We went to Faithful and we were contacted by the shop later that afternoon, and were advised the car had a badly rusted engine cradle that was close to failure, and that it was ready to drop at any time and cause a loss of steering. We asked if they knew how much it would cost to repair, and we were told the underbody of the vehicle was too rusty to fix the issue. We were told that they were instructed by the owner they shouldn't offer to repair it and the car should be taken off the road. At the same time, they suggested the car could be sold for parting it out, and that they knew someone who might be interested. The following day, we were told that they had someone who would buy the car for parts. We were instructed to come and clean out the car, and my wife was given a $300 check, which so happened to be drawn on the business' account. A few weeks later Faithful had the car out front for sale for $4,750 along with their other used cars for sale. We were shocked, and when my wife was discussing it with the one of the owners in the office, they insisted "it's not like we had designs on your car". They only said "sorry", with no offer to make things right. We believe we were deceived by this business, who refused to repair the vehicle, but had no problem taking that same vehicle, doing the repair, all to sell to the public for over 15x the amount they acquired it from us for. We never said we were not willing to have it fixed, but were told the car was not safe, and shouldn't be on the road, so they offered only selling it for parts since it wasn't fixable. They used deceptive business practices to avoid repairing it, refused an attempt to, and cheated us out of a car we brought in to be repaired. It only took one afternoon for them to figure out it was not repairable for us, but somehow decided it was repairable for them to sell to the public for a profit. It appears the vehicle that needed to be taken off the road, is now safe enough to put back on the road in the hands of another person they sold it to.

After calling him at least 12 times the car was returned to me in the beginning of June covered in bird poop and filthy inside with a spray paint job from a can.
