He immediately asked me if I'd been helped (I hadn't), he looked me up and confirmed my service. Took me inside and showed me the coffee area, told me he'd have my car worked on shortly. Every time he came in for another customer he told me where my car was in the process, even when it was being washed. Came and got me to check out and kindly walked me to my car. I can honestly say it's the best service I've ever had at a car dealership and I was in and out in under 2 hours with a lobby full of patrons. They move quickly and efficiently here. Customer Service Disappointment!! They can't get you in for two weeks. I understand that in today's world we're busy with schedules but to be told that there's nothing they can do for two weeks is unacceptable. If you got any problems with your vehicle good luck getting ahold of your sales man. You have to hunt him down in person to get an answer. Bs! On top of that they ran 9 hard checks on my credit. Flipping KAMAR the salesman just messing up your credit and hangs you to the highest interest rate. i originally bought a Jetta here at the end of January 2020. At the time, it seemed like an easy enough purchase. Saw the model I wanted online, test drove, and bought the car the same day. Then the pandemic hit, and since I was switched to work from home, I didn't really drive it a whole lot. We're talking maybe 10k miles in a bit over a year. A little over a year after I purchased it, the blind spot monitor and the rear traffic alert spontaneously stopped working, for no reason (the car was parked most of the year and was not in an accident). In fact, the blind spot monitor gave me an error beep while driving down the highway. When I took it to the dealership about 16 months after purchasing it, there were some issues. First off, apparently appointments don't mean anything for the service center. They asked me if I wanted a ride somewhere because it would take them a few hours to get to my car to look at it. I live 30 minutes away, so I declined. Once they finally got to my car, it was $180 for their "diagnostic fee," and to fix the issue, they would have to replace the part, which they didn't have in stock and would cost $2000. They also provided paperwork on a bunch of other suggested maintenance issues that totaled up to over $5000. On a used Jetta. This included overpriced tire replacements for tires that had been fine when I went to a different service center for a recall a couple months before. Oh, and none of this was included under the initial warranty nor the extended warranty that I wasted my money on at purchase. So basically, either they sell bad product or their service department is running a racket as far as their suggested fixes. I didn't end up getting anything fixed and just drove home after paying the diagnostic fee. read more

They practically demand you leave 5 star reviews consistently or else, and you are forced into it I dont mind doing that until when you call your sales guy, email, leave voicemails etc to the finance department about your warranty and they refuse to talk to you. I WANT TO START OFF BY SAYING THANK THE LORD I AM STILL ALIVE . the first day i drove off the lot i went 30miles on the highway to a family member's house then 30 miles back to a pet store. i walked into the pet store and come out to a car that will not turn on so im just as confused as can be . i called the location and "craig whitfield " (the sales person at the dealership )came out to help . when he arrived after talking we concluded maybe the battery is dead so we lift the hood to see that the negative connection on the battery is BARELY TOUCHING THE BATTERY. i say that to say this . IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO SHOP HERE PLEASE LOOK UNDER THE HOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOU MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY. so i purchased a *certified 2022 volkswagen passat with 25k miles . The price of the car was 26,125 which "craig whitefish " said was the lowest they will go so he tell me the car has a warranty still with another once that expires. I think great what a deal. so long story short i take the car to a tint shop and they tell me the car windshield is NOT FACTORY, was installed incorrectly and the card had been repainted badly. (photos below) . i called and asked could a car that was not repaired correctly be a certified vehicle and i was told "NO" which means i was sold a car i was told was "certified with a "120 point inspection" but in-fact is not certifiable. so i go online to the bommarito website and see they have a 1500 mile 30day exchange policy. i would also like to mention when i went to my contract which they give you on a FLASH DRIVE NOT IN PAPER i found a warranty in my contract that was for 3000 extra which i DID NOT ASK FOR .i ONLY ASKED DID I HAVE GAP BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY EXTRA THING I NEEDED NOTHING ELES .. the car had 2 warranty i would not have wanted another or wanted to add 3000 to my finance charge so the finance guy probably adds it and if you dont catch it he just makes a little extra for the dealership. i was in a rush which im sure he counts on to pull his plan off . . also some how you have to get reapproved for another car with a car already on your credit within 30days to take advantage of that 1500 mile 30 day exchange deal) so i ask if i cant get re approved can you AT LEAST FIX THE WINDSHIELD THAT IS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, check underneath the badly painted panel for more damage and give me a check for 3-4000 