Very poor experience with this service. Late delivery and the condition of the trailer was awful. It was relatively clean but COMPLETELY worn out. The usb ports, tv, and cable connections wouldn't work. The cushions were uncomfortable. The kitchen sink was cracked and dirty. We had went to the business location and saw the same model trailer that looked very nice prior to renting. This was definitely not the same trailer that was delivered to us. The trailer was trash! First, there was no key. The first call was asking about the key that supposed to have been inside when I got here. The door will not lock from the inside. A/c loud as hell and not cooling. Tv does not work - Samsung tv with RCA remote. The sofa and dinette and peeling, ripped and torn. Lights suck. The trailer has to remain totally blacked out to try to remotely stay cool. The binds next the dinette has a huge, gapping hole of blinks that look to have been cut off. TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... I sent an email to Travel Time about an upcoming camping trip and requested a quote for the weekend. Two days later, I called and spoke with Willy, who said he's the owner of the business. Willy quoted a price 25% more than another direct competitor in the area, so I told him I wasn't able to rent for the price quoted. When I asked about the email I sent two days prior, he said that he did get the message, but has just been really busy. Mind you, this is in early December... I'm guessing business is down for trailer rentals this time of year. Just the way my business wasn't considered tells me this place is banking on the high-season and needs better management to sustain their business throughout the year. RV from HELL! This company has no conscience to rent us what they did. The pictures on their website were nothing like what we got. We were stuck in the middle of the desert with a disgusting, unsafe RV. Willie told us they didn't have anything else to offer us. He was supposed to talk to his boss and call me back and didn't. We paid close to 1600 for a trailer that smelled like a urinal, had mold, fungus, and no smoke detector, etc. My post would be too long to list all the problems with this trailer. Working with Willie & his staff has always been easy & leaves us feeling confident they know their trailers. They drop the trailer off early at Campland and leave on the AC so when we arrive it's nice & cool. The trailers are clean, newer, with everything in working order. Zero stars. I've been waiting to leave this review in hopes that the owner would feel remorse and contact us. We rented an RV from Travel Time for the second time. This experience was very disappointing. We could not use the RV or the facilities. We were forced to sleep in it because that was all we had. Because of that, our credit card company could not dispute the charge. The entire RV smelled like an old rancid portapotty. We contacted the company 3 times. They attempted to change the toilet. We kept explaining that the issue was not in the bathroom. The issue was in the kitchen. The gentleman laughed at us and told us that he is used to smelling it all day so he doesn't smell it. The third time we called him to come back to find the problem, He just gave us a candle and said that was all he could do. We asked for a different RV and they said they were booked for the weekend and could not help us. We also asked for reimbursement and that wasn't an option either. My kids ended up getting sick from the smell while they were sleeping. We had to cut our time short and go home. This is unacceptable for a business. We were with a group of campers who did not have this issue. It was obviously an RV they should not have been renting out. We understand things happen but the way it was handled is unacceptable for a business. read more

This was my first time renting an RV. Travel Time was a suggestion by CampLand in San Diego, where we were going with a large group. Working with Travel Time was simple and seamless. We got to CampLand and everything was set up perfectly ahead of our arrival. All that was left was to enjoy. The other families in our group marveled at the quality of RV we received, as it appeared brand new. The layout was fun and cool for the four of us. Other families who got RVs from different vendors didn't have as good of luck. I will have no hesitation renting from Travel Time in the future! read more

The unit is absolutely disgusting. It's evident you're not cleaning to cdc guidelines. There is mold in the bathroom, the windows didn't open , only 3 interior lights worked. Pieces on the blinds are missing entirely or are sticking out, the couch isn't usable due to the horrendous sag. The bathroom is the most disgusting I've ever seen in an rv rental and smells like a sewer. We could barely use it to brush our teeth it was so bad. The oven doesn't work, there are holes in the awning, which allowed rain to come through and damage some of our items. Honestly, the worst rv rental experience I've ever had. We have rented from this company before and they have gone downhill over the years. Completely unacceptable that we paid so much money for something that needs to be taken out of your fleet. I first started camping in the 1970's. The trailer we got from travel time may just have been the one I slept in. The drop off and set up was flawless. The trailer, not so much. Very worn and dated. Great selection of half broken window shades. Each window had a different type of shade and color. Cushions matched the trailer, worn out. One mattress was past discussing. Made me wish I had a dog so he would have had a suitable sleeping spot. Glad I didn't, the dog would have hated me. I should have asked more questions before renting. Live and learn. read more

