Absolutely amazing experience! Brian and Aaron can get anybody financed!!!!

I purchased a 2013 RAM 1500 from Travers Automotive GMT in March 2025 with a 30-day warranty. Within 15 days, the brake system completely failed. I was forced to bring it to their affiliated garage, Premier Auto (required to keep the warranty valid). They told me the brakes had been inspected and repaired. Only weeks later, the brakes failed again. This time, they told me it was just a defective caliper. Then, just a couple of weeks after that, the brakes failed for a third time. At that point, both the shop manager Mike and the office manager Mike told me my brake pads had worn down so low they had actually "fallen off," causing the calipers to overextend and leak fluid. That explanation makes no sense for a truck purchased less than three months prior -- and one they had supposedly "fully inspected" twice already. Instead of honoring responsibility, they lied, shifted the story each time, and then made me pay $600 out of pocket for that third repair, even though the problem had never been properly fixed. Less than 48 hours later, the brakes failed yet again. During this same period, the tie rod end separated, which led to uneven tire wear and a dangerous highway blowout. I had to tow the truck to Dobbs, spend $585 on two new tires, and another $600 in electrical repairs for problems caused by a dealer-installed device and a defective key fob. Altogether, I've spent thousands in repairs for a truck that remains unsafe and undriveable. As an independent masonry contractor, I've also lost tens of thousands in business because I cannot transport materials or equipment to job sites. And to make matters worse, when I called Sales Manager Brian to ask for a solution, he literally hung up on me. When I asked him if Travers sells bad cars and doesn't care, he responded: "Yup." Travers Automotive GMT and their affiliated garage, Premier Auto, have shown a pattern of lies, deception, and negligence. They sold me an unsafe truck, failed to repair it, shifted blame, and treated me with disrespect. Their conduct has endangered me and my family and caused devastating financial harm. When the truck stopped being drivable, I had to start Ubering to work, which has caused additional financial strain and disrupted my routine. Between the repair costs, transportation expenses, and the emotional stress of watching my son lose business over this situation, this has affected our entire family. Travers Automotive GMT and their affiliated shop showed no accountability, no empathy, and no concern for the safety of the people depending on this vehicle. I purchased my Jeep from them in 2021 but from their St. Peter's location. I noticed a few months later there were small spots of paint corrosion along the doors. I complained to them for so long that they stopped responding and then they closed down. After speaking to Jeep corporate office they will cover the repairs but after a quote from the Jeep dealership that they said I had to go to, they denied the claim due to my Jeep having a warranty from Canada and they do not honor a Canadian warranty. After speaking to the dealership to let them know about this and their response was, what do you want us to do and then they said they don't know how to transfer a warranty. I told them they need to go through a broker per Jeep corporate and then send the documents to Jeep to make the necessary changes. He said I can trade my Jeep in and that's all they can do to help. I waited 5 years to finally speak with this group about being fired in 2015 for having a miscarriage while filming their commercials. I reached out to the general manager James Chadduck to see if we could sit down and talk about the real reason I was fired on 2015. Although he stated that he would meet with me on Monday 12/21 I didn't hear from him. My brand was targeted because I am a successful black carsales woman in the car industry. I personally now believe that this manager has personal issues with me. Although I have never done anything to hurt this group they have done everything to hurt my brand. I have recent scteenshots from one of their employees attacking me, my race ,my brand and my character. I offered to show the general manager however he's now not interested in meeting to get clarity on why I was fired. However, I was contacted by Thalia Lindstrom via text and email saying she "noticed" I had visited the dealership and left without a vehicle and what could they do to ear my business? I responded and said I had not visited their dealership and had not gotten photos of the vehicle I requested. Then I started getting texts from Thalia Lindstrom asking what kind of car I was interested in? I asked her to stop texting me and had to block her. beware of this place because they are out to get you. The deal I got was pretty good (because of my own bank and my credit score) however there have been many issues with my vehicle since my purchase which I totally understand that it's all my problem once I drive off the lot. However my deal was that my taxes be paid within my deal and they gave me a check 305 less than what the actual taxes are, when I reached out to my salesman he told me I would have to talk with the manager. But I could not have this conversation over the phone. So I didn't want to drive back over there because