This is one of the first negative reviews I have ever written, and I would write another 100 to describe my experience at Transwest. The service advisor Shawn, is more of a con man than a service advisor. He assumed I did not know the price of an O2 sensor replacement, and attempted to charge me upwards of $800 for labor. I went to 3 more jeep dealerships in Denver, and they said "Shawn was trying to rob you". Not only this, when I called him on his pricing and tried to leave angrily, he lowered the price as if out of thin air. I'm utterly disgusted, and would not recommend this service department to my worst enemy. I've been taken advantage of before, but never before have I seen a sleezebag like Shawn try to do it with a smile on his face. read more

My truck started overheating on I70 just outside of Limon. I brought it in to have them check it out. Turns out i needed coolant and a replacement thermostat. They charged me double the amount for the same service I had one month ago. $700 to replace a thermostat is robbery!! If I wasn't stuck here I'd find someplace else. Beware outlandish service prices!! Edit: When it was all said and done they got the repairs done pretty quickly and the service manager took $100 off the bill. Was in limon for work. Took my truck to their shop for an oil change and tire rotation. And the man in services was very rude to me and my two coworkers that also brought their trucks in for service. It was a negative experience all around because of his attitude alone. The woman at the front desk in the show room was very nice to us though. read more

I had brake issues on a multi state trip and ended up in this small town. Went to Napa Auto first but they were unable to help. I called this place on a Saturday and they got me right in. They were extremely helpful and I was out within the hour! I was astounded by the amazing customer service, professionalism, and knowledge. Shelby the service advisor handled it all like a boss!! Thank you guys for getting me back on the road. Most places I looked up weren't open on weekends. Very grateful for these guys!! Couldn't thank them enough. Their waiting room was awesome too. So I had my Jeep "fixed" and I've tried contacting your office numerous times via email and phone only to be ignored! My jeep is STILL pulling to the right and your service guys either didn't align it right or didn't do it at all as the steering wheel now cocks to the right and it still pulls bad to ty e right and shakes going 75-80 mph!!! THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED. So I'm am canceling my check and demanding you fix my car right ..I didn't pay you guys $1500 to not fix my Jeep. This is now the THIRD problem I have had with this damn car and with your office in LESS THAN A YEAR!!!! read more

Wow this place is terrible! By far the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic! Save yourself serious headache and money and find somewhere else to go. The management is terrible, i've got more problems now than I did when I took the vehicle in!!! What should've been a one week fix has taken them over four months. I'm taking my losses and moving on! Chris the service manager is nightmare to work with. This place is terrible all the way around!!! Just when I thought it was over I wouldn't have to deal with Transwest anymore they left me the wrong keys to another customers GMC. Truly pathetic! read more

To anyone looking for a top notch service department with a Ram - Dodge or Jeep this is your place! I had a unique situation where my vehicle required a special lift system so the dealer could perform a warranty repair. I contacted Shelby at Trans West and she assured me they could handle the repair after I wasted 3 days going to local Denver metro dealers with no success on them being able to perform the repairs after they said they could. I decided to make the 90 mile trip and arrived early and was greeted by Chris Coleman the service manager which immediately opened up the service door and waved me in. Chris proceeded to have me explain the issue and he also assured me they could handle the job. During my visit Chris gave me a quick tour of their shop facilities and in all my years I have never seen an automotive repair facility so clean and organized. Once all the paperwork was filled out Chris then got the loaner vehicle ready washing it and vacuuming it out so I could get on my way back to Denver. As promised I received multiple updates on the repairs and the vehicle was completed and ready the date Chris promised. Kudos to a business that did what they promised!! Price is about 20 to 25% higher for things like oil changes than in Colorado Springs. I suppose you have to factor in convenience and fuel cost if you're local to the Limon area. Most of the staff are friendly. Their waiting area is not the most comforting; cold coffee, hard chairs, only three of them. It's obvious how some employees focus on the people they know and pretty much ignore others. As far as their service techs no complaints thus far. Been there twice and no problems yet. So a bit pricey, not customer oriented but efficient. read more

I needed a few recalls on my 2015 Dodge Ram and had a transmission issue I wanted to have looked at while it was still covered by warranty. I contacted Chris in the service department and he and his team were simply the best. I have used the two other Ram dealerships in Colorado Springs in the past and have not been pleased with their service, or their sales. Even if you don't live in Limon give Chris a call! Odds are he can figure something out that will make your life much easier. Got my truck back the next day. Could not be more impressed with the professionalism. My wife wants to get a Grand Cherokee in the next 12 months. I will go out to Limon, even though it's not close, because they have earned my business for life. read more

