LOLO is a cute boutique on Encinitas' main drag. My friends brought me in after a late lunch and I could not believe that I had never noticed LOLO. I fell in love with this little store at first sight. Their whimsical lines of clothing are perfect for a day at the beach, summer cocktail parties or even outdoor carnivals. Every garment has a fun twist on normal. I ended up finding not only one but two super cute shirts right before I went on vacation and I wore them for my entire trip. I like to buy wearable clothes, not couture that stays in your closet, but the items that are always in the hamper. The prices are pretty modest, but some of the items are not too well made either. One of the shirts that I bought 3 weeks ago is missing two of it's buttons and has a small hole already. Granted I wore it about 5 times in the 4 weeks that I have owned it, but if you really love something at LOLO buy two! LOLO is a fun store where you will find clothing that you will wear. read more

Stopped by there today around lunch time. Walked in wasn't greeted by the 2 ladies working (there was only 1 other lady in the store shopping). Brushed it off and browsed the shop. Found a couple of items to try on, not once did either of them acknowledge us. I asked for a dressing room, she was incredibly rude with her response. I was having trouble closing the dressing room curtain and asked for some help she responded with "what do you need" in the most insulting annoyed tone. I was so offended and felt so unwelcome that I told my niece we are leaving. Awful awful costumer service. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when the snooty ladies told her she wasn't welcome in their store. Learn how to run a business ladies and treat customers kinder. read more

I've shopped here a few times and usually find one or two things. Last week I stopped by at 4:40 because I needed to return a pair of pants that fit when I tried them on in the store, but after wearing them for about 30 minutes when I got home, I realized they stretched out too easily and too much. I walked up to Azalyn, the girl at the counter (she told me her name when I was leaving) and told her I needed to exchange. She looked at my pants and told me they were 2 days past the exchange date but that she would do it for me. She told me she was closing in 20 minutes so I hurried and pulled a few things to try on so I could have something to exchange. I didn't find anything so I went back up to the counter. It was about 4:55. She then proceeded to tell me she had called her manager and since they didn't carry the pants anymore, she couldn't do the return. Nicely, I told her, "Oh, I just saw the pants in here." She shook her head and said something like, "No you didn't." So I went to the rack and pointed them out. Then she turned to face the computer and said, "Well, the computer isn't letting me do the return." The entire time she seemed aggravated and impatient. While she tried to find out what the problem was, I walked over to look at some clothes. When I reached my hand out to touch, she looked up and snapped, "Please don't touch those." What???? We actually got into a little hissy fight about it! I couldn't believe how rude she was. I asked her if I had done something to upset her. She said no, she just finished straightening them. So I said fine, can I at least look at them? Yes, but please don't touch them. I'm frankly shocked at this person's behavior and hope that the manager, Lauren, realizes very soon that this girl has no business running a store and that she's actually costing her business by her disrespect to paying customers. And I never exchanged the pants. read more

Great boutique for ladies on the 101 in downtown Encinitas from high school to women in their late 30s. Very fashionable and trendy items at a decent price point - I got a crop top and a denim sun dress for $100 total, tax included. They have multiple ready to wear options along with accessories, purses and even shoes. They have dressing rooms so you can try on your items before purchasing them. The quality of the fabric is decent but a great option for more reasonable and trendy pieces for your wardrobe. read more

