I've been working with Tree Pros for almost a year, and they've been excellent. They respond quickly, pay close attention to detail, and always send a certified arborist to review projects before proposals go out. They also do a final walk after each job, which I really appreciate. Their proposals are thorough and come with a clear map and key, so you know exactly what is being trimmed or removed. I've mainly worked with Chase, the arborist; he's professional, friendly, and gives great input to improve my trees. Normally, I get multiple bids for projects, but with Tree Pros I do not bother since they're competitive and the service is outstanding. This is a terrible company that took no protective measures when trimming trees in our Foothill Collection in La Verne! They trimmed the branches over my roof and ended up damaging my flagpole, water tank, roof beams, and roof tiles. When I asked them to fix the damages, they refused to take responsibility and were completely unaccountable! I kept contacting them, and they only came two months later, but the repairs were incomplete. Worse yet, they shifted the blame to my roof being old. My roof has never leaked before, and now they expect me to replace it because of their mistakes? According to them, if your roof isn't new, you have no right to ask for proper tree-trimming services. I cannot say enough good things about Tree Pros. This is a team that knows their trees. They are professional, responsible and treat you like family. Their entire team cares about the clients they serve and it shows in their work. I have worked on several projects with Tree Pros and each have been highly successful. If I have ever had a question, concern or additional requests, the response time is always immediate which is helpful to get projects moving along. Trees are trimmed properly for structural integrity, tree species and the clean up is always done well. I have trimmed several hundred trees with Tree Pros at this point and have not had 1 complaint regarding tree trimming and quality of work. That's a win for me especially for a community of 1,826 homes and even more residents. In fact, other vendors have even complimented their quality of work. WORST customer service ever!!!!!!!! Get another company to do your job. Would NOT listen to any of my requests and left with trees looking awful ! Our HOA hired this company. I went out and told the workers that I wanted more trimming of the trees. They all said No or shook their heads and walked away. I asked to speak to the manager and they said he wasn't there. I asked them to call him and I was ignored. NOT happy at all with this company or their workers. And NO manager present? I'm guessing that was a lie as well. Am going to let our HOA know Tree Pros customer service is AWFUL and to hire another company next time. read more

My HOA hired this company to trim our trees. When I looked out of the window, I saw very large tree branches that had fallen and knocked over my patio lights and poles. They were continuing to cut even though stuff had been knocked over on my patio. I could see them looking down so it would have been really hard to miss and not see that things had gotten knocked over. I thought once they noticed, they would stop... but they didn't. When I saw this, I went outside and asked them to stop, and only then did they stop. They took a minute to move it off and continued. If I hadn't gone out to intervene, it looked like they would have kept going and could have caused a lot of potential damage. I understand they are just doing there job, but someone could have just knocked on my door if something on my patio was in the way of doing their job. When I had called to notify the company of what they had happened, they said that it was my responsibility to have moved my stuff in the first place - BUT I never received a notice specifically asking me to move my patio belongings. They took no responsibility and told me it was mine and my HOA's fault and that I need to take it up with them. I understand there was a communication gap, but even if I was doing my job, and I saw that I had knocked something over, I would pause, pick it back up to prevent more damage. Unfortunately this didn't happen. I get it that they don't feel they are at blame for this incident, but the fact of the matter is that this was a stressful situation that could have been prevented had one of the people working just knocked on my door to move my stuff - because again, no one notified/communicated with me :( It doesn't give me pleasure to write this, but I do feel like my voice wasn't heard and that I was just brushed to the side when I had called to report this. The response from the company was very defensive. Yes, the HOA for my house is at fault for lack of communication, but it's the principle of it... If you knock someone's personal belongings over, you don't just keep going, you should take a pause and stop. I acknowledge that this work is hard, and that this was most likely not intentional, but again - this was a preventable situation. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. read more

Yesterday, March 7, the Tree Pros crew cut down branches from pine trees with nesting herons during the nesting season, in violation of the federal Migratory Birds Treaty Act with no regard to the 20+ herons nesting in the trees. Last night, for the first time, herons did not return to nest in the pine trees. read more

Came here for firewood. Found their ad on Craigslist and called them up, turns out they aren't too far away and had what I needed. $15, got a large wheel barrel full of decent wood. Had some knotted pieces and weren't great hardwoods, but who cares? It was for a bonfire. The guy helped load it into my car and tore off some extra finer fibers for tinder. Not too sure about their other services (tree trimming and stuff). read more

What an amazing job these tree experts did on our property. They were professional, courteous, and quick, not to mention an upbeat attitude. From the office perspective, I dealt with Alisa who I have grown very fond of. Alisa was quick to respond and very informative. I am the property manager for an apartment complex. In walking our large property, I noticed two out of eighty four pines that may have not been completely trimmed in comparison to the remaining eight two. It took one email and the follow up response was very quick with a date set to come take a look and handle the matter. Now that's customer service! Received $1500 quote to treat 11 trees for beetles. Price reduced to $1300 and work authorized. Work performed by one man in less than 1 hour. Be sure to obtain bids before authorizing the work. UPDATE I was contacted be Tree Pros as they wanted a satisfied customer and offered to preform additional services for a reasonable price. They also explained that the price on the tree treatment was due to the very high cost of the chemicals. I accepted their offer for some significant work and was very pleased with the quality of the work and the level of professionalism exhibited by the entire crew. This company was contracted to trim the trees for my condominium complex (Criterion Town Homes in Placentia) the week before the fourth of July and they left a huge mess of branches and dry pine needles. Not only is this very unsightly but being it was left for several days including the 4th of July it was a huge fire hazard. Piles of dry pine needles ended up under cars parked along the street, if a firework were to ignite just the right pile, BOOM!!! I do not know how any reputable company could leave such a mess and hazard. Needless to say I would not contract this company in the future and I will be attending the next HOA board meeting to discuss this extremely important issue and try to make sure this company does not win any more bids in our complex. read more

Hire this company if want disease spread throughout your trees because chainsaws and equipment are not sterilized between trees. Very willing to trim trees at the wrong time of year, for that type of tree, for the money. Don't want to be bothered with an arborist? This is the company for you! Prefer an abstract look to your trees as opposed to shape and design? This is your company! Personally, I am very disappointed. And of course, most all workers have been uneducated and not properly trained and don't speak English. read more
