We used to get take out from here very frequently, always the same items because they were so good. After we could return there after COVID-19, we were thrilled! So last week, we wanted comfort food after a family tragedy. We ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, and Moo Goo Gai Pan. About $30+ which surprised us. But, we couldn't wait to dig in! This was the worst meal I have ever tasted! The Moo Goo sauce, normally thick and flavorful, was thin and completely transparent. NO flavor whatsoever! I ate the carrots and tossed the rest. I've never done that before in my life! The hot & sour soup was much the same... I even added a lot of rice to it, plus salt & pepper, but it was beyond help. I love tray ting especially their Beef lo mein. Their egg rolls can sometimes be overcooked but mostly it's great place to eat.

The place may be small but the food is large in taste. It's amazing quality for a great price. I 100% recommend coming here.

We are locals who both used to live in large cities. We miss good restaurants and variety so we held our breath the first time we got take out from here. Hoped news is that the food wasn't bad! The atmosphere in the restaurant leaves much -everything- to be desired. It is a restaurant geared to take-out, clearly. Families with children will feel relaxed here, as there are no fancy airs or decor. The portions are quite generous and their menu is very diverse. There are five of us at times and there is something for even the pickiest eater! Special orders don't phase them at all - no mushrooms? No problem! Add water chestnuts? Okay! Something I need to mention: the staff are Asian and some of the order-takers are nearly impossible to understand. They are clearly used to being asked to repeat themselves. Another thing is that the person answering the phone talks very fast. It's okay to ask them to slow down if you can't understand them. Nothing seems to annoy them. Whenever I visit the area I make sure I eat here at least one night while I am in town. I live in the DC area and have eaten at many upscale restaurants. Granted, no ambiance, no credit cards, but I always get to the food to go and it tastes great. Good portions for the price and the flavor is always spot on. I always come back. read more

This is a local Chinese restaurant. They have some good food. The bath room does seem to need attention. The owners are Chinese and have difficulty with English at times. In the winter months the restaurant is cold inside. So if you go there in the winter you might want to get it to go. But it is good food. read more

Horrible! I came here while in town for business. I was in the mood for Chinese and relied on the reviews from here that say this place is a pleasant surprise. I can get over a little cleanliness issues in the dining room if the food is worth it. I ordered the Pepper Steak with fried rice and egg roll. The sauce on the steak was more like a home style brown gravy, the rice was very apparently old and not flavorful at all, and the egg roll tasted like nothing but grease. I ate as much as I could, as the person who took my order and brought my food didn't bother to stop by and ask how the food was. How anyone says the food here is good is beyond my comprehension. Then, I go to pay with my corporate card and she advises me that they only take cash. She said there is a sign on the door, but there is not. (I am sitting in front of the restaurant as I write this.) It is 2015 and you don't take a card for payment? OK, whatever. Thankfully I actually had cash on me or I'd have been SOL. BUT the worst part is that I waited until after I ate and paid to visit the restroom. The cleanliness issues in the dining room can be attributed to maintenance, water spots on the ceiling, peeling walls, etc. But the restroom is nasty! Has anyone noticed that light switch that is completely black with grime? There is a sign that employees must wash hands before returning to work...but after they wash they have to touch that light switch! Also, the water in the restroom does not even get warm, and the temp has to be at least 100 F to be effective for hand washing. I have been in more than my fair share of restaurant kitchens, and I can tell you if they don't clean their restrooms, you don't even want to imagine what they don't clean in their kitchen. Bad food, bad service, and nasty facility. I will go to the Subway next door the next time I'm in town. Crossing my fingers now that I don't end up sick later.... read more

We love the House Lo Mein and the Young Chow Fried Rice. We eat here about once a week which is a lot for us. My friend comes from Huntington, WV and he says it's the best Chinese between here and there. No credit cards, but plenty of good Chinese food. read more
