I understand that darker icings require more food coloring, but this was to the point where it couldn't even be eaten. Because the actual cake itself was really good, it was easy to overlook the frosting. I usually don't eat too much icing anyway, but we chose this color because of the theme of my mom's party. I'm sure a lighter frosting that doesn't require much food coloring wouldn't have such a bitter taste. Cedars Cakes also sells cupcakes and other baked goods, such as cookies and macaroons in the store.
