TRE carries limited quantities of each piece and that makes it feel more upscale. Sexy fun clothes rich with a range of patterns and textures don't come cheap. Expect to pay to play here. Standout pieces like this are the foundation of a great wardrobe. The staff are a little more aggressive here than I like. They are trying to be helpful but a lot of people like to shop in peace. When they ask me a question like what are you looking for I have to bite my tongue. My first response is "I see you and will ask you if I need anything, ok? That puts me in the position of feeling like an asshole. But despite the overly eager sales staff, Tre carries a lot of great pieces. read more

I like this store. They carry pieces you can't find just anywhere. They are a bit pricy but they carry high quality brands like Hale Bob so I feel their selections are worth the price. My sister shops here exclusively. I'm ALWAYS asking her where she bought her dress, top, jacket, etc and it's always Tre. I think the ladies that work here are very nice. I had a very good experience here. After a 6 hour visit to UTC Department stores, finding nothing for my figure, I found 6 dresses here I wanted. They have a good selection of figure hugging dresses that I couldnt find anywhere else. ( with exception to Nicole Miller). I enjoy not having to deal with the "Mall" and Im willing to pay a tad bit extra for the convenient location. Also they carry SKY tops which I absolutely love. I met the owner and she is fabulous. I went in on another day where a Polish woman helped me. She was very good at pointing out the best dress for my body and seemed to be able to pull a dress for my specifications. read more

Today, Saturday July 1, 2017, they get 2 stars because I walked in without getting a greeting form either of the 2 sales people working. Then I walked around the store twice, looking through the racks, without any content from them. I was generally looking for cocktail wear for the holiday. Then I went back through to look for a cocktail jacket that would go with LBD. There were 2 other shoppers, one in the dressing room. I left after 15 minutes... Without a good bye... Shame on Tre and her employees. Owner is rude and her employees........ruuuuuuude! I dont "look"wealthy so I was treated sub-class; EXTREMELY! however, these women are a complete disgrace! I work in The Forum and on my way to my car in JUNE 2012 I saw a dress in the window; thought might be nice for my next Hawaii trip. however, as I went into the store I said I was on my way to my car and had to pick up my daughter from school and was late and I said I didn't have time to try it on in the store but if it didnt work she said no problem. The bill was $378.. On a dress I never tried on. I got home and it didn't fit so tried to return it within their few days return day policy and she told me no refunds.' I never would have bought it if they would have told the "return" policy. Now I am stuck with a gift Card i Will never use! She treated me like I was dirty and not worthy in their store. Why? This bitch, now this is the good part: comes into "my"store and demands over the top customer service......which of course! thats what we do!!! i helped her cordially and with a smile on my face and she announces to me that she is from Tre and I had better help her figure out what she wants..and of course, she "was in a hurry". She was so condescending, demanding ang god forbid anyone else in the store, she was rude again to me in my own store! Later that day, she came back to return items she was so carefully prepped to buy...and wanted a refund at a discount with her 10% mall discount in addition. Snotty, snotty, snotty! I've been in this store several times and the staff is just dreadful. I obviously do not pass their visual credit check in my jeans & flip-flops, so they don't even bother to say hello! Even though I like some of their lines (like Hale Bob), I will not buy from this store. read more

I agree with the other reviews. I'm reluctant to enter Tre because of the snotty attitude. The younger sales associates are very helpful, but the more senior ones have an attitude. The clothes are, for the most part, upscale and boutiquey......and pricy. I've bought a few nice things, but would definitely buy more if they would lose that pretentious "you-don't-look-as-though-you-can-afford-much" air that permeates the place. read more

I rated it 2 stars because the clothing is pretty unique and they have other useful products such as jewelry, past-on bras and Spanx. HOWEVER, I totally agree with some of the other comments about the staff. The woman that waited on me treated me as if I were some homeless person coming in off the street. I was dressed in smart casual and had never been in the store. There were other women in the store that were sloppily dressed, but they had lots of money evidently because they were buying quite a few things. Their prices are so-so, some of the really unique pieces were priced $200 or over, which I thought was really high for what it was. I bought a couple things, but did not like the way I felt when I was there. Too bad because I think the staff is knowledgeable - they just don't know how to treat people. They should realize that one never know who is a multi millionaire.....could have been the blonde in shorts and top the other day who won't set foot in there again. read more