Do not rent an RV from this company ever!! The RV rented had the biggest infestation of BED BUGS! My son was bitten over half of his body. What could have been a great start to vacation, turned horrific!! They did replace the RV the next day, but would only give a $200 refund of the $1,000 cost of the rental. This company does not clean or check the RV's enough to ensure they are clean and free of critters. *****UPDATE****** Since my last post, the owner has had a CERTIFIED cleaning of the RV and is cleared. We love to camp, and have always tent camped, but were planning another trip to Campland by the Bay for the Parrothead annual music fest, and decided - why not splurge a bit, and camp in style this year in a trailer. I called several trailer rental spots to compare trailers and prices, and Travel Time RV had the lowest prices by far, so we booked with them. We were very impressed with Travel Time. They were very professional, and responsive. And so easy! We gave them our campsite #, and they drive the trailer there, get it all set up, we enjoy it all weekend, and then they come back and pick it up on Sunday and drive it back to their business. Can't beat that for service! (And free delivery for Parrothead music fest patrons, too). Best of all - the trailer was incredible! We had 8 people (4 adults, 4 kids) so went with the largest one they had -- the 32' QBS Travel Trailer, and it was really cool. It had 2 bunk beds in the back to sleep 4 kids (w/ door that closed), a bathroom, separate vanity w/ sink, dining table which folded out to Queen bed; sofa, which pulled out to Queen bed, kitchenette, little bar, flatscreen TV WITH cable (not our usual camping, but kind of fun), and "master suite" at the front w/ queen bed and sliding doors that close. They set out a nice green astroturf-like "carpet" out front, and it had awnings. Couldn't have been happier. Note: it says it comes w/ pots, pans, plates and silverware, but guess you have to sign up for this for $25 extra; apparently, we didn't, bcse our cupboards were pretty bare, but that was fine. We just brought our own. You also want to bring bedding, towels, some extra toilet paper and paper towels (comes w/ 1-2 rolls), and of course your usual camping stuff. They deliver to lots of campgrounds, including Mission Bay RV Park, Santee Lakes, South Carlsbad State Beach and Silver Strand (would love to do that some time). Overall, no complaints, and I would absolutely rent from Travel Time RV again! The only problem is that now we're so spoiled, it will be hard to go back to our tent! read more

I paused at some of the bad reviews for this vendor, thinking there may be better options, but their pricing was super competitive, so I rolled the dice. These guys are rock solid! We arrived at the RV park and our trailer was parked, balanced, pop-outs deployed, windows open, TV on, and all corners freshly cleaned. They called us on day two to check-in to see if all was good and arrived for pickup at the exact time. I would highly recommend these guys. We were with multiple family members at the park who had fancy Class A RVs and new trailers, and they were all impressed at the quality and price we received for our rental trailer. They all mentioned they would recommend to other family members who do not have their own RVs to call these guys. read more

