First let me say that I have no fear of dentistry at all so you can read the review with that in mind and imagine how it would be for someone who does have these issues. Recently I had something ,other than my usual every six month cleaning year after year, occur and I needed it handled as soon as possible. I called my usual Amherst office and explained the situation to the office staff who were very nice and had me speak to Dr Laura Littman. Dr Littman was absolutely wonderful. She understood my concern and wanted to get me in the correct situation as soon as possible. She was so very helpful in getting me in to the Orchard Park office that day. When I arrived at the Orchard Park office their staff was so welcoming. Nikki ( assistant) and Dr Fallon never made me feel like I disrupted their schedule. Dr Fallon asked questions and listened to the answers. Asked if the angle of the chair was comfortable for me, generally was very conscious of me as a patient my comfort and any possible concerns. He resolved the issue and gave me all the information I needed. His chair side manner was above and beyond doctors in any science. The checkout staff was equally thoughtful and helpful topping off the whole experience with kindness. I can't express my thanks enough and how impressed I was by everyone from my first phone call to the Amherst office to checking out at the Orchard Park office, by everyone.

We weren't happy with that practice for many reasons, and Altman Dental was recommended to us by many families that we are friends with. He sees me and my husband and even my 9 year old! He LOVES Dr. Altman ( even more than his Pediatrician which says a lot!). I just came here to say that I always have a great experience with the front desk ladies, while I'm in the chair Dr. Altman is conversational and is humorous and informative and explains what's happening as he's doing it. Today the first step of my implant has started and I needed this tooth pulled. It was a great experience! I don't doubt that he will check on me later. If you are looking for a new practice, I highly recommend!!! I have even seen Dr. Gellert and he's wonderful too. So glad we switched years ago. I will request her from now on. The doctor who saw me was Dr. Mechtler. I found her to be matter of fact and efficient. I am very comfortable with her doing the dental work I will need done. Actually, it was even before they got the motorcycles; probably since they first had teeth buds. We've always had a positive experience. The staff is super nice, very knowledgable and Dr. Trautman has a very calm manner of interacting with the kids. The folks that do the teeth cleaning are awesome and somehow have managed to make it an event for the girls to head over. They explain everything to them, and have never been the least bit pushy. I remember the first day my older daughter was there, sitting in the chair with huge sunglasses on, almost seeming to enjoy what was happening ... she left wanting to be a dentist. Now she wants to be a cat-unicorn though, so take that for what it's worth. The facility itself is clean and bright, with a big fish tank and a train that runs along the ceiling. It has an open floor plan so you can really see what goes on in the place and it's pretty interesting. The building itself is centrally located right off North Buffalo road, in the heart of Orchard park. I'm writing this review because after we left there today, my daughter was smiling like crazy and happy because she felt really proud of herself for having a great checkup and I believe that Dr. Trautman and his staff had a big part of that moment of goodness. You won't come in wondering who you are going to see, he knows all of his patients and treats each one with much respect and care. She's also very knowledgeable about a variety of dental procedures. Fran provided me with referrals for advanced dental work, to include root canal and crown work, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Dr. Cronyn joined the practice in July 2019. So far, he has assisted me in replacing two buckled fillings and a standard x-ray check with my semiannual cleaning. Jen, Julie, Nancy, Lori, Marybeth & all the staff are so kind and personable, it's hard to have a bad experience here, even if the dentist's office is your least-favorite place to be.