My all-time favorite store... I've been to all three locations. I always find more than I should buy... Have never had a problem finding things I love here!! Felicia at the newest store is wonderful! Whether I just want to poke around or I am in need or some fashion guidance, I am met with attentive service and offered a diverse selection of clothing with a wide range of prices. My friends and family are amused by how often I am stopped and asked, "Where did you get that dress (or blouse or vest or necklace)." I have found a new friend. I found them to be very helpful. I love their unique classy fashions they carry. The trick to having a good sales person in any store when shopping for clothing is to look for a clerk that has your similar height, age etc. so they can better understand your dilemmas about clothing. On two of my visits I was previously on a convertible ride with no makeup and I must say I looked frazzled. They were very helpful and pleasant and didn't seem to mind my appearance, bringing me item after item to try on as I stayed in the dressing room. Maybe because I had a daunting husband with me might have also helped my service. ? When shopping for nice clothing, you do have a better chance of liking the pieces on yourself if you look as you would when going out wearing these items. I believe you can't judge a book by it's cover. Even when I was at Nordstroms buying shoes, with a bulging wallet determined to not walk out empty handed. I too, have been over looked from sales clerks if I'm not dressed like I have money. I guess that part is a given. If I were a salesperson, I would look for the more affluent customers also. After all they are there to make their living not waste their time on what they think are the look-e-lou's. read more

My wife found this boutique last summer. She had a terrific experience with staff that took time to find things that fit her figure and harmonized with her coloration. She recently brought me along on return visit and I, like she, were impressed by the casual stylishness of the clothes and the skill of the staff in picking out perfect things for her. While she was trying things on, I watched as they greeted and treated customer-after-customer hospitably and helpfully. This is a great store for grown up women who are looking to add some style to their wardrobes without breaking the bank. Despite having bought a dress, 2 tops and a jacket, all of which are essential parts of my wardrobe, I wish I could get more enthusiastic about Tre. I've been to this branch in Carlsbad as well as the branch at Flower Hill in Del Mar with pretty much the same results - great clothes, shame about the staff. True, I wear my jeans/shorts, t-shirt and no makeup on my visits as i hate to dress up to shop, so maybe I don't look as though I'm about to drop a few hundred $$ on clothes, but you do get overlooked a bit in favor of folks they obviously enjoy chatting to. It's happened not once but three times, so this isn't sour grapes about one visit. However, the interesting clothes keep dragging me back, despite my reluctance to dress up before I visit them. read more

Shopped here last year for the first time and although the prices seemed high I was pleased with my purchases and found the staff helpful so I went back this year (3/31/11) when I needed a cute date night outfit. The sales girl was very helpful and I purchased two really cute dressy halter tops, a white bolero sweater, and some really cute earrings for just over $300 total. Unfortunately, while hanging the white bolero sweater (~$60) up at home I noticed it had light grey staining on one sleeve and inside the back. So I immediately took it back. It was the only medium in their store and I couldn't get a refund because of their exchange or store credit only policy so the sales clerk took a damp sponge and tried to rub it out and then tried to convince me it wasn't very noticeable now but it looked to me like the sponge had only smeared it. She then asked me to take it home and try to "Shout" it out but I did not feel comfortable trying that so she called the Del Mar location and said they would have a medium brought over and that they would call me so I could pick up the next day. By 2pm the next day, I was still waiting so I called the store and was told that the Del Mar sweater had been brought over and was waiting for me to pick up. When I got there they had the sweater in a bag wrapped in tissue with a piece of paper stapled to the bag with my name and "paid in full". I thanked them and went to my car where I opened the bag and unwrapped the tissue to be sure this one did not also have any staining. I was stunned to find it was the original sweater. The smeared staining on the sleeve was a little more faint as if the sponge method had been attempted again but the staining on the inside of the back went unnoticed and the price tag still had my initials on the back (I mark price tags at home as I compare my receipts and subtract my purchases from my budget to keep track of my spending). I went back into the store and confronted the manager who seemed shocked the stained sweater was given back to me. She called the Del Mar store and found the medium had never been brought over. She appologized and offered to pick it up herself so I could come back to get it. I felt it would save time so I drove to Del Mar myself to get it which is the last time I ever plan to step foot in one of the Tre stores. read more

I wouldn't shop here again.. I shopped their on 2 occasions. I bought 3 blouses, spent $250 and I got home. Took tags off and found a tiny hole in one of the shirts! I didn't even wear it. They refused to take it back and only offered to repair it. This is what you get when you shop at one of the boutiques, never again. Plus I hand wash all my designer clothes and these clothes don't even keep their shape to boot!.. Waste of my money read more

My absolute favorite boutique. The customer service is fantastic, its like having a personal stylist. The clothing choices are excellent and I can rarely leave without an awesome new find. I have been in this boutique several times and treated well. Of course, the prior times I've been dressed, in what would probably be considered upscale. Today, I went in, somewhat informally, I was looking forward to purchasing something for myself as it was the first day, I had been out, after a somewhat difficult surgery. So, to say the least I wasn't looking my best. I was treated so rudely by the sales person...absolutely down right mean. Could not believe the difference, from the time before. I was fully prepared to make a purchase, today. Was looking forward to treating myself to something new. Had she been even civil I more than likely would have spent a fair amount, but with the treatment I was given...I walked out. Nor, will I ever step foot in either one of their shops again. Almost felt like they should be on one of those hidden camera shows. Was such despicable treatment. Perfect example of shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. read more
