My daughters, now ages 7 & 9, have been going to Dr. Trautman since they first started using their choppers. Actually, it was even before they got the motorcycles; probably since they first had teeth buds. We've always had a positive experience. The staff is super nice, very knowledgable and Dr. Trautman has a very calm manner of interacting with the kids. The folks that do the teeth cleaning are awesome and somehow have managed to make it an event for the girls to head over. They explain everything to them, and have never been the least bit pushy. I remember the first day my older daughter was there, sitting in the chair with huge sunglasses on, almost seeming to enjoy what was happening ... she left wanting to be a dentist. Now she wants to be a cat-unicorn though, so take that for what it's worth. The facility itself is clean and bright, with a big fish tank and a train that runs along the ceiling. It has an open floor plan so you can really see what goes on in the place and it's pretty interesting. The building itself is centrally located right off North Buffalo road, in the heart of Orchard park. I'm writing this review because after we left there today, my daughter was smiling like crazy and happy because she felt really proud of herself for having a great checkup and I believe that Dr. Trautman and his staff had a big part of that moment of goodness. So anyway, If you're looking for a great pediatric dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Trautman and his staff. Thanks for reading all that jabber. Now go have some pizza. You earned it. read more

Dr Trautman has been honing his skills for 25 years, he is also an instructor at UB. He knows his stuff, and his patients. He is the only dentist you'll see in his office, he is personable and funny. You won't come in wondering who you are going to see, he knows all of his patients and treats each one with much respect and care. As much a your child's pediatrician, a dentist plays a big role in a child's life. I highly recommend Dr Mark. read more

took my son for his 1st dental appt- he was about 3. He was anxious and nervous and was a bit difficult. But literally after no more than 30 seconds of trying to examine my child and get him to open his mouth, the Dr. placed his tools down in a huff and told me he was going to anesthetize my child if he wasn't going to be compliant. And went on to tell me that it was more than likely my fault for amping my child up and setting him up to dislike the dentist. What?! My fault? Um sorry, I acted the the dentist was better than Disneyland to my child so that there would be no issues. I think maybe that this 3 year clearly felt you didn't like children. I think a pediatric dentist should actually feel empathetic to a child's fear, not make it worse. Funny, the next dentist we saw was fantastic, caring and seemed to actually like kids and my son was seen and examined with no issue. read more

Dr Trautmann has been my childrens' dentist for many years. He is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to explain/discuss any possible issues of concern. He always greets us with a smile and is the kindest, most patient man! We never have to wait long either-- appointments are always on schedule. I highly recommend him! read more

We've been going to Dr. Mark since my oldest was 3 years old and she is now 15 years old. Everyone at his office, including Dr. Mark, has treated my children with kindness and respect. Dr. Mark has always made my children feel at ease. We are very happy with Dr. Mark and travel from Akron to Orchard park for our visits twice a year. read more
