I will request her from now on. The doctor who saw me was Dr. Mechtler. I found her to be matter of fact and efficient. I am very comfortable with her doing the dental work I will need done. The building and rooms appeared clean and in good repair and I felt confident in the infection control procedures. Overall a positive experience.

I've actually been a patient myself here and they've always taken care of me. But this time when the lingual wire behind my bottom teeth had broke and was tearing up my tongue ( talk about pain!) over the course of a few days and seeing their office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I promptly called Monday morning and left a message ( which I had to recall them because they never got back to me ) then to my dismay after explaining what I thought to be a rather sudden emergency, I was told they couldn't fit me in for another 10 DAYS !!! I was out of my mind crazy, especially since I've spent 12 years going there (4 years for each child and myself) and I know they usually have a morning window for emergencies. The woman who I was talking to made me feel like she was DOING ME A FAVOR by giving me an appointment 10 days from now. Made me feel like it wasn't an emergency, well, I beg to differ on that. Because it wasn't tearing up HER tongue. Finally after having to raise my blood pressure on this call, she was going to have to get back to me because she has to "move patients around". She did call me back about two hours later and was able to get me in the next morning. Egad!!! I guess if things like these change so does my rating. Hence 3 stars.

Usually i'm not one to complain about a business, especially during COVID-19 -- but today took the cake. When they usually have us wait for the time being, we're super accommodating to it, we get it. Today on the other hand, it has been brought to my attention that not only did they change my sibling's appointment time, but the receptionist also yelled at them. It's evidently shown that we're not the only one that has experienced this issue, as there is a lot of comments regarding lack of communication AND scheduling. They were scheduled to come in at 4:00PM, as confirmed via text reminder, coming in at 3:52PM, reception tells them their appointment is at 4:40PM. My sibling states that their appointment was scheduled at 4PM, with proof. After showing said proof, reception has them sit for AN HOUR before being shown. Hour passes by, they take them in for x-rays, then have them go back outside with no further instruction. My sibling is texting me freaking out because they don't know how they haven't been seen them for their appointment (for their braces). Another hour passes by, it's literally 6 now. KEEP IN MIND THEY CLOSE AT 6. They ask when they'll even be seen, reception tells them "you were called" and my sibling states "I was in x-ray" . reception REPEATS like it's supposed to make a difference and the other receptionist had to vouch for them that they were legitimately in x-rays when they called. Ultimately, my sibling waited 2ish hours just to get x-rays, not to be seen by anyone, and an interaction with a passive-aggressive receptionist. Such a lack of communication in this setting. Be warned.

I show up a couple minutes early and they are right back getting scene. This is usually unheard of in a medical office. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist I highly recommend this place.

So, my daughter was very nervous and also has sensory challenges, which made a very stressful situation for her. Dr. Amy was amazing! She talked to my daughter so respectfully and lovingly. She tried to empower my daughter and give her confidence - She never once looked impatient or made my daughter feel bad about crying and being so anxious. That's not just a fantastic dentist, that's a beautiful person! Also, Dr. Amy's entire staff was wonderful. I don't know her name, but the assistant in the room was so calming, and a total Pro. Kate on the phones is a class act - never made me feel uncomfortable about asking questions and was extremely helpful. As a parent, I could not have wished for a more knowledgeable, kind and professional dentist. Also, just a great role model for my young daughter - to see a brilliant woman dentist also be so kind and compassionate. And believe me....not all "pediatric dentists" are created equal...I've gone to 2 complete duds before I found Dr. Amy. I drive from OP to E. The environment is calming and relaxing feeling. This is the office I had Invisalign braces done. It took a long time (because of my teeth) but it's the best thing I have done for myself. Aside from routine hygiene care, I've had a root canal and crown done by Dr. Alex Miecyjak. He really puts you at ease, and you know you're literally in good hands. He has a rapport with his assistant and they know just what to do. I trust Dr. Alex emphatically for my dental needs. The office staff and assistants are kind and attentive. I know when I leave, my teeth are as healthy as they can be. I've had other work done here over the years, by other excellent dentists. I thought about going to a different dental practice, for the sole reason for a location closer to home, but I can't give up the known; the positive experiences I've had with Dr. Alex and staff in East Aurora.

Concierge offers both implants & bridges. My insurance policy made my choice for me, but the pricing was in line with what my peers have paid recently. I wanted to also call attention to the Cherry app that they connected me with that can approve you for extended payments starting at 0% interest if that is more comfortable ;). Anyway, there was no pressure, no long waits and since it had been an uncomfortably long time since I'd had regular dental maintenance Dr. Hoon made sure that I got in for a good cleaning, the hygienist was super nice! Also seeing a dentist was not to be that day. She perormed a little cleaning with a water pick and stopped. She would do the rest with the deep cleaning. I complained and she did a little more, but no scrapeing, polishing or dentist evaluation. I was shown to another room where a man told me that would be $1800+. He also told me they gave me a free cleaning. Not true compared to the many times in my 70+ years of experience. (That would have been covered by insurance.) They clearly are upcharging and i wonder if the hygenist works on commission. Let the patient beware! I would really like to give them zero stars.