I have been a regular client over the past few years now and rented again from them this last weekend for Mother's day weekend. Upon our arrival I was so Happy to see a brand new trailers and not only that but they gave us a warm welcome as well and a tutorial on everything about the trailer and how to operate it, just in case we weren't familiar with the up to date things on it and answered any question we may of had on it. The RV we rented was definitely "well loved" and had plenty of wear and tear, but that made it so we weren't worried our kids would scrape something and cause damages. Arrived at the dealership to rent a travel trailer on a Friday and return in the following Sunday. Easy set up and technician able to explain everything in detail and answer any and all questions. Enjoyed the travel trailer over the weekend; very clean and kept in good shape. Had problem with billing but management quick to sort things out. Worst customer service ever....we have rented trailers from several companies and NEVER had one delivered with not a single amenity in it. Not a single utensil, trash bag, or even a dust pan! When I called to ask what the deal was I was told, "We do not provide any amenities.' Then, our oven was completely non-usable, they called me the day after I called (when I needed the oven) and offered to credit me for 'next time' I rent since the oven was not working. I told him I won't be renting with them again, what can you do for me today? I was told, "Nothing". Horrible response to an unhappy customer that for what we paid, the bed were not comfortable, they provided no assistance when we needed it, and they did not even care a little. Not happy! read more

TravelTime RV Rentals have made us feel right at home. We started tent camping in 1972, rented a pop up tent trailer in 1973 and, in 1976, we bought a used 1965, 16' travel trailer. Finally, in 1978, we took a trip down to San Diego and began returning every year to Campland by the Bay. We've watched our daughters grow up while camping in that little trailer for a few years. We thought about renting a larger trailer, but put it off for a while. We pitched extra tents because they outgrew that little trailer, but then we discovered Travel Time RV about 10 years ago. They made us so comfortable that we gave our little trailer to our daughter and have been renting from Travel Time ever since. We have traded up in size every couple of years and, since our daughters' families have grown, our grandkids enjoy camping in the "bunkhouse" model with Papa and me. Each have their own beds and spaces, while Papa and I stretch out on our own queen-sized bed. These well-appointed, super clean, very well-cared for RVs are just like home. A fridge, a/c, microwave, cable TV, spacious living and kitchen areas give us room to gather and spend time together. The only small problem we have ever experienced occurred with the toilet flushing a couple of years ago. It was quickly attended to by the staff of Travel Time. We've met and become friends with the helpful staff and look forward to seeing them each year. Like "right at home." read more

Rented a 29ft trailer paid over $500 for 3 nights was told I was getting a 2012 trailer. They advertise a new trailer on their website thinking that's what your getting. We received a funky old 2006. The trailer wasn't clean I had to do a scrub down with clorex cleaner/ bleach. The dining and sofa cushions were worn down and fifthy. I didn't even put our dry food in the pantries. I will never rent from these people again. I will make sure to tell everyone. read more

I was asked by Willie, to provide a Yelp review. From the beginning until the very end has been an absolute headache with this company. After providing my deposit Willie, made it extremely hard for me to make a payment over the phone. Everytime I called he would always tell me that he's very busy. Never tell a customer that your too busy to speak with them. I mean if it wasn't for customers you wouldn't have a business right? Days before our trip I noticed that none of the payments that I authorized to be charged to my account were taken. So I decided to send a cashier's check for the remaining balance. No, company will take it upon themselves to charge my account at a later date in one large sum. Anyways we arrive to our trailer, there was No! user's guide, and No! Emergency evaluation plan posted anywhere. Everything seemed fine during my walkthrough. Willie, called me prior to us getting to our destination to inform me that he provided us with their newest Model RV. Friday night the Refrigerator went out, we called that in on Saturday morning as well as at approximately 3am until a little over 5am we were awakened by an screaming alarm that took us about an hour to figure out where it was coming from? This alarms sound was screaming through the speakers of the RV. After locating the Carbon monoxide system indicator button we were able to turn it off. But...only to be awaken every 5 mins by this alarm. "Faulty Equipment" so we received little sleep. Our refrigerator wasn't repaired so our food went bad, we had to spend additional money to buy food for our last night. Willie, told us that he would give us a discount on our next rental. Nooooooo! Give me my refund now! After experiencing lack of sleep, loss of food, extra money spent for replacement of food. This company decided that we deserved a $50 refund. That was and is an insult so I called Willie, about the amount of the refund. He acted all surprised about the amount, told me that he would have someone contact me from their accounting department lol. No one has contacted me. It's been over 2 weeks and no one has called me!
