a Jellycat Kangaroo, some spiral hair bands, a beaded coin purse, and a hand painted container for a lost tooth! They will even wrap your gifts for free!

The nice lady working even handed her the heart to throw into the toy herself! We were able to get a beautiful bunny, a strawberry pajama set, and a snoring sound (which my daughter thinks is so hilarious) for only $40! Very affordable and a very cute place for memories!

Barbara made my 5yr old's birthday the best day ever! We went there looking for a certain animal…read morethat my daughter had picked out a couple of months ago. She had been asking for it for her birthday since the day she saw it. We walked in and didn't see it anywhere. My daughter was crushed. Barbara could tell that my daughter had her heart set on this particular animal and immediately went on a mission. She left the store a couple of times and came back with THE animal. It was already stuffed and dressed and on a pedestal (I'm guessing it was one of the display animals when they had them in stock). She quickly rushed to the back room without my daughter noticing and undressed and unstuffed it. She came back out moments later to show my daughter that she had found one. My daughter's face lit up and her birthday wish came true. Thank you so so much, Barbara. Your act of kindness and compassion was more appreciated than you will ever know!!!