I had been consistently having to drive over there for a different issue with my vehicle hatchback which they lied about being under warranty in the first place it was not under warranty when I took it to BMW Plaza on Olive and they also believe my car was definitely in an unreported accident. Get a diagnostic done on the vehicle before purchase and not done by them. Whatever that cost pay it because they are out to fuck people over like any other car lot in the hood and that's exactly why they are there in a mostly all-black area. I should have known better because I had a new car and great credit to be dealing with a sub-par company like this one. Now after having the car 4 months I have spent 1500 on new tires cause they were bald; 700 also new back brakes; 80 on fixing the hitch and now both back taillights have to be replaced at a whopping 756 and they refuse to refund me the 305 owed to me for the taxes I had to pay out of my pocket. Ok, where to begin. I asked for info on a car & they responded. I researched them more & found some terrible reviews so I passed & I replied that I was passing. Now, nearly every day for the past 5 days they've been emailing me asking if I was interested even AFTER telling them no, I pass. So I get another email & the guy, Sean, says he's just as persistent when after customers buy their car (which honestly, scares me) practically begging me to converse with him. I again said I passed & then he replied with a snarky/rude response telling me to 'wake up' & call him. I was called to return later to sign a document and when I got there, I was told that the deal needed to be renegotiated. The owner said he would not do what he agreed to now. Purchased a vehicle from Brianna (who is very nice BTW NO ISSUE with her). Took to the dealership for a used car inspection which found the car needed 4 Tires (which they offered to replace two) rear brakes, the fender liner was damaged, and a Transmission Output Shaft seal needed to be resealed. I reported back to the dealership in which I was forwarded to Brian Taylor the sales manager. Brian is very RUDE, condescending, and was very defensive. Stated that Mercedes is going to find something wrong and it "how they make money." I was told they would however fix the issues and to bring the car to them Monday. Monday I go to their repair shop they replaced the two tires, the rear brakes, and said that the seal was not "failing" and that I have a top of the line warranty , in the event something happened, I'm covered. I usually don't sign on the dotted line until I have an inspection completed, and that was my mistake. He said, "Well, you admitted that was your mistake, I could have told you to go have it looked at first." There were a couple small scratches they said they would look at and correct, never mentioned those. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and I feel they treat certain "ethnicities" a certain type of WAY. I purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram on Feb 9 2019, one week after that the engine was squealing. I took it to their shop and was told it was my belts. I knew it wasn't the belts because before I went in i sprayed belt conditioner on the belts and it didn't work. They fixed the noise, 45 days later my car completely stop. My warranty company denied my claim to do the engine having pre-existing problems. I took it the another job and they advised me failed lifters, cam, bearings Etc. 5 Codes popped up and was told that the codes were recently cleared. My crankshaft was shot. I returned to the dealer and was told they are not responsible for anything because it was outside the 30 days given. I was sold a lemon and they know it. The sales Rep no longer works there as well. I will never recommend this company to anyone in need of a car. The shop i took it to to get fixed advised me to never to them as well. Its always someone there from GMT MOTORS complained they got screwed. I will not stop posting how horrible I was treated. The only happy ending to this story is that a month after I put 3K into this car it was rear ended on I55 and totaled...now to the review!!!!!!! Well it only took 16 months for the car you sold me to need $2900 in work done to it. I purchased a Gotta Have It Green 2013 Mustang from your dealership in 2015. I did test drive it and then made the purchase. The clutch was very stiff and I did make the observation to the sales person. When buying a manual transmission a firm clutch petal is a good sign. The next day when I had a chance to drive it for more than a test drive the car would make a terrible screeching noise when down shifting in the lower gears. I took the car back and had GTM's mechanics look at it. This car had under 50K miles on it when I purchased it. Of course GMT said well it is just a heavy clutch and you have to get use to it. It should wear in after about 600 miles. I was very skeptical and asked after 24 hours if they would just take the car back. Since I had my reservations that they were being straight with me. I have driven a 2015 Mustang on other lots and never had the clutch engagement make any noise. I was wondering if the syncros were off on the car or if someone had modified the clutch and installed it wrong. I have owned 2 other Mustangs in my life one being a 89 5 speed, so I know how to drive a manual car. I also