I don't write many reviews, but when I do, it's because my experience was either exceptional or terrible. For me, there really isn't much in between. I'm sharing this because I hope it helps someone looking for a vehicle find a dealership they can genuinely trust. Two weeks ago, I visited another dealership with every intention of purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting experience turned into a disappointing one after I encountered what I felt was unethical behavior from both the sales and finance teams. I left frustrated and discouraged. While I needed a car, I knew I couldn't do business with a company that lacked integrity, regardless of how much I liked the vehicle. The most frustrating part was that my car search had to start all over again. Determined to keep looking, I started searching online and came across Bommarito Honda. I noticed they had two Honda CR-Vs on their website, an EX and a Touring, that caught my attention. I called the dealership and spoke with Rachel, who was friendly, professional, and transparent from the very beginning. She confirmed both vehicles were available and scheduled an appointment for my husband and me to come see them the following day. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt different. We were immediately greeted with smiles, handshakes, and genuine hospitality. The staff introduced themselves, welcomed us, and even offered us drinks, snacks, and ice cream (which happens to be my favorite!) while we waited for Rachel. It may seem like a small gesture, but it's those little things that make customers feel valued. When Rachel came to meet us, she was every bit as pleasant in person as she had been over the phone. She was prepared, organized, and had both vehicles ready for us to test drive. What truly impressed me was that Rachel wasn't just along for the ride during the test drive. She knew the vehicles inside and out. She could answer questions about the vehicle history, maintenance records, tire replacement history, and all the trim-specific features. One feature we particularly loved was lane assist, and Rachel took the time to patiently walk us through how it worked until we felt completely comfortable using it. At no point did we feel rushed, pressured, or like we were being "sold" a car. Instead, we felt like Rachel genuinely cared about helping us make the right decision for our needs. She answered every question with honesty, showed incredible patience, and most importantly, demonstrated something that can be hard to find these days: integrity. We decided to purchase the CR-V Touring and I couldn't be happier with our decision. After the disappointment of my previous dealership experience, Rachel and the entire Bommarito Honda team restored my faith that exceptional customer service still exists. I left feeling valued, respected, and confident that I had made the right choice. More importantly, I drove home in a vehicle I love, knowing I had been treated fairly every step of the way. Rachel, thank you for your kindness, professionalism, patience, and genuine care for your customers. And thank you to the entire Bommarito Honda team for creating such a welcoming and trustworthy environment. You truly made what could have been a stressful experience enjoyable, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. We just brought our CR-V Touring home yesterday, and we're already loving it. Hard to believe, I purchased a new Honda Pilot on 2/2/2018 and paid extra for an Easy Care extended warranty. I have faithfully followed Hondas recommendations for maintenance to keep policy in effect. Have car in shop now for a recall on fuel pump and advised that I've had an AWD problem show up on dash in last month. Apparently the oil pump in rear differential is failing and entire unit needs to be replaced. Easy Care will only put in a used differential. Neither Bommarito, Honda or the fluid supplier wants to help. Why a former proud area dealership would continue with a scam outfit like Easy Care is beyond me. So this is my fourth Honda vehicle, several street and dirt motorcycles, my third lawnmower and a Honda Aquatrax. Was looking to buy a Honda 420 Rancher but not now. They have lost a good customer for life. Once repaired I am trading it for a new Toyota and not from Bommarito. read more

I went into the Honda service area in Hazelwood with a problem with my backup camera not working, and maybe a potential leak in the front passenger side. My service tech was Jamie. He took me in right away and found out that indeed the camera was bad, but fortunately they had one in stock. They replaced the camera and checked out the tires and could not find a problem. I was in and out about 1-11/2 hour. I appreciate everything Jamie did for me and this is why I go to Bommarito for service and will return again and again. read more

Hubby had been searching long and hard for a reliable, well maintained SUV. He's 6'5" so he needs a spacious vehicle with ample leg room. Located a well priced and well appointed used Toyota Highlander that we purchased. Once we got the vehicle home, realized the A/C console didn't illuminate when the headlights were in use. We literally had to turn OFF the headlights in order to view the A/C console. Also, after a period, hubby felt vibration in the steering wheel. He took the car to local Toyota dealer who determined broken and loose components in the steering column. Per the Toyota dealer, this is a very rare occurrence and the suspected this damage was not disclosed to us during our purchase. Well, that sums it up. Was very patient with all my questions and give me clear communication on the maintenance reports (Make sure you request). So I take my Accord to this location for regular maintenance. They're never pushy about service or replacement parts. The waiting area is very comfortable and even has a play room for kids. It's conveniently located right off of Hwy 270 @ Lindbergh. I've had to replace a few pieces of trim in the interior and the guy behind the spare parts desk is always helpful. I recommend this location for all your Honda needs. read more