because they sold this vehicle as if it has never been in a accident and the value would have been completely different had the car had a accident on the record. (THIS IS BOMMARITO THEY SELL 100 cars a month at least and you cant make a few repairs and spare 3500? goodness how greedy do you need to be . )The car also use to be a rental so i think someone rented the car got in a accident and fixed it a little then took it back . because if you get in a accident in a rental car it will be a insurance claim and it will pop up on a carfax unless you fraudulently fix it yourself and take it back . what hurts the most is " CRAIG whitfiled" CAMe out saying"yea i know how they do us (black peoples) ima take care of you make sure you get a good deal" THEn HAD THE NERVE TO SAY "from a legal standpoint we did nothing wrong" . Tim, the Parts Mgr, went above and beyond! My ID.4 needed a new tire and one was ordered from Bommarito and installed at the mechanic's shop where it had been towed. After struggling for a few weeks with error messages, I took it to a closer dealer and they discovered that the replacement tire was the wrong size. It took several days for the tire to come in so a loaner car was rented. When we explained all of this to Tim, he asked us to send him the paperwork and he'd review with his management. Not only did they cover the costs of the replacement tire, but also the loaner and a small amount extra to cover our trouble. Very pleased that Bommarito made this right! read more

I took my car in it took a week to find out what was wrong. I paid $2100 to get it fixed. Six months later the same thing breaks down. Got a new diagnostic on my car. Showing the same items I just paid to get fixed. Call bommarito have to wait 3 weeks and pay 211 for diagnostic again. Ok up date on my experience after 2 weeks of having my car the clutch went out now sence its a mini and not a vw they are sending it to mini to get it checked out communication on this portion has been lacking. FYI: I just purchased my vehicle from another dealership and I can say the difference is 100%. I really wish I had purchased from here. Everyone was very friendly and acknowledged our presence upon entering the building. Chris's customer service is impeccable. Chris was very personable, listened to our concerns and worked with us to get us the best deal possible. Her great customer service and expertise is a great asset to this dealership. She kept us within the budget we wanted to spend and answered all our questions. It really helps when someone can make you feel at ease and not make you feel pressured. I was interested in buying their 2019 VW Beetle Convertible Final Edition last week, I had been in talks for several days about my 2019 VW Beetle Convertible S as a trade. I had scheduled an appointment for last thursday at 11am to see the Final Edition and for the dealership to look over my trade . I drove for nearly 2 hours to get to my appointment when at 10:35am I receive a call from the salesman that he was sorry that he just learned that someone had put down a deposit on it and was no longer for sale. . I drove home very disappointment by this lack of integrity in JUST FINDING OUT , This week I noticed that the Final Edition was still there and got somewhat confirmation it was still available. I also noticed that the information on the Beetle changed from Final Edition to a S model. The dealer just determined that they were advertising the wrong model for over 70 days. No one contacted me to tell the truth about the situation. Again, a lack of integrity and attention to detail by the dealership . My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at VW Hazelwood. We have gone through many cars over the years, some financed, some leased, some here in MO and some in CA, and this one hands down takes the cake. My husband had been in contact with Jason via email about a VW Atlas. He sent Jason all the numbers broken down and the math on it all via email, because we didn't want to go in and waste any ones time if we couldn't make a deal. Jason was able to get us in on Halloween at 6pm to make our deal happen. We walked into the door at exactly 5:57pm and we walked out with the keys in our hand at 7:00pm. FASTEST car sale and experience ever. Jason was awesome to work with. He was straightforward and honest. He made the process incredibly smooth and easy. I would highly recommend working with him. The finance process was flawless. We were in and out in 5 min. The finance manager had a huge screen on his desk and everything was done electronically. It was beautiful, I couldn't get over how simple it was to sign everything. The finance manager was great to work with even if we were only in each other's company for 5 min. We love our new vehicle and we loved the experience. My experience was good. I am very unemotional when buying vehicles. I find what I like, i do the research before I go test drive, I make sure it's within my means and will check all of the boxes that I need. That being said, the car I wanted a white 2020 Tiguan SE with the R Line trim (black wheel package). They had sold out in the Kansas City metro and outlying suburbs. I found that the closest dealership to me was going to be a 3.5 hour drive. I called Monday AM. The receptionist asked if I was working with a sales rep, I was not. She put me in to Andy. We exchanged pleasantries, he sent photos, I sent the information he needed for my trade in. Basically starting the process at 10 am, driving to STL and leaving the dealership at 9 pm, I was in the car I wanted! Home by 2 AM. Did I mention that I had my 3 year old and 5 year old with me? Andy answered all of my questions, was friendly and professional. The sales room is clean and welcoming, perfect to keep two little people distracted . Snacks, water, and a cool vintage bus and beetle. Before I left, he asked if we would like some chocolate chip cookies. I thought he was joking. This weekend we get a package with some incredible choc chip cookies!! My boyfriend is in the market for a new car and we will most likely make the pilgrimage (this time renting a hotel room!) read more

