My therapist, in particular, helped me work through challenges and develop the tools I needed to move forward with confidence. While I did not stay in the housing program, I saw firsthand how much effort the staff puts into supporting clients at every level of care. From transportation to AA meetings and recovery-focused activities to team-building events and recreational outings, they do an excellent job creating a supportive environment. One of the unique aspects of the program is its location--the beach is only a short walk away, providing a peaceful place for reflection and healing. Recovery is never easy, but Footprints Beachside Recovery gave me the structure, support, and encouragement I needed during an important chapter of my life. He reported I had high cholesterol scores which could lead to stroke heart attack, and he then proceeded to go over the 30 other blood test results and when I wanted to go back to the one that he flagged as a problem high cholesterol and he said oh, he already told me the score. Very dismissive. I tried writing down the scores he told me don't bother he would give me the sheet. He asked why I wasn't coming every six months and I said I wasn't aware there was a problem. I asked to see last year's score and they couldn't do that due to a computer glitch. He seemed annoyed that I wanted to ask questions I told him I didn't appreciate that and then he stated it seemed we're having problems communicating. At that point I just said we've always had this problem and then he just got up left room and terminated me as a patient. When I first started seeing him his niece would come into write notes on each visit. I recommend he go back to that.

Phone interview went well. We had our first session. The therapist then reached out to me saying my insurance was inactive. I questioned the therapist "Why hasn't your company reached out.". Mind you, 5 weeks went by since our first interview via phone. I was told 3 days before our next appointment that I was still inactive and they were going to cancel my daughter's appointment. Again, I questioned why since I called my insurance and they reassured me we were in network. After many conversations, I was then told we dont take EAP. I wasted so much time and effort finding someone then telling me they won't take me on. I was beyond fed up. They then tried to tell me they would take the EAP to satisfy me. Please make sure you have your office/paying source in place. This was beyond frustrating and did not appreciate your staff blaming the insurance or dealing with a third party for your paying source. This is very unfortunate.