We bought a Toyota Prius from their sister store (Bommarito Toyota) and really liked our salesman, so when we were scrolling through vehicles on the Bommarito website and it showed us exactly what we were looking for at Honda, we contacted our salesperson from Toyota. Since they're sister stores, he has selling privileges at Honda as well. The whole buying process was excessively annoying and I felt like they weren't willing to work with us since our salesperson didn't actually work at their store. We bought the vehicle anyway because we loved it, and to their credit it IS a great vehicle. No complaints there. But we're still waiting for our paperwork with our title and all that. They transferred our plates from our trade-in, and our plates expired in April. We were planning a road trip so I contacted them several times and I still haven't gotten my paperwork. At this point I'm extremely frustrated and will never go to Honda for another vehicle. Since my plates are expired, I'll have to pay a fee when I do finally get the paperwork and get updated tags. If I get stopped I'll get ticketed for my expired plates. I love my vehicle. It's a shame the customer service isn't up to par. read more

After taking purchasing my car at Bommarito Honda and having it serviced their for 8 years, I consider myself a very loyal customer. You would think that the service manager Matt Fair would have a tiny little respect for that. I took my car in years ago to have them repaint my car due to a factory defect that caused the paint to oxidize extremely fast. I was lead to believe that they repainted the entire car. A few years leader I discovered this was untrue because the condition of the paint told me otherwise. I reached out to their service manager via phone, I left a detailed voicemail politely asking for his help and he never returned my call. The next time I took my car in for regular maintenance I asked one of the techs about it and he said to go talk to Matt the service manager. I walked to his office where he was sitting and knocked on his door. I knocked and said hello and he didn't even acknowledge that I was there. I knocked and said hello a little more loudly and he looked up at me as that I was disturbing him. I explained my problem to him and he proceeded to act like I was still bothering him, and he treated me like I was an idiot and that this was my fault. How dare I expect for them to take responsibility for properly fixing a recall. He said he would speak to his manager and see what he could do for me and call me back later that week. Guess what?!? HE NEVER CALLED BACK. I don't know if it's because he thinks I'm a young, dumb female, but that's certainly how he treated me and I can promise you this, I will never be returning to any bommarito dealership and I will tell every one I know about the absurd excuse for customer service here. read more

ASK YOUR DEALER ABOUT THE LAWSUIT ON THEIR EXPLODING SUNROOFS!! I purchased my 2021 CR-V August of 2021, and was not told this was an on-going issue. Today (Sep 15, 2022) on my way to work, I heard a loud POP and I thought something hit me. Nothing hit me, no rocks, no overpasses, no rocky terrain...my sunroof spontaneously combusted. I immediately went to get help, and was turned away, because I refuse to pay $1000 in damages for a FAULTY SUNROOF that was NOT my fault!! I could see the look in the staff's eyes as I was crying saying THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT and no one had the gall to tell me there was a literal on-going LAWSUIT on this issue, instead said, "well this happens if something hits it." Did their diagnostic...and wouldn't ya know, no foreign debris found. YOU KNOW WHY?!?!? BECAUSE IT SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUSTED!!! Absolutely disgusted by the lack of assistance for this. I should have posted this review two years ago. Mike Rosen was our salesperson for our new CR-V back in 2018, and was a pleasure to work with. I just ran into him (figuratively) while getting the car serviced at Bommarito, and realized I hadn't posted a review. During the shopping and sale process, Mike was honest, open and straightforward, friendly, patient, and helpful. We are probably not the funnest customers to deal with - we come in already knowing what car we want and our price limit, we pay cash, we don't negotiate, and we get quotes from multiple dealerships. Mike was totally fine with that. He gave us a competitive and straightforward quote. There was zero of the typical car sales BS like hidden/extra fees, talking to the manager, up-selling add-ons. He understood, and was totally accepting of the fact, that we were still shopping around. We visited four Honda dealers, and ultimately chose to buy from Mike even though we had a slightly lower quote elsewhere, because we trusted him. He probably would have met that price, but we didn't want to nickel-and-dime. He ended up throwing in some extras (weather mats etc which have come in really useful), without us even asking for anything, which actually made it a better deal for us. Even after the sale, Mike was generous with his time and knowledge helping set up the car and explaining things to us. If I can find one thing to criticize about Bommarito's sale logistics, it's that we wanted a new car "off the delivery truck", rather than a dealer swap, really just for simplicity. So we waited for three weeks. But when our car came in, it turned out to be a dealer swap after all. The car was in perfect shape with the exact specs we ordered, the dealer-swap paperwork was straightforward and upfront, and there was no change in price etc. So it really wasn't a problem after all. Bommarito has been great to deal with, over the past two years. They've honored their promises (free oil changes etc), do a good job keeping the car maintained, and are efficient in getting us in and out for service (I do tend to go Wednesdays early afternoon so that may help). read more

Two years gone since the review initiated and with all the motivation I could muster I'm finally finishing this draft... Went here to buy a new sedan in 2013 and the whole experience was wonderful. From the conversations prior to purchase to the test drive and the final paperwork, we were treated with patience and friendliness from every sales consultant. Sue Doyle replied my messages very promptly and provide me with all the information and explanation. It was a a great experience. The referral program is a joke. I accompanied my friend there last September for a new civic. He bought the car and was happy with the consultation with Bill Cross, who let me leave my address so he could mail the check for referring my friend. One year later, another autumn and unyieldingly hot September. Unmindful fingers randomly hitting keyboard symbols under the dim lamp, I'm surprised my brain is still eagerly idling on the compulsive fantasy. I'm still awaiting my check. read more

