I solicited several requests for proposal for a comprehensive home network installation in a 1990 townhouse and while Trebor Technical Solutions was not the lowest bid, they were the most comprehensive and responsive to my inquiries. Rob provided a thorough site survey of the property and in conjunction with his recommendations, we developed a scope of work for twenty Cat6 runs across three floors and a complete replacement of the CATV and antenna RG6 coaxial cable throughout the house; as well as the relocation of the telecom demarcation from the back of the house to an interior utility room and the installation of a network cabinet, patch panel, switch, cable organization and line power for the new equipment. When unanticipated issues arose during the course of the project, Rob provided a clear explanation of the challenges and worked to keep time and cost overruns low. He and his team were accommodating of my availability and considerate with my time, and worked long hours over the course of a week to get the job done. In addition, they identified a number of deficiencies due to negligent installation of the preexisting DirecTV and FiOs services which had compromised exterior walls without weather sealant, and a previously unidentified code violation in the attic left by a previous owner. Trebor Technical Solutions (formerly known as GRC Technical Solutions) is a fantastic company. Everything Tim C said in his review I also experienced. Rob first came and hung our TV and did a fantastic job. Although I had decided not to have the wires run through the wall (partly to save some money, partly because I wanted them accessible), Rob arranged the wall mount (which I purchased via Trebor, and am so glad that I did) just in case I changed my mind in the future...and I did, before he even left! Seeing how the room was improved by hanging the TV, and how sad the hanging cable looked, I knew that having the wires simply bundled and hanging down would not do. I setup a follow-up appointment (I called mid-week and Rob would have come out that same week, if I had been available - my experience has shown Rob/Trebor works hard to minimize the time between inquiry and arriving to do the work) and Rob came back to install the conduit to thread the cables through the wall. Once again he did a fantastic job, taking extreme care to cause as little damage to the drywall as possible (there was none, actually). Like Tim C mentioned, Rob had estimated this to be a 1-2 hour job, but when it took longer to get everything setup he apologized and kept working. I really felt like this job was his entire focus, despite having a big meeting later on that he likely ended up late to because he wanted to finish my job. He guided me through every decision point of mounting my tv and component shelves with the wires concealed inside the wall of my bedroom. I initially purchased my own tv mount which was too large. Rob spent a good deal of time helping me find the proper mount to meet all my needs at a much lower price. And talk about going above and beyond, he packaged the mount that was not being used and assisted with the return process along with picking up the new mount. The job itself came out great as I received the effect that I was looking for. The TV was perfectly centered and had the extension and maneuverability I was seeking. I cannot say enough about the polished and professional quality of Rob's work. He helped with a massive project on our just-purchased townhome, which included: wiring the entire house for ethernet with ports in every room; installing four wifi access points and four security cameras; mounting a frame TV and heat shield on a fireplace; installing a ceiling light, a video door bell, and an outdoor motion-sensor light; setting up our Fios internet; and housing our switch and other equipment in a panel hidden in a wall. Complete professionals. We moved into our new home and there were ZERO ethernet ports, phone jacks, or coaxial cable terminals. So that means we could have Verizon technicians randomly drill holes through our home and leave us a long cable (obviously not ideal), or have the home professionally wired with coax, data and phone runs exactly where we wanted them. A few companies bid on the project, but Trebor was by far the most thorough in their site visit (some other companies didn't even want to bother to come look at the home and provided a quote sight unseen - bad sign!). During the site visit, Rob, one of the owners, looked at all the bulkheads, walls, cavities, and planned out exactly how cabling was going to get from the FIOS box in the basement, up to the main level, and up to the attic then down to the bedrooms upstairs. I had the owner Rob come out today and mount 4 tvs in my new home and I could not be happier or more impressed with not only his workmanship but also him in general. Rob and his team came out to run some ethernet and install two Unifi PoE cameras and APs. Indoor and outdoor runs, and they handled it exactly the way you hope an installer would. My questions and narrow, limited knowledge about technology were all well-handled with focused substantive responses. Communication and follow-up were excellent throughout the whole project. I really appreciate and respect the hard work they did and trust the solid assessments made about the project from the beginning. Their work could not have met a higher standard. It was a pleasure to do business with them. One specific example that shows their dedication to the quality of their work was the project had an open-ended assessment about feasibility to install the router in a utility closet. When my house is built they did not have an ethernet port on the main level of the house. They ran the main line all the way up to the third floor bedroom which is now used for my son and they ran one other ethernet port all the way down to the basement and completely emitted to add an ethernet port to the main level of the house. When I reached out to Rob, he responded very quickly and had a plan for how to solve the problem. Rob came out with his helper and did quality work and had a great military price. He also instructed me on a better wi-fi system for my house that has optimized all of the internet at my household and everything runs quickly now. As someone who plays video games, it's important that I don't experience issues with latency and other wireless issues, and Rob took that into account when he came up with the plan for my house. I initially called Trebor for a proposal to prepare for fiber installation in my home by opening up a wall in my garage, installing a media box and conduit, and cleaning up some old telephone wiring. While he was there I also asked about some additional wiring inside my house, including running several new network and cable drops and moving an old cable line inside a wall. He listened carefully, offered suggestions, and provided a detailed proposal for it all. I am so glad I hired them. My roommate and I had 2 tv's (Front room & bed room) that we wanted to hang in our apartment. Rob came in and went into detail about what he has was going to do for both tvs. He measured the tv demensions for the front room and perfectly placed the main tv in a perfect position on the wall. In addition of the tv being hung in the front room he also hid all of the HDMI cables and placed a tap behind the wall to hide the electrical wires from the tv and sound bar. On the second tv in my roommates bedroom he hid all HDMI cables and placed a power tap on the wall to hide the power cables. Looking at the tv mount placed on the wall he gave us a couple of tips on what we should have done and helped us to fix the incorrect issues. Rob ran multiple new CAT6 lines between my first floor and attic, installed a new network enclosure, learned my home network to be able to connect multiple network enclosures together, relocated my ONT cabling, and ran new lines for cameras, POE doorbells, and chimes.
