I narrowed my search to Jamie and that was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Right from my first meeting with Jamie, I felt very comfortable, zero judgement, I was free to bear my heart out to her and she diagnosed the root cause of my issues which was a life with no boundaries. I had the biggest light bulb moments I've ever had in my life during our sessions. I spent over a year with Jamie and each session was super refreshing. I looked forward to each session. She uncovered a lot of connections from my past that were affecting some of the decisions and choices I was making. It was mind-blowing. I am a stronger woman with firm boundaries because of Jamie's help. She helped me work through each childhood hurt that was causing me depression. With her support, I had multiple difficult conversations with those in my past who hurt me and with each conversation, I was able to forgive and move forward and I felt a huge boulder drop from my heart. The way I was admitted many years ago would be considered far below the standards of best practice in more patient oriented states. If you are aggrieved in any way, they tell you to speak to a Patient Advocate who I experienced as not advocating for me, but protecting the institution in my talks with them. I did not get a promised call back or email back. I personally consider the Menninger Clinic a profit driven disgrace to the mental healthcare field.

I was misdiagnosed at a facility that charged my parents an honestly insulting amount of money, and they couldn't even do the thing they said they'd do right. I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should attend this place, and if you plan on going for diagnostics, go literally ANYWHERE else. the only good part about this place was the food.

Shana Clark is a licensed professional counselor, and she specializes in so many issues: relationships/couples counseling, anger management, career counseling, problem solving, drug/alcohol abuse, grief/loss, anxiety ... I like that she has a spiritual background, and she is one of the few in people in Houston who uses the Thought Field Therapy/Emotional Freedom Therapy (TFT/EFT) and Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) aka "tapping" to clear of any negative emotions, energy and thoughts. She's also very honest and doesn't "shrink" you ... she tells it like it is based on professional experience. I dig it.

You call in because you have questions or are having a problem, they are not competent or knowledgeable, the language barrier makes it 20x more stressful and difficult. If you are seeking these services it means you're already having struggles of some kind and this company NEVER takes those challenges into account. They are going bankrupt, have lawsuits against them. And if that's not enough I'll explain my personal experience with them as well, I have severe PTSD, anxiety, and major depressive disorder. I have to be medicated to be able to function with daily life. This company called me and left me a message, it was someone who spoke extremely broken English couldnt even say my name, butchered it so bad I'm like they must have the wrong person because for one, that name doesn't remotely resemble mine, and two I know for a fact my insurance is fully active. Well anyway, turns out they were trying to get ahold of me and they went ahead and cancelled my appointment for absolutely no reason because my insurance has remained active. i called back and explained to them my appointment was extremely important because I am almost out of my medication and will run out in 3 days time. They told me I could pay cash for my appointment (sketchy) I said no, I have tricare prime I shouldn't have to pay a dime. I asked if they could at the very least provide me an emergency refill so I don't go cold turkey off my medication. They refused, so weeks of absolute mental and spiritual torture ensued while I battled with them over insurance for absolutely zero reason because I was in touch with tricare and they said there was zero issues. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AT ALL. Go somewhere else.
