If I could give this place a 10/10 I would! It's a little confusing to find from the road, it's on the main road but its right next to an insurance building. It also shares it's parking lot with the insurance building. There's no super big sign or big building that says escape room. Once inside, there's a bunch of other small businesses that share the space with this business, and it was smaller than I was expecting. They have several options to choose from, our group chose the excalibur option, and it came out to $29/person. The excalibur room is big, wheelchair accessible, and definitely worth it-it fulfilled all my desires! The room has a lot of challenging puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers. They even had a ceiling glass ball puzzle that you could solve by pulling ropes-that was my personal favorite part of the whole room. It definitely had a camelot theme to it, but it was still sparse at the same time if that makes sense. They could've juiced up the decorations a little bit more. As a first timer at escape rooms, I found this a little challenging but doable and we finished with 12 minutes to spare. This activity is also a great icebreaker!

They drop off the winter planter at your door, and then they come by to pick up and refresh it every season, so you have a seasonally-appropriate planter all year round! The winter planter is STUNNING with winter greens and pops of color that have stayed vibrant through the winter months. I can't wait to see what spring's planter will be! FLORAL GIFTS My husband gifted me two different floral bouquets recently: one for our anniversary and one for Valentine's day. Both were delivered with great care - the delivery person called prior to drop off to make sure I'd be home. He selected the "florist special" for both, and both were absolutely STUNNING and unique! They've lasted for weeks now and smell AMAZING. We can't get over how amazing they have made our house smell and having nice florals on the table is just so lovely! I'll let the photos speak for themselves here, but couldn't be more thrilled with the arrangements. They will be our go to florist from now on!

A little bit about us , we are two gay men who have live in NYC for ten years , we have been to lots of parties , and had high expectations . Here is why we love Maddie Money - Maddy's price is very reasonable even for Minnesota standards- she pretty much paid for herself by saving us thousands of dollars with her long list of A list vendors. From linens , to desserts , to chandeliers. Maddie provided us with the best quality to price ratio. She attended every meeting, every tasting, and served as a liaison if we decided to make changes. Execution- Optimistic and fast, Maddie was sweet as sugar, but don't mistake that for weakness. Maddie has been in the business a long time, she made sure that the vendors were on point, modified timelines, and was prepared for the unexpected. She took the stress away and worked hard to make our wedding a success. Therapist - Maddie was personal and empathetic. She listened to every family drama, annoyance, or groomzilla crises that we went through. Professional yet approachable, Also she would respond to every email and phone call within an hour. Cutting edge As jaded New Yorkers , we had lots of fashion and PR industry patrons attend our reception. Our friends were blown away, by the execution creativity, and visual presentation of our wedding . This was because of Maddie . So in the end she is simply the best , she did exactly what we wanted , anticipated out needs, and kept us calm. If you want to plan a serious wedding that will impress your friends , hire this lady and her amazing team. She's the best in Minnesota and would kill it in NYC.

Not only were we planning a destination wedding, but Sydney is based in Minnesota and I'm in North Carolina. Through weekly calls, we tackled everything together. She was kind, attentive, timely, and everything you could possibly want in a wedding planner. We quickly became so close, and she made the entire wedding planning process much more bearable. She was the perfect sounding board, honest, supportive, and always kept us on track. The day of our wedding, she was the perfect calming bestie. We absolutely loved having her by our side. I received numerous comments from guests about how "on top of it" she was and how incredibly nice she was. It was so reassuring to know everything was being handled seamlessly. Sydney also recommended the photography/videography team we ended up choosing, Lollipop Media, and they were truly one of the best vendors I've ever worked with. I would recommend them 100 times over and completely trust Sydney's judgment when it comes to vendor recommendations. You are in great hands with Sydney, and we truly couldn't recommend her more.

She did an incredible job managing all the moving parts--coordinating with vendors, cueing our ceremony, troubleshooting our slideshow during the reception, and even setting up and taking down our floral photo display. Her attention to detail and kind, thoughtful nature made such a difference--she even sent us Christmas cookies last year, which was such a sweet and personal touch! If you're looking for a planner who is not only on top of her game but also genuinely cares about her clients, I can't recommend Sydney enough. She helped make our wedding everything we hoped it would be.

Juliane James Place, owned and managed by The Bash Collective, is a beautiful, rustic wedding site…read morenear Finlayson, MN. The beauty of the property drew us in. Don't be fooled. There are so many beautiful pieces of land in Northern Minnesota, that are as natural and equally exquisite. First they are extremely overpriced--$10,000 just to use their land for 6 hours. It includes electricity, use of their space and a tent with a dance floor, a few farmhouse tables and NOTHING else. They do not provide location insurance, as all hotels and most other properties do. And you must buy your insurance from the owner's designated insurer--that felt unethical and very fishy. Secondly, the property is owned by a married couple, Jesse and Alyson, but Alyson runs it all. They use it in fall, winter and spring. Therefore it is their personal land, and they don't actually want you there. To protect their property they have a list of rules that are so restrictive that we felt like trespassers on their property rather than invited, paying guests. Given all their rules and regulations, we had to ask permission for each and every thing we wanted to do. And Alyson's attitude is so rigid and controlling, that she said "no" to every single thing we wanted to do. We were not asking to have a rager or to trash their property--we were asking to create "stations" for various games and activities at the wedding, like beer pong, a coloring table, and card games, and she said "no" to each and every request because it didn't fit her cookie-cutter idea of a wedding. Alyson is a very controlling person and likes things her way. I believe that if the bride makes reasonable requests, she should be able to have the wedding SHE envisions. Because of Alyson's requirements to approve every element of your wedding to ensure you don't violate any of their prescriptive rules, we had to contact Alyson for permission before putting down deposits on anything--and Alyson would not speak to us at all until 60 days before the event, when all the deposits are already paid, knowing that everything we contracted for may or may not be approved. Here is the most frustrating part of all: Each time we contacted Alyson for the permission THEY require, Alyson was NEVER AVAILABLE and DID NOT RETURN EMAILS, TEXT MESSAGES, PHONE CALLS OR WRITTEN LETTERS throughout the planning process--even after 5 different emails were sent about the very same urgent question. We hired the wedding planner recommended by JJP for the day of the event, and Alyson STILL DID NOT RESPOND TO OUR PLANNER, even 3 days before the wedding for critical final questions. When I confronted the owner to ask why she does not respond, her answer was, "Julianne James Place is not my main business, and I'm much more interested in the other one, so I don't pay much attention to this one." Well, let me tell you something--as the Mother of the Bride--THIS IS A SERVICE BUSINESS AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE, GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS!! The cabin the bride dresses in is not air conditioned, so our makeup and hair were pretty melted by the time we got to the aisle, as it was a typical summer Minnesota summer day, with 85 degrees temps and humidity.Avoid this venue and the Bash Collective, and you'll save a fortune in expenses, and more importantly, your sanity during an exciting, but let's face it--stressful--time. It's hard to find, but NOT WORTH THE EFFORT. Run the other way!
