Took my (underage) daughter and some of her friends in today for piercings. We waited over an hour (the piercer's were really busy that day - not the tattoo artist ) and they wouldn't let me use the restroom. The owner said it was for customers only. Even tho I was the one paying and I was there as a minors adult guardian. I was about to drop $300 on piercings at a place that values and respects its customers so well that they wouldn't even let them use the restroom. After waiting over an hour! Pathetic. Don't waste your time or money. There are over 1 million tattoo shops in San Diego that do just as good of a job, but actually treat their customers with respect. Fucking joke of a shop. read more

I got 2 new tattoos this week and both are excellent. One is a banjo. Friends are amazed at the clean strait lines and perfect round drum. The rosary beads on my arm appear 3D. Arianna did focused beautiful art and Josh showed subtle mentoring with suggestions on placement so that the final product is better than my original vision. read more

This was my first time going into the Transcendence Tattoo shop, and I was pleasantly surprised! My first impression was how bright and clean the shop looks and feels; very different from most tattoo shops. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful, including the shop owner, Josh. I had a very meaningful tattoo designed personally for me by one of their artists, Eva. She drew up a tattoo that was exactly what I wanted and took her time to make sure I was completely happy with it. The level of professionalism and cleanliness was very impressive, along with all the details put into the process and making sure I was comfortable throughout. I'm already thinking about getting another tattoo in the near future because of how great my experience was at Transcendence, and I will definitely be booking my next appointment with Eva again! read more

Chad gave me a memorial tattoo with the cleanest lines I've ever seen (and by far the best one on my body). Let me vent and also use my session as a two in one therapy session as well! First of all, This is the cleanest shop I have ever been in. I really liked how bright the atmosphere was. Chad is so personable and professional. Came in here last minute around 8pm to see if they'd do a walk in. I knew it was late so I understood if they didn't take me in but the owner was really cool about it and took me in! Showed him a picture and Josh really did a great job and did exactly what I asked for! I had wanted to cover up some scars from the past and wanted to cover up 2 of the really noticeable ones. Autumn did my tattoo and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Let me tell you, getting a rib tattoo isn't as bad as what people say. Yes, some parts hurt, but not nearly as bad as I thought. It just felt like someone cutting me, which is essentially what she was doing. I highly recommend coming here. Tattoo artist was very kind a personable but I was never told I was getting tattooed by an apprentice. Not once was that ever mentioned. They did tell me their age only after they had started tattooing. Too late to go back at that point. Lines are crooked and the tattoo is lopsided. Not only is the staff super funny and constantly making sure we have a great time, but they also have given us countless great tattoos. Went in to get my tragus pierced, called before hand and seemed fine so far. I get there fill out paper work, follow the piercer back to the room and he was setting up his station talking to me and he was cool. Until he stuck the needle in my ear, pauses called back his mentor because he never did that piercing before and that's when I found out he was an apprentice. I then lay there in pain with the new guy and the mentor panicking and teaching him how to pierce my ear. I was in pain during the 5 mins both of the guys were trying to pierce my ear and they only gave me $5 off. Never going back. I now ask for a piercer whose been doing his job for over 10 years because of that experience. read more
