As I entered the shop, I noticed some fresh apple cider and freshly made pies (as well as fruit, fruits and vegetables, and preserves.) I got some apple cider and a peach pie to go!! The staff was very, very delightful engaging. Very welcoming. I enjoy drinking my ice cold apple cider whilst driving home. Very delicious and refreshing. I would definitely come back! Very grateful to all that kind people who made such wonderful displays and all the wonderful people that brought these goods for the benefit of all.

My husband loves cherries, and I thought we might purchase one of the two remaining pints that was all they had. Unfortunately I saw that several cherries were moldy on the top of both pints. I pointed it out to the lady working there, who said that she just sorted them that morning and didn't notice any problems. I then walked over to the tomatoes, a favorite of mine, and picked up several which was also moldy on the stems!! Obviously they are still trying to sell older fruits and vegetables and didn't have the turnover when fresh. The only thing I knew couldn't spoil was the flavored honey sticks, and I purchased three for a dollar. Quite a disappointment and we won't visit them again.

They have something for pretty much everyone - baked goods (donuts, cakes, pies, bread), cheese, pickles, produce, fresh meat, home furnishings. It's surprising how much they can squeeze into the space they have and not feel like it's crowded. There's also tables, cafeteria style, if you choose to eat there. If you visit their website, they offer coupons (e.g., $1 off brownies, free pretzel w/ purchase of a milkshake, etc.) you can print out. Normally, it is only open Thursday through Saturday. During certain holidays they do open other days of the week. For Christmas week, they're open Monday through Wednesday since they're closed on December 25th and 26th. For New Year's week, they're open Wednesday since they're closed on Thursday (New Year's Day).

My dad got a regular Margherita and loved it, and my mom got the fungi pizza with mushrooms and was raving about it. My boyfriend got the pig and fig and (of course) loved it as well. We all raved to each other about how amazing everything was. For a farm to do something like this when they don't need to, shows that they love what they do! You can really feel the love in the pizza. We then got ice cream after since the ice cream stand was still open. I got the vegan dark chocolate sea salt (literally incredible, perfect consistency, I love hard ice cream so this was amazing), my boyfriend got Madagascar vanilla and said it was a perfect classic vanilla, my dad said the cherry vanilla was the best he's ever had, and my mom who doesn't love ice cream got the lemon blueberry butter cake and was raving about it. There is an emphasis on locally grown plants and the man who sold them to me took time and care to explain each plant to me - where it should go in the garden, the care required, how it was cultivated, etc. Many of the food vendors also had samples to try. The cheese vendors were wonderful. The breads were also VERY creative (duck fat focaccia... sign me up!) Although some vendors took credit cards, others were cash/check only so I would recommend that you bring some cash with you and smaller bills. For those of us who are in northern NJ, it is an easier ride now that the summer is over. It is also a pretty ride and worth supporting our local growers.

This is the place…read more As far as I know, this is one of the few, if not only, pick-your-own grape places in the area. If that's what you're looking for, you need to come here. Unlike some of the bigger farms around, this is very low key. No fancy rides or petting zoos, nothing like that. Just some nice fruit picking. That also means there isn't some ridiculous entry fee, or bag fee, or whatever. Pay for what you pick, that's it. Just what we were looking for. I've gone apple picking a lot, but never grape picking, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's easy to do, the grape plants are low enough that kids can easily pick them. This a great place to spend some time with your family, have some fun, and pick some delicious concord grapes. Also unlike a lot of places, the price for the picked grapes is very fair. Depending where you're coming from, it can be quite a trek to get here. It was a little over an hour for me coming from Bergen County. Well worth it. I'll be taking the family here again in the future.