Obsessed with this place! I've basically visited every week this last month-which isn't too bad on my pocket book as the styles are reasonable prices, trendy, and yet still well made. I've gotten a few maxi skirts-I love that the set up is color coordinated-there's unique handbags, jewelry, and the stock rotates regularly. There's a nice lady there who seems very helpful and friendly and knows the stick well-she's helped me pick out a few things and a gift for a friend. The parking is fairly nightmarish, be forwarned. This is for the La Jolla location. They don't have their own yelp, and I think I can see why. Based on their website, it looks like the same owner, so I'm posting here. I bought a purse at Lolo and the first time I used it the strap broke. Upon closer inspection they sold me a purse that was missing a metal piece that keeps the strap attached on one side. When I went to return it they wouldn't take it back because it was more than 15 days ago- no return, no exchange, no store credit - nothing. Since they sold me a broken product, that seems highly unreasonable. Finally she called the owner who agreed to take it back, but only for store credit (and apparently they NEVER give refunds, so buyer beware). The whole time the sales associate was not even a little bit sympathetic or helpful. I don't live nearby so it was a now or never situation. So they had me angry shopping for something I didn't need just so I wouldn't be out the price of the purse. Customer service is severely lacking at this store. I won't be back. read more

I have never been treated so poorly by a store before. I tried to make a purchase over the holidays. There system crashed and I ended up spending an hour and 1/2 in the store. My credit card was charged 4 different times for the purchase and my bank card once. The store owner reassured me it would all be taken care of. It's now 1 month later and it's still not resolved- she is blaming my bank and refusing to refund me. Said she needed proof that I was charged. I gave her my personal bank statement but she still refused to offer me any kind of refund - store credit - or check. I tried calling her several times to work things out but she ignored my calls- all communication was via text message. They use very old software- so FYI bring cash or you just might end up paying triple for your purchase this happened at the Encinitas location. read more

I stumbled upon this store a few weeks ago, and am kicking myself for not knowing about it sooner. The girl at the counter was super friendly and helped me pick out a few tops to go with a skirt I was looking at. I ended up buying a maxi dress and I get compliments every time I wear it. The prices were really good for the quality of their products. The only bummer is that they only do store credit for refunds. I'll definitely be back here! Updated with dress pics. I just discovered this place - guess it's only been around for about 6 weeks. They had a great rack outside of couture type clothing on clearance. I got a sweet pair of trendy wool shorts for only $10. I didn't spend too much time looking at the regular priced items inside because I was in a hurry, but it looked like you could probably find something that struck your fancy if need be. They had a small selection of costume jewelry - the big gaudy, most have, necklaces, etc. The woman who was working there seemed bored. I told her I was looking for some cute shorts for my November trip to Maui and she made sure to tell me they were winter shorts. I felt condescended to. They also had a mailing list, and I saw some names on it (2 names), and she did not ask me if I wanted to add my name to it. We spoke about the store just opening, so I would think she would want to offer people to be on the list to be reminded of the place or get a great deal or SOMETHING! Anyway, it seems like they have decent stuff, but I probably won't be back just because of the trendy, stuffy, lackluster old lady at the counter. read more

Terrible customer service. I had asked the sales associate for a few pointers as to where things were and she totally blew me off. I tried to call management and got some vague response that they don't have management. I hope what happens to just about every other crappy clothing store in Encinitas happens here: it closes down. I just walked into the Encinitas location at 5:56pm while I still see an associate wrapping up a customer at the register. (Yes I'm aware you close at 6pm but I was just next door buying a bikini and have never been in before so I wanted to do a quick lap around the store, didn't even touch any product just scanned). Not to mention the doors were still open so why wouldn't I have walked in? The Customers the associate was helping leave and associate comes up to me and says "hi I'm closing so...." and doesn't finish her sentence, basically insinuating that I need to leave and starts scooting me out the door. So rude and unprofessional. The girl working on 11/28/18 night shift in Encinitas should be fired. You should learn how to work in retail. Small businesses in this area need to thrive and if that means letting one last customer needs to shop, let her shop to make the sale. Otherwise don't work in retail. The Owner should be aware if they didn't meet their sales goal for the day it's probably bc their poor staffing. Won't ever be back in. Btw from what I saw, the clothing looked cheap, tacky and crap I would never wear. Good luck small business! read more

Super cute & trendy, yet adult appropriate (no woman over 30 wants to be wearing something from Forever 21) clothes that are affordable and for the most part well-made.
