Dr. Guymon's office is AWESOME! Two of my children needed to get braces and I spent a good deal of time finding the perfect orthodontist. After 4 or 5 consultations with other orthodontists, I went to see Dr. Guymon. The office is conveniently located across the street from Meridian Middle School. The office is super fun! They have a small arcade with video games from the 80's that you can play while you are waiting for your appointment. There are phone chargers in the waiting room for just about any phone. They even have a step & repeat that you can use when taking a selfie! Next to the step and repeat is a question of the month. When you answer the question you are entered into a drawing for different prizes (gift cards, for example). Once your kids are done with their braces Dr. Guymon gives you a delicious gourmet caramel apple & you get to sign the wall. The walls in the treatment area is covered with writing from everyone who completed their braces treatment. It's super cool! Another nice bonus is that they have a soft serve ice cream machine & the kids (and parents) are able to grab an ice cream cone on their way out when their appointment is done! I wish I could give this place a 0. The Dentist seems to only hire "hot, young" girls who don't really know what they are doing. Let's face it.. the staff sucks. They don't have any patient care and make you feel stupid for asking any type of question. This is the last place on earth that I would recommend to anyone seeking dental care. Guymon Orthodontics took over another established practice in the Valley. There was NO communication with patients of the acquired practice resulting in a very confusing patient experince for my teenage daughter. Additional conversations made it clear that current patients were not a priority for the new ownership. We are taking our business elsewhere. read more

It feels weird being the first person to not write a stellar review. It looks like (and from my experience) if I had had Dr Guymon the entire time, I would have also left a 5 star review. Instead, I had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Morris for my retainer fitting. That man has no business dealing with people, let alone children. I contacted Guymon Orthondotics after my retainer of 12 years broke. It contains two of my front teeth, and one of the teeth broke off, so I fixed it temporarily with superglue. The initial visit went well...I wasn't actually seen by the doctor (not sure which one it was), for 45 minutes after my appointment time, but I guess that's to be expected. Once they took the mold for my retainer, I was in and out. When I came back a week later, the assistant showed me my new retainer, and immediately I knew there was a problem. My old one (and my new current one, once they fixed it), has very little metal. This is something I have in my mouth all day. I eat with it, drink with it, talk with it, etc. It is very much apart of my mouth. It appeared that the people who made this first one assumed it was something that didn't need to be worn all the time (with the two front teeth attached...not sure how they came to that conclusion). I expressed my concerns to the assistant, who was incredibly sweet, but in the end had not control over the situation. Then comes in Dr. Morris. The assistant and myself relayed my concerns about the metal clasps that were essentially over my back teeth with this retainer, and Dr. Morris just brushed me off. I tried the retainer on, and expressed my concern that my left side teeth were hitting the retainer and it was uncomfortable. He took a glance inside my mouth and told me I was wrong, that the retainer was fine. Look dude, I've had metal in my mouth since I was 7 (now 30), I know what should feel right, and that wasn't it. This is also just one of 4 retainers I have in my mouth at any given time (2 permanent, 1 I wear and night, and this one) so I know what to expect. When I told him I was also worried about food getting stuck in the extra metal pieces, he told me I shouldn't eat with it in, and to take it out. Um, my TEETH are on this thing!!! Do you think I should just remover my teeth whenever I go out to dinner?!?!? Ass. He then left, and I continued to express my concerns with the assistant. We discussed me trying the retainer for a week to see if it would really work or not, and then if I could come back to get it adjusted if it wasn't a good fit. During this conversation, Dr. Morris came back, picked up my new retainer and proceeded to break off the metal on the left side. He then threw it down on the table and left, with a snide comment about how "now it's the way you want it". Never being in a situation with such an aggressive doctor, and for some reason doubting myself, I tried it again, and sure enough, now the whole thing was unstable. Due to his treatment, I found myself embarrassed and in tears in the office. fortunately, many of the other ladies working decided to help me, and they took control of the situation and talked with me about how to make the retainer comfortable and practical. They spent time to take pictures and another mold. From there, they ordered the correct retainer. I came back a week later, making sure my appointment was NOT with Dr. Morris. And Dr. Guymon helped fit me with my new retainer. He listened, when I told him my tooth was hitting the right side this time, adjusted the metal, and poof! Retainer fit perfectly. The new retainer looks amazing, and I am so happy with how my new teeth look. I just wish I had never had to deal with Dr. Morris. Everyone else that I spoke to at Dr Guymons is amazing, sweet, kind, and understanding. Dr. Morris is a bully, and I hope any parents reading this will listen to their kids if they have a complaint about him. I would never let my child be touched or talked to by that man. He may have just not given a damn about me, since I was not going to be a long time braces client, but that is no excuse for his retched behavior. If I ever need help with a retainer again, I will try to go to Dr Guymon, but if I can't get an appointment with him, I will definitely find a new place to help me. read more

There are a few ways I view our experiences at Guymon Orthdontics: the quality of work and care, customer service, and facilities. We felt from start to finish that Dr. Guymon and all the technicians were top shelf - everyone is well trained and experienced. They are efficient and took the time to explain everything as we went never leaving a question unanswered; a reassuring experience we appreciated. We couldn't ask for more and my son's teeth are simply spectacular! I'm big on customer service and at no time were staff anything less than friendly and engaging. We always felt welcomed and it felt more than a patient/Doctor relationship. To say it was truly outstanding understates the quality of care and customer service. The office is clearly kid friendly and in the midst of all the fun things for kids to do, there is an orthodontics business. It truly is something to see and experience. The first thing my fiancé said the day I got my braces off was "so when are we going to do MY teeth???". I am SO HAPPY I chose Dr. Guymon's office! My dentist recommended him based on his expertise with newer types of braces. I selected lingual braces which go behind the teeth. No one even knew I was wearing them! I would casually mention 'my braces' to people and they would look at me like I had lost my mind. In order to keep up my professional appearances, it was important to me to not look younger than I am. In fact, I had been wanting braces for years but had put it off. I'm getting married this summer and now my teeth are straight and I am SO glad I did it! I transferred to Dr. Guymon and his team when we moved here from Georgia and I could not be happier with my treatment and my results. It's difficult to find an orthodontist that treats adults and I was fortunate enough to find 2- one in Georgia and then in Meridian. I am in the medical field and I found Dr. Guymon and all the staff and office folks to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant, encouraging, and supportive. I enjoy the upbeat ambience and smiling faces in each and every office visit. When I was due to complete my last trays I asked Dr. Guymon to extend my treatment another few months to "tweak" a couple teeth and he was 100% on board. He made adjustments to my next trays and that did the trick! I am so happy with my results as well as glad I made the decision to get my teeth corrected! We had an initial consultation with this office. They took a panorama X-ray of my daughter. They then were supposed to submit a preauthorization to the insurance company. I called and left a message to make sure that they submitted it as the insurance company had no record or it. They never called back. Over a month later, the insurance company has never received anything. Then I called to see if I could get the X-ray sent to another office so that we could get a second opinion, and didn't want my daughter getting more X rays than necessary. They wanted to charge $150. read more

We visited two choices and Guymon won hands down. Professional courteous staff who easily made us feel comfortable. Love the friendly and welcoming office. All of the assistants are so friendly to my daughter and to us. They are great at answering questions and making us feel confident in our choice. Payment options are also very much appreciated.
