The standout at the table was the carbonara -- really good. Creamy, rich egg-based sauce, crisp guanciale, and perfectly al dente pasta. The cacio e pepe was ok -- still rich with pecorino and enjoyable, and the carbonara was the clear standout. Overall, a great, reliable stop near the Pantheon when you're looking for a quick, satisfying, and well-priced meal.

It was a long cheese pull that would belong on any type of food blog. The rice was also so creamy and rich. It was a codfish with tomato, black olives, potatoes, capers, and basil. It was a small piece of fish, but had plenty of flavor. For dessert, we had the ricaroi di after eight and pannacotta. The after eight consisted of white chocolate and mint mousse with mint powder and a chocolate shell. This was okay. The granola or some type of crumb that accompanied the dish was the highlight. The mint mousse was a little too strong. Regarding the pannacatta, it was with coconut and ginger passion fruit reduction and caramelized pineapple. The fruit reduction was sweet and the same granola or crumb in the after eight dessert was present. The pannacotta I was not a fan of. Will I go back? Sure.

We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.