I just bought a pre-owned 2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI from Bommarito VW and must say that I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Jason Kresko, the salesperson who handled my purchase, was a pleasure to deal with and made the car buying process as easy as it could be. I got a fantastic deal on the car and am quite pleased with it. I flew in from the DC area to pick up my car on a snowy Friday evening. (My flight was supposed to arrive in the early afternoon but I got bumped from my flight and ended up arriving in St. Louis just past 6 p.m. local time.) Jason was waiting for me in a Volkswagen SUV at the St. Louis airport with bottled water. He and I handled the paperwork / minutiae efficiently. I handled financing through LightStream, so there wasn't a ton to discuss. We settled on the price ahead of time and true to Jason's word, that was the exact price I paid. Eric handled the finance paperwork efficiently, and within an hour or so, I was all done. In summary, I'm really happy with my VW TDI and the great deal I got on it. This was my first time using Bommarito for service. I had dropped off my Jetta to have three door locks repaired. I paid for the service and when I checked my car both back door locks still didn't work. I had to leave the car for another two days. Second attempt to get it fixed had me paying more for two more door locks and then getting to my car to find out one back door wouldn't open. They wanted to keep the car over the weekend to fix however I couldn't do that as my daughter needed to go back to college. I spoke with Chris who said he is the head guy over the Bommarito dealership services in St. Peters. He told me to call him when she got back from college and that they would give me a loaner car and also detail her car when I brought it back. So I call Chris and get his voicemail. I leave a message and waited 24 hours with no call back. No biggie, we all get busy. I scheduled my appointment online and even put down about the loaner car and the detail to my car in the service notes. I got a loaner car as promised. The car was nice, but it was dirty because they hadn't had a chance to clean it. Again, no big deal. I picked up my repaired car and everything worked, but it hadn't been detailed at all. All the did was run it through their car was. No dry and bugs till on the windshield. I don't like giving negative reviews, but this Volkswagen dealership service department has some serious quality assurance issues. I called the main Bommarito number and I am still waiting a call back to find out why they would promise me a free service and then not do it. read more

I was so excited to write this review. We bought our new Touareg here and LOVED that experience....Then today I feel like the curtain was pulled back and the truth revealed. Brought it in for some work that THEY needed to correct. I brought my 2 year old son with me and they said "if it is going to be longer than an hour we will give you a loaner." AWESOME right??? NOPE. 45 minutes later they said I was done and my car was getting washed....Apparently a wash takes 45 minutes. My wife and i had waited patiently for 10 years to buy a new car. After much research and testing many different brands we chose a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas from Bommarito Volkswagen of Hazelwood. We bought our Certified Pre-Owned 2018 atlas January 20, 2020. We drove it home that night all excited, however when we drove the kids to school the next morning, less then 5 miles, the check engine light came on. We immediately took it to the dealership and a week later we got it back. They had to put on a new Catalytic Converter,(mind you the day before they put on new Head Gaskets. We picked the car up around 9AM that morning, ran some errands and by 3 pm the car completely shut down and was stuck hanging halfway out of my driveway and street blocking traffic. We waited 4 hours for it to get towed to the dealership. A week later they replaced the starter, alternator and battery. We got the car back the morning again and went to pick up kids from school, this time the car shut down in line and had to be pushed to a back parking lot. My wife and son are in the car and gas fumes are engulfing the cabin. i open the hood and see gas shooting everywhere. my family jumps out of the car and i find that a hose was not on properly. After being soaked in gas, i was able to get the car to the dealership again, which is where the car is currently at and will permanently stay. with more research i found that the car was bought at an auction and had a new engine put in it. i did not know this at the time as the car fax did not reveal this and neither did the dealership until after the 5th issue. I'm reviewing and writing this because of all of these repeated issues,lack of clarity and disclosure of the cars history. My hope is that the dealership makes this right and replaces this with a newer model with no issues, so my next review can be positive. read more