I wish there was some way to give them a negative star. Under new ownership and all their sales and most of the other staff aren't local. If you have to deal with city folks anyway you might as well head to Denver or the Springs. These people are liars and their prices are a lot higher than ANY dealership in the city, but they will tell you it is their wholesale price. Not willing to make ANY concessions, unless of course you are willing to buy a Dodge Dart. The old ownership had some challenges and might not have been very efficient but at least they were straight forward. Now however, they fired most of the locals and replaced them with people from the city and they couldn't care less, none of them live out here so they leave work head back to the city and don't have to face any of the people in our community that they screw over. I worked with Tasha Morrow last time I went there, she wasn't able to help me but she was straight forward and honest and I didn't feel like i needed a shower afterwards. These people think it's great that most of the locals aren't working there anymore. I think they actually think that is a selling point. read more

NEVER BUY A USED CAR FROM THESE THIEVES. About a week after purchasing a used Subaru Forester from them, a slew of very serious electrical issues came to the surface with repair bills exceeding $4,000. When I spoke with manager Adam Landkammer, he told me "buyer beware" and that he is able to "sell a lot of these cars because the thing is that people don't know what is wrong with them". I kid you not. Deplorable behavior and there is no reason this dealership should be in business with practices like that. After negotiation, we were finally able to get $1,000 out of them to assist with the repairs. But now after spending the $4,000, the issue is back. Thanks guys! Glad I could be the proud owner of another TransWest lemon. read more

Easy and smooth purchase of a used car. I saw the car online as I was searching for a new (used) car for my daughter. Transwest happened to have a car we were interested in. I left a message on Sunday, Mike Hardiman returned my call promptly on Monday morning. He continued to check in with me over the week, which I appreciated. We purchased the car and picked it up the next weekend. We drove from out of state to get the car, but everyone at Transwest made it an easy process. Customer Service was stellar and here is our story. On Saturday, October 8, 2016 we were returning to our home in Minnesota after vacationing in Utah, New Mexico and Colorado for two weeks. We own a 2012 Jeep Cherokee we had serviced just before our trip; oil change and tire rotation. At 4:30 p.m. we pulled into Limon, CO to fill our gas tank and heard a noise coming from our back right tire, upon inspection we didn't notice anything we could pin point so began driving down the road to see if we could hear the noise again. Suddenly the noise increased and we just happened to be in front of Transwest saw their garage door was open and pulled in. We were greeted immediately by Alex in Sales who joined my husband inspecting the noise, still not seeing the problem Alex offered to bring the Service Manager out for a look. Just as the Service Manager approached another gentleman in Sales came out and immediately saw the issue. We had three bolts broken off and the tire was being held on by two remaining bolts and lug nuts. We were all astonished. By this time it is 4:45 p.m. on Saturday and they close at 5, with that, everyone who had been involved in our situation assured us they would work to take care of us in spite of the time of day. Vinny D'Amico the Service Manager and Shelby the Lube Technician assured us they would work to get us back on the road, and they had to work at it. A few of the parts we needed were not readily available and after Vinny checked it would be Tuesday before the parts would arrive. After learning our situation Vinny went to work to figure out how they could get us back on the road yet that afternoon. As we waited everyone on the Sales floor was so very supportive and reassuring. As the Sales floor began to lock up for the night they reassured us that we could stay and wait for Vinny and Shelby to finish the job. After about 45 minutes Vinny had us take a look and he explained what he had to do to improvise since he didn't have all the parts necessary (given we are from a "Salt Road State" and Colorado doesn't deal with the rust issues as much.) By 6:30 p.m. we were back on the road heading to Minnesota, thankful to be alive and that our car and camper were still intact! My husband and I were struck by the genuine concern each individual we came in contact with had for us and our situation. Given the time of day and that it was a Saturday we know they could have politely turned us away and not given it one thought. But they didn't, we didn't have to be local to be treated like a local. For the next hour my husband and I commented on the positive experience we just had and every time we visit Colorado we may have to go through Limon to stop in and say hello. I stopped at Transwest on my way from Denver to Detroit. I had a small issue of an oil change to get. The whole staff really took care of my 2015 jeep Wrangler Rubicon and me. I was offered a bottle of cold water even as I was stepping in the door. I have Wi-Fi and I was offered a bottle of cold water even as I was stepping in the door. They provide Wi-Fi and a quiet customer waiting room. The oriole change and overall check took less than 40 minutes. I am a fan! read more

I took my 2015 Ram 2500 in because of transmission and U-Connect problems with about 5,000 miles on it. I purchased it new at this dealership in February 2015. I'm going on 3 weeks now without my truck and all the service department (AMANDA MCMILLAN) can say is "We're waiting on the part." Save yourself weeks of waiting and just drive another hour and a half to Denver and get things done reasonably. read more

I recently purchased a new truck and their sales service was amazing. They were willing to shop around a found me the best finance option available. Dave Leiker was able to walk me through the finance process and was able to answer every question I had for him. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Tim Allen was the salesman that helped me with picking out my truck and getting everything lined up a ready to go. These guys were able to get me in and out extremely fast and were also able to educate me on everything that needed to know. After purchasing my truck I wanted to buy some side steps for my new truck before leaving. They got me over the Danny in parts and he was able to get me the side steps I was looking for within minutes. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. I have already recommended several of my friends and co-workers to visit these guys when they are ready to purchase a new vehicle. read more