Do not bother going here. I went here with my husband to look at the Honda Insight. I indicated I had been looking at it and the Prius Three, but that I was more interested in the Insight. I test drove one with my husband, and when I got back to the dealership, the salesman claimed he couldn't find the key in the car. It's a push-button start car with keyless ignition, and I explained to him that I had not even seen the key in the car as he had not shown it to me before we left. He did some more looking and still couldn't find it, and he insinuated that we must have it. Long story short, he asked if we had any other questions about the car, but he wasn't even interested in answering the question I had. He was standing up and practically inching out of his cubicle. His demeanor had completely changed toward us, and when I told him this, he basically indicated if we weren't going to buy the car that day he wasn't interested in taking to us. We were going to leave at that point. However, I decided to talk to a manager first. While waiting, the salesman found the keys in the car and then talked to the manager before I could. When I finally got to talk to the manager, he was completely unhelpful and did not understand why I was upset at being accused of being a thief when I was trying to give them $25,000 for a car! He simply told me, that the keys had been found and if I didn't want to buy the car from them, no one was forcing me to. (No kidding! It had already been established that I wouldn't be buying it from them.) He completely missed the point. You don't blame customers for stealing things and then just say, "Oops, we found it." You apologize, and at the very least, you say you'll talk to the salesman so that no one else has that experience again. It was like I was in some kind of parallel universe. The funny thing is is that the test drive won me over on the Insight over the Prius. I'm looking to buy by the end of the month, but I'm not buying it from these complete idiots! read more

I need an oil change/tire rotation. I called and they said they were running at about a 1 hour wait. Drove 45 mins, arrived at 4pm only to be told they probably could NOT get me in before closing at 6pm. I asked what to do and they said we're usually slow Wed & Thu between 1-3pm. So I went back at 1pm on a Wednesday and was told it would be at least 2 hours until they could even look at my car. They call this EXPRESS service. Maybe this issue could be fixed if they let you make an appointment, but they won't. read more

I had a great experience at Bommarito with buying a pre-owned car. My first point of contact was Keith Grassi. He was very helpful in getting me set up with an appointment (same day!), which ultimately ended up being with his coworker, John Hart due to the time of the appointment. John was great! He was very transparent in the process, which was comforting for a first time buyer. I had a decent idea of what I wanted, and he didn't try to waste my time with anything pointless or out of my budget. I quickly test drove and fell in love with a car. The process with finance and closing the sale went well - they have an ice cream cooler, so having to wait a while isn't the worst thing in the world.... The next day, I had a problem with the AC, and getting it fixed was a breeze. (Jamie in the service department was super nice as well.) After going to a dealership with hardly any pre-owned cars, Bommarito blew me away. I'm a happy driver of a lovely little Civic now! I'll recommend Bommarito to all my friends and family. read more

We were very excited to try out Bommarito after reading excellent reviews and experiences from friends. Sadly, we were quite disappointed in what happened when we found a car we actually did want to test drive and potentially purchase. We had put in a request for a test drive the previous night. Which, btw, the sales person claims they never received even though our screen said "a sales person will contact you shortly". However, the morning of our scheduled test drive, both of us noticed that the price had mysteriously gone up from $21k to $22k. Not a huge jump but enough to notice and just in principal is a shady tactic. We regret not taking a picture of the price the evening before as the salesperson my wife talked to denied the price went up. Sadly, we decided at that point it was time to choose another dealer. We will be buying from another dealer and also not scheduling test drives any longer. read more

Sean Sage was my salesman and he told me it would get fixed but when I continued to call he just over talked me and in the end told me it was too late to return it! I'LL NEVER GO BACK HERE!!!! No overpricing or trying to get us to purchase add-ons to the car that we didn't need and no hidden fees, only fee was the admin paperwork fee which we were informed about online as well as when looking at the car prices so it wasn't a surprise. Bought a car through them they kept "forgetting" I already had a loan and handed me paperwork to fill out without saying anything and when I asked they said it was for a loan through them which I said multiple times that I was not going through them. I was also told that when getting my car serviced I would be able to obtain a rental... never has happened once due to the "shortage" when I finally asked if it's been like this for awhile they knew at my time of purchase that was false. I definitely liked the people here. They were friendly and fairly accommodating. I ended up buying my car from this place. The guy who sold it to me had to stay late so I could pick up the car. I really appreciated that he did that. Also, there was some financial trouble when I was getting the car loan set up. I had a good credit score, but they required 5 lines of credit and 2 years of prior car credit!!! that's a lot for a student. I needed to get my dad to co-sign it. Dad lives in TX and they were nice enough to overnight him the paperwork and include an envelope with the return address! While i was peeved with the requirements for credit, I really appreciated their service. read more
