The lady shampooed my hair very well but I did bring in my own shampoo and conditioner because I've heard questionable things about theirs. The place, overall, is a little dirty or just not kept. If you start hard enough you'll understand what I mean. Also, when I was throwing something away, I saw this right next to the garbage. Idk what it is but I wouldn't want it in my head. I would come back if another emergency but this is NEVER my first stop. Oh my hair was cute but they definitely blow dry on hell which is not healthy for regular maintenance.

When I called to schedule the appointment, Saad, the owner said it was fine to walk-in any time before 8pm. The shop was easy to find and there is plenty of parking. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that I was immediately able to receive service. My normal stylist typically ends up overbooking himself and inevitably I end up waiting 30 minutes or so as he finishes the previous client. A basic wash, blow dry and style is $30 which is pretty good since I usually pay $45, plus costs to park since the shop is downtown. It was $10 extra for the deep conditioner and another $10 for the trim. Still pretty good in comparison to other shops. It's not a lavish/luxury spot, so don't expect a spa type setting...but it's comfortable and clean. Saad provided good advice regarding my hair care and worked at a reasonable pace (not too quickly like he was in a rush...not too slowly as if he wasn't respecting my time). I'd definitely recommend giving this salon a try.

However, I stopped in about a week ago for their mani/pedi promo and apparently the woman servicing me was "tired". Totally understandable, I was tired myself. However, I do believe that putting real energy behind being approachable and friendly is important when you're feeling tired or something.. just about having a little etiquette (just my opinion) So.. I was unsure about the way she conducted herself with me. I wanted to be understanding but she just seemed uninterested in servicing me in general and apparently wasn't about to try to be anything other than "tired", like I should accept that as a paying customer. Beth took the time to discuss what I wanted to do before my first appointment. I sent her pictures and ideas and we went over options. When I got there, I felt really comfortable, and Beth was completely genuine and friendly which is a big deal when you are with someone for long periods of time. Not only did I love the color she gave me, but I loved her and her partner. I got a really good vibe there. I am not a huge people person, so for me to so quickly like someone and feel comfortable is really saying a lot. I would recommend this salon to everyone.
