Delicious. And fairly priced! I asked what they recommended and i was not disappointed. Only $5 euros for a STUFFED chicken cacciatore . The bread is delicious and the meat is stewed and OMG I could eat this every day!

In Italy it can be hard to find food between lunch and dinner. We were hungry and this was only slightly out of the way on our way to sightsee from our hotel. I prayed the hours were correct on Yelp. Good news. They were open! I had the chicken cacciatore and my husband had a beef one. The chicken one won it over for me. It was great per the Yelp recommendations. We also got a rice ball. It was delicious! I thought one each was great and tied us over until some late pizza on our way home for the night. If you're really hungry maybe you'll want 2? Highly recommend.

YAS girl and YAS and delicious!! Eat eat eat!! So sad I could spend my days in Rome here all the time! Wash it all down with a craft beer!!! Friendly staff, delicious food, worth the journey but this area you should eat for Roman cuisine anyways! Honnnneyyyy... you won't be disappointed

First stop in Rome! Meatballs with marinara, chicken, signature Classico, and eggplant. All were delicious but our favorite was the signature classic ball. Very tasty! We actually went back for one more. This place is welcoming and there is another side to it with wine and more seating. Would come back again.

Came in around 20:15 right before it got crowded. There are two locations for this one location. One where you order and then door is where you can actually sit and eat which it's very nice and casual. Keeps the smell of the fried food out of the air... tons of beers and drinks to choose from and large selection of types of traps on menu . Stracciatella and anchovies was the first one and flavors mixed well. Not too much of a fish taste . Second was chicken, perfect because the crust or bread was nice and hot and crispy and chicken very again very flavorful! Wish I was more hungry to try them all b it we will be back for sure !

WOW! This place really does induce an appetite. I wasn't even hungry and I ended up ordering another! So delicious and the different toppings are so good! My husband and I tried eggplant parm, chicken marsala, meatball and ox tail stew! It was delicious! One of my favorite places to eat in Rome and its definitely a cheap eat! Wish I could be back in Rome right now just to visit this place! PS. Their deep fired rice balls are one of the best that I had on the trip! I am soooo hungry right now just thinking about it!

Looks like the Trapizzino empire is growing. Two locations in Rome and one in Japan. I literally showed up the day after they opened their bottle shop. Artisanal beers and wine make up most of the goods but there are some craft sodas and such here and there too. More importantly, it now acts as an overflow to the tiny cramped main space/few outside tables next door. I sat in what was a high school auditorium chair while overlooking their selection. Balladin Spuma is always a refreshing choice on a warm afternoon. Kick it on the communal table now if you have a big group for your Trapizzino...

Trapizzino is one of Testaccio's greatest exports. This street food mecca is in all the guide books these days, so you're just as likely to find tourists and travellers queuing for its delights - but to be fair, they have come to the right place. Also selling suppli and craft beers, the main draw is the Trapizzino, an invention of owner Stefano Callegari, which is an artfully crafted pocket of pizza bread, whose triangular format and densely oiled dough manages to act as the perfect receptacle for the sort of tasty sauces you'd traditionally associate with pasta dishes - including pollo alla cacciatore (hunter's chicken), pollo con peperoni (chicken with peppers) and polpette in sugo (meatballs in tomato sauce.) I opted for the hunter's chicken today which was very tasty but a bit over-salted for my preferences. My friend tried a seasonal dish, octopus in tomato sauce, which was also very tasty. The craft beers and artisan sodas for sale are a nice touch and fit in with the quality, made in Italy vibe. There's very little seating inside so expect to go outside and find a bench in the piazza, or eat in the street.

We did the Italian wines and cheese pairings class (a group class of about 10 people) led by Hande, the sommelier. She was incredible!! Her knowledge was so impressive, but she imparted it in such a fun and conversational way that it was extremely interesting and never pretentious. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute of it. It really made us more interested and confident in our wine selections for the remainder of our trip. You could have as many pours as you liked and the wines were very good quality and a broad spectrum. She gives you a map of the Italian wine and grape regions and a listing of all that you taste. Also, ADD THE CHEESE TASTING! It was the best cheese we had on the entire trip. I have never had fresher mozzarella and ricotta. I think we had about 7 different cheeses in all as well as delicious bread and meats. Again, we could eat as much as we wanted, and trust me, we wanted a lot! She wasn't looking at the clock at all, we sat and ate and drank like we were among old friends. It was such a special night. A must do while in Rome!

If you know Italians, you know they take their food quality seriously. This is where Ricardo and Podere Vecciano become a memorable part to our time in Rome. The store had a decent variety or products, prices were fair, but the service was fantastic. I was purchasing gifts for 8 people. When I asked Ricardo for some help learning about purchase options he gave me more than the basics about the products, he provided his opinion on what he felt the better choice for my gift was and it wasn't tied to the price of the options. Ricardo was fantastic in helping me, but it was the sharing of himself that made this visit memorable. Not only do I get to take back the all the goodies we got, but I get to take back the warm experience and a personal story (and even a picture with Ricardo). Ricardo not only elevated the shopping experience, but our entire experience of Rome was more positive from our interaction. We even made a second trip to the store before our trip was done. Another great part of this experience is the fact that when I give these gifts....the gift comes with a back story courtesy of Ricardo. I can't wait to give these gifts and share my story about Ricardo.

My family and I started with the prosciutto and buffalo goat cheese served with oil and pepper, which was my favorite part of the entire meal. We also ordered a pretty good vegetable lasagna, a chicken dish with a delicious sauce, and two gnocchi dishes, including a carbonara-style one. Everything came out quickly, and there were unique items displayed around the restaurant that you could try and buy, which made the experience even more fun. We were so full from the appetizer that we only ate about half of the gnocchi. The owner noticed and kindly refunded those dishes, saying we should not pay for something we barely touched. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and left a huge impression on us. Overall, Masto is an amazing restaurant with fantastic food, quick service, and some of the kindest staff you will ever meet. I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
