We have been looking for a new camper van for some time now and just purchased a "new" 2022 Antero Longs Peak from Transwest. We are located in Reno so I was a little leery being so far away and not being able to see the van and getting specific info etc. but AC truly went above and beyond to be there for us. He would respond to texts with various questions that we had quickly and even on the weekends. Just a genuinely nice and honest guy to work with...can't recommend him enough. What really helps with being so far from the dealer is the videos that they do on YouTube. It really made me feel comfortable with the purchase without physically seeing the van. I already knew how they dive because we have an older sprinter that we just sold...this might not be the case for some. The only thing that caught us a little off guard is that the van was advertised as a 2022 but that is just the conversion model. The van turned out to actually be a 2019 but it is still brand new with us being the first owners. Just think that should be explained up front but we still love the van and are overall very happy with our experience. Financing was a breeze too. Stephanie was great to work with and got us a great interest rate. Everything was quick and explained thoroughly. There was one hiccup when it came to picking up the van. They were late on getting the van ready for the walk through because there was an issue with the heater. This is something that should have been checked prior to my arrival being that I had a 15 hour drive home that night but AC called the folks down at Antero and they rushed right over to address the heater along with some other minor issues. Overall I think Transwest was great to work with and I highly recommend them. AC is the man so be sure to ask for him if you're looking for a new van/RV or whatever. Great job AC!

Avoid their service department at all costs!…read more We needed service on our RV to replace a damaged awning and other related repairs. First, let me say that it is impossible to actually talk to someone on the phone. You call and it tells you to text a number. We started with that and got a response asking us to bring it in that day. I rearranged my schedule to drive it up, encouraged by their initial quick response. When I arrived, there was no record of them actually knowing that I was coming, despite the text exchange. However, they had Brandon come out to look at my camper. He inspected it and showed me some details - so far it was going well. He said he would have an estimate later that afternoon ("in a few hours"). That was a month ago. They now ignore any texts that we have sent asking for an update. Absolutely no communication from Brandon or anyone else there. It is impossible to actually get someone on the phone. What a waste of my time. They seem to cherry pick their jobs and ignore everyone else.

The unit was on the lot alot longer than thought that pretty much all the silicone needs reapplied and the skylight already uv cracking and needs replaced. The ac unit covers were pretty warped from snow load. I didn't bother trying to work with them on this stuff because of the fight already with emails and calls When we went out side to hook up i was doing my walk around and looked underneath it and found screws missing , flap waving in the wind and tank drain not secured so the service manager stayed late to secure with screws and tapped it for temporary. Stuff we did see inspection was 2 big tears in the floor and they did take care of that. We seen some more that were covered up good by silicone but did not notice till after the fact when it was discolored. . First night going home we stoped to sleep and noticed the screen door and stairs when stowed the main door did not shut right. Got home and also found the solar charge controller not working and there was a water leak from the shower after using it. I can say keystone warranty is top notch for DIY and you will need it. So I called got a appointment since we are going to be traveling 500 miles and had a trip already planed for the same area. I was going to have them do several more things after fixing the warranty work. Called to verify stuff and could not get ahold of the main person i was emailing. Round and rounds of trying to call then got another service advisor and none of the notes or concerns from the whole conservation was added. So after him got ahold of the operations manager and she helped alot to get things situated. Day of appointment was another story and again butted heads with the service advisor, had to get the operation manger again. They fixed everything half-assed. Screen door warranty does shut better but had a gap about 3/4 inch on the top. There fix for the flap was to put tap on it again and that came off first 30 miles to fist camp site. The tank drain still not secured correctly . Keystone already sent me the solar charge controller. Shower drain was just needed tightened so thats a plus and no leaks. What i would recommend is make sure get on the roof and underside of the camper. It was obviously someone knew a problem and forgot about it. I would recommend going somewhere else unless they have the unit you absolutely want and i will say there buying experience is great but they do try to rush it. I do know i am not great at grammar and i know that.

I would **never** rent from Cruise America again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering…read morethem look elsewhere. Our family rented an RV for what was supposed to be a four-day vacation. Instead, three of those four days were spent dealing with catastrophic mechanical failures, repair shops, roadside emergencies, and a vehicle exchange. The most shocking part? We later discovered the black and gray water plumbing underneath the RV had been held together with **duct tape and zip ties instead of proper support brackets.** It eventually failed at a gas station, dumping raw sewage and covering me while I tried to make an emergency roadside repair. It was disgusting, humiliating, and completely avoidable. An authorized RV repair facility in San Diego inspected the vehicle and told us it was **illegal to operate.** Despite knowing this, Cruise America instructed us to continue driving it to another location for an exchange, putting my family at risk and exposing us to potential legal consequences if we had been stopped. The problems didn't stop there. The generator had never been properly inspected before we left. A breaker hidden behind the maintenance panel had been left switched off, leaving us without air conditioning, heat, or microwave power for the first two days while traveling through 100-degree temperatures and freezing nights. When we finally arrived at the pre-arranged exchange location in Lakewood, the office was **closed.** We ended up completing paperwork with a neighbor who openly admitted he didn't even work for Cruise America and had no idea how to inspect the replacement RV. Even the replacement vehicle wasn't properly prepared. The hot and cold water lines were installed backward, and the tires were 10-15 PSI underinflated. After everything we endured, Cruise America refused to fully compensate us despite extensive documentation, repair invoices, photographs, and written confirmation from the repair shop that the original RV should not have been on the road. What concerns me most isn't that mechanical problems happened--machines can fail. It's that this company appears willing to rent out poorly maintained vehicles, send customers onto the road in unsafe conditions, and then avoid taking meaningful responsibility afterward. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was a serious safety issue that exposed my family to unnecessary risk, destroyed the majority of our vacation, and forced us to spend our time fixing problems that never should have existed. If a company is comfortable sending customers out in an RV that a certified repair shop later declares **illegal to drive**, then I have absolutely no confidence in their inspection process or their commitment to customer safety. There are plenty of RV rental companies. I sincerely encourage anyone considering Cruise America to choose one that values preventative maintenance, customer safety, and accountability. Cruise America has permanently lost our business, and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Once our situation better aligned with moving forward with a purchase, just for grins, I searched "new" camper vans instead of searching used and I landed on a new 2025 Thor Twist at Mericle that was priced competitively with used models I'd seen. It had 1,200 miles from being driven from the factory in Indiana and was taken to a trade show, but everything Thor was unused and still under warranty. We reached out via their contact us form and was out in touch with Brandon. This is a small, mom and pop dealership-and we love supporting small businesses. Brandon was upfront and very fair. It was up there with the best "car-buying" experiences I've ever had. We corresponded by phone, FaceTime for a video walkthrough of the van and checked everything on the van to make sure everything was in order. They specialize in tow behind trailers, so the van wasn't for their primary audience. After we did our due diligence, we made arrangements to drive from Texas to Colorado to see it in person and to purchase it if everything checked out. And it did. Brandon, DJ and Mike took great care of us, getting us acquainted with all of the systems, researching and fixing a noise on the roof that ended up being some cables for the awning that had broken free of their zip tie before we headed back to Texas. No sales pressure, just genuine, nice people that went above and beyond for even out of state buyers! lol. If you're looking for a place that remembers how to give great service, reach out to them. Thank you Brandon, DJ and Mike Mericle for your patience and attention to all the details.
