This is an excellent Italian restaurant in Todos Santos. I am from Italy, and I tend to be rather critical of Italian restaurants abroad (in fact, I do normally avoid them). My husband and I were looking for a good espresso in the early afternoon, after a rather disappointing try at another Italian outfit in town (Restaurant Santa Fe, extremely overpriced, coffee not particularly good, but you will pay about six US dollars for it!). We sat outside and ordered our espressos, which were priced normally and in fact good. I ended up chatting with the Italian owner's son, very friendly guy. We decided to go back for lunch the next day, and what a great lunch we had!! The chef (the owner) presented me with fresh (in fact still alive) local lobsters, and I got pasta (spaghetti, homemade) with lobster. The pasta was outstanding, the lobster sauce was outstanding, the flavors were so right, so fresh that I could not have been more satisfied. The chef cracked open the entire lobster, pulled out some of the meat for the sauce, while the rest of the lobster pieces were left on top of the pasta for me to enjoy. Amazing amazing dish. We had an excellent bottle of Chardonnay to go with the meal, great wine from the valley of Guadalupe, very reasonably priced. My husband enjoyed a calzone, with a Mexican" twist". They prepare their pasta fresh each day, and they use a proper wood oven for their pizzas. We will go back any time we return to Todos Santos. Not only the food is outstanding, but the service is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. Beautiful courtyard in the back. read more