consider myself fairly mechanical when it comes to vehicles and know when something is just not right. So I asked after less than a day with the car could they just take it back. Well they would not of course and told me that "well you bought it now it is yours" I took it to a Ford dealer and they said it felt like someone had put a aftermarket clutch in it. I then had to rev match the RPMs on the car when downshifting so the flywheel would not make that horrible sound It only took 16 months for the car to need a new clutch and flywheel to the tune of $3K. Now yes that sounds high but I paid almost 20K for the car and wanted there to be no other issues with this so Ford did the install. I will be making people aware as much as I can that my experience at GMT was very poor. The car has only had two oil changes since I purchased it and I did not drive the car hard or even every day. The rear pinion seal was also leaking in less than 6 months after I bought this car from GMT. This was covered under the Ford 5 yr 60K mile warranty. The clutch that I suspected from the first day I had the car will of course not be covered. The factory clutch was not in the car when I took it for repair at the Ford Dealership. A aftermarket cheap clutch was added to this car and it failed. The Ford Dealership replaced the cheap aftermarket clutch and flywheel and replaced it with factory standard parts. Total bill was almost 3K dollars. I plan to make many reviews of GMT in a negative light for selling me a ticking time bomb. Luckily the clutch failed when on a slow residential street. The car completely locked up and died when the clutch failed. If I had been traveling at a high rate of speed the end result could have killed someone. I have also emailed GMT and received no emails back from them in regards to this issue. Only a salesman's form letter email asking if I was interested in purchasing a car from them. They obviously did not read my email. These are the reject cars that all the dealerships do not want on thier lot....they might look pretty on the outside but what horrors lay just under the surface. On June 17 2021 I visited Travers Autoplex to see Johnathan Osborn about a truck they posted on their website June 16 2021. Johnathan Osborn was the sales guy that was working with me and was great to work with. I showed up before they even opened and Johnathan had to take me to Travers GMT Auto sales in Florissant MO to get the truck off their lot. Johnathan then let me test drive it back to travers Autoplex St Peters Mo. We wasn't able to work out a deal because Steve the manager at Travers Autoplex in St Peters Mo wouldn't let me take the pre-used $21,000plus 2013 ram tradesman 4wd truck to my mechanic at firestone to have it fully inspected and the engine tested without a credit check on me and my wife to see if we could even finance to get the truck. Which is funny because no other dealership around the area had to do that. We loved the truck and decided to have them run our credit so we can get the truck looked at. Once everything came back good Steve and I started arguing again about getting the truck looked at by firestone because firestone wouldn't be able to look at the truck till Saturday June 19 2021 which was two days way. Steve then started getting really aggressive and pushy on us to buy the truck. After I told him no I want firestone to check out the truck he started saying he wouldn't hold the truck for me and he had other people that was willing to buy the truck that day. He said other people who showed up after us at Travers GMT Auto sales in Florissant was willing to buy the truck that day and the managers from Travers GMT Auto sales in Florissant was riding his butt about it. I even have the text messages to prove that. Its funny because he never tried in front of me to call the other managers and give us time that he promised after running our credit. When my family and I was about to leave he asked me if I was putting any money down on the truck. I said yes. He then asked me for a $1000 deposit to hold the truck. which is bull crap because I've bought four cars in my life and had lots of other ones inspected before buying those four without having my credit ran or having to put down a deposit on pre-used cars. He told us straight up if he ran our credit he would allow us to take the truck to get looked at. I would never throw down $1000 just to find out the truck is no good and have to wait months to get my money back. I felt Steve was trying to dig us deeper into the process. I'm really disappointed on how we were treated and lied to. Out of all the dealerships around the area this place was the only one who asked to run our credit and a crazy deposit to have a pre-used car looked at. Steve was the worst dealership manager I've ever met in the St Peters area of Missouri. He was rude and really unprofessional. I hope this helps future people and I would highly recommend getting their trucks/cars looked at by a personal mechanic before buying from them. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Disgusting car sales company, they are the epitome of a slimy used car dealership. They pray on low income low credit score people, give them outrageous payments they know they can't make and therefore will end up being repossessed and coming back to them. THE CARSALESMAN ERIC TOLD US THAT. The buying process was a joke. Extremely sexist. The people are gross and rude. They falsely advertise cars as having extras they don't, IE they said our car had Bluetooth, it did not. We had to pay $500 out of pocket for that. When we confronted them they took zero responsibility and insisted that "some loser kid in a basement does their website descriptions so its his fault". They lie about the origination of the vehicle and ownership. We were told the vehicle had one owner and that it was from Ontario. When questioned if it was from Canada our salesmen Eric laughed and said no it's just the name of a city, like Ontario, CA. The one owner ended up being ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR. They made sure that was in super fine print, as well as its from ONTARIO CANADA. Fast forward past the arguing with the idiots who have the moral depth of an ashtray: So far since having our 2017 Jeep Wrangler on March 31 2018 we have been to the dealership 5 times. One wheel sensor had to be replaced that was literally causing the engine to shut off while driving. We had to pay for the Bluetooth they falsely advertised. The heater core was leaking and had to be replaced. And the four wheel drive does not even work. I could go on and on, but I will leave it at that. All these problems in less than a year. I'll start this off by saying i looked this company up prior to visiting. They had multiple good reviews, yet they were more so focused on Darrell. I felt comfortable so i went to purchase a vehicle from them. Darrell was great, helpful, etc. But the first issue was i was told the payment price was where i wanted it. When signing came, it jumped drastically from what i was promised. Either way, i loved the car so i bought it. I noticed it pulled a little during the test drive, but was told it's probably the roads (which makes sense in St Louis). But later on i realize i need an alignment. Then my tires go bald rapidly. Then my back brakes went out which made my rotors get groves up pretty bad. I called to talk to Aaron. Seeing how i had put just about 2100 miles in it, i didn't see how this was possible. I had only had the car for 2 months. He tells me to come up to check it out. He comes out, sees the problems, and tells me he's not fixing anything for free. His only answer was "I'll give you the parts at wholesale price". Call me a fool, but having to dump $1800 worth of work in a $22,000 car that i just bought doesn't seem to make sense. My uncle is a certified mechanic, many friends are mechanics as well. 1 of which owns a rims/tire shop. All of them said it didn't add up and they should've fixed it. But instead, me and Aaron get into a dispute over the phone, he hangs up and ignores my calls and tells me he's doing nothing to help. If that's how you treat your customers, you're in the wrong business. They're your best friend during the sale, but after you're nobody. Ultimately, if i could give less than 1 star i would. I was so excited about buying this car, and that was abruptly brought to a halt by disappointment. I will not return, nor will i recommend this place to anybody. Go somewhere where people stand behind their work with pride. I'm a chef, if a dish is sent back to me because of something wrong with it (even if i didn't notice it somehow) I'm going to do whatever i can to fix it and your experience at my restaurant. Bought my car 3/19. Didn't get my title until 6/10. Was promised touch ups. No one would return my calls about the title. For the touch ups was told to call at least 3 different numbers multiple times instead of someone just taking initiative. When I finally scheduled it was told to come in at 7am. Only to arrive and see they open at ten. Sales person quit in this time frame and came back to work. Finally got the "touch ups" done today by the place they told me I had to go to. They only did 1 touch up of the three problem areas and said I would need to talk back to the dealership. The one touch up that was done looks like crap. (Not GMTs fault I know). Talked to sales guy, who I thought was a friend for 10 plus years, only for him to tell me that making complaints online isn't going to make the manager want to work with me. I reminded him about the contract and if I needed to look into a lawyer I will because this is ridiculous. He told me to go ahead. read more

My experience with GMT was less than impressive. I provided them with permission to run my credit through their lender. Through this process they ran my credit 17 times. For those who do not understand this concept, let me say this, I received 17 hard inquiries from one visit without full consent. I decided not to move on purchasing a vehicle through them because I was less than impressed with their persuasive skills and outrageous APR% they offered. After leaving the dealership, their salesmen Rory reached out to me multiple times via call and SMS. Upon me not answering he sent me a text message stating that I need to grow some balls and man up to let him know that I was interested in purchasing a vehicle. All of this, while on the clock, to a potential customer. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone unless you have the cash, or got financing from a bank prior to your arrival. They prey on people's stupidity, and are relentless when you are smart enough to back out. read more
