White peaches! So juicy and sweet.

All fruits pick your own at $2/lb. This farm is over 125 acres. Tons of different types of apples. They also have peaches, plums, pears, corn, blueberries, cherries. Cherries are not pick your own. My only complaint is that most of the paths are overgrown and could use a mowing.

Seen at these Farmer Markets: New Jersey Montclair, NJ Walnut Street Train Station (Saturdays) South Orange, NJ (Wednesdays) Warwick, NY at the train station (Sundays) New York Union Square, NY (Fridays) Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, NY (Saturdays) W. 77th Street & Columbus Ave., PS 144 School (Sundays) You've got some great fruit and bakery items, and I recommend their apple butter, some of the best I've had, and they have peach butter, too, also no-sugar butters, which means they are pretty proud of the unadulterated taste of their butters. I believe them to be amazing. They also sell some nice plums and peaches when they are in season, along with tons of apples--and local varietals, some I'd never head of before. Now at the Grand Army Plaza, in Brooklyn, NY, they unload their goods on and off a huge semi truck, and sometimes, if you get there early or late, you may ask for a jar of apple butter or a cinnamon roll (c/o "Just-Made Bakery"), and they may tell you "we don't have any", which really means "they haven't come off the truck yet" or "I don't want to go back in the truck and get them", so if you are persistant, you can eventually get some. Give them a sob story or offer them a bribe--do whatever you can to (legally) get some of that stuff, it's worth it. The elderly-looking gentleman in the overalls is the guy in charge, and he is a very nice guy, who can wax apples (pun intended) with the best of them.

We tried to get to our traditional apple picking spot the other day, but we were sadly running behind schedule. Since our spot was closing at the early hour of 4:30, we need to find another option that was open later. We found Tree Licious Orchards, which was open until 6 pm, on Yelp and decided to give the 4-star reviewed place a shot. We drove down several windy roads and found ourselves in the middle of a gorgeous farm...A gorgeous and EMPTY farm. Sure, we arrived about 45 minutes before they were closing, but we were really surprised to find ourselves to be the only pickers on the property. We were greeted by 2 sweet older women who pointed us in the direction of the apple trees and gave us a box to hold our bounty. The trees were not labeled by variety, so we basically just guessed about our selections. This was a bit frustrating, but the rustic, less commercial farm was simply beautiful and being the sole wanderers around the orchard was rather relaxing. We brought our goods to the front barn to be weighed and chatted some more with the women who had greeted us. They told us about a lovely dinner they were holding on the property the following weekend, which sounded adorable as well. Tree Licious Orchards was a nice choice for late day picking away from the crowds.

Went here a couple of months back during their Boo Bash weekend festival. We enjoyed a few hours…read morethere to do some pumpkin picking, hay rides, and the rest of the usual activities. They have several food trucks with lots of different choices. They have a nice farmer's market that is nicely decorated and has plenty of items for sale. They have a great selection of pies too. Also, there is an ice cream stand next to the market opened daily, all ice cream is homemade and fresh! Their hot apple cider and cinnamon donut was a great treat! Since finding Ort Farms is not too far from us, we'll be back next year once the crops are back in season.

Wanted to try a new spot for Apple Picking and Ort's did not disappoint…read more there was ample space to park and traffic was guided by staff so it wasnt chaotic. The farm was beautiful and well maintained. Playground was in perfect condition and even looked new! the kids definitely had so much fun. We went to their orchard and it was very organized however the PYO apples seem pricey for a small bag of $8 or $12. This was a separate purchase from the admission ticket which also included the orchard entrance and their hayride. During our visit (Sept) was also an event so they had vendors and a live band which was neat! there were enough tables/chairs fyi. We also tried their homemade icecream and I absolutely enjoyed their pumpkin patch milkshake and their special caramel apple cider slushie float which included an apple cider donut! it was so good! they also sell apple cider donuts and other homemade breads and pastries inside their well kempt shop! sure enough we had a lovely visit at their farm and would love to revisit again some day soon!
