Tree Tops Park is located in central Broward County. This park is very convenient for weekend parties, weekday playground play dates and nature trail hikes both on foot, bike, or horse. I enjoy the early morning stroller walks with my granddaughter because during the weekdays there is no charge to enter and park to walk the trails. There is a very nice indoor/outdoor pavilion that is often rented for special events. There are multiple area for both child play under a covered playground and a covered area for adults to use the manual workout machines. The wide open space is great for horses to get a nice ride and to rinse off at the watering areas. The lakes and streams are filled with wild life that is indigenous to the area. Just taking a walk and listening to the sounds of nature is truly calming. On the weekends this county park gets very loud and crowded but because the park is so massive, there is always a place to relax. read more

If connecting with nature is your thing, this park is the spot. It's a gorgeous park that retains some of our beautiful trees before development took over. As a spooky girl, the Banyan tree captured my fancy. It's stood tall and majestic with its hanging vines forming a shelter like structure. At the time of my visit, there were a few ladies sitting under it getting ready for a drumming circle. We watched for a bit before moving on. The park has loop trails. It's easy to follow via the trails app. It's a great place for hikes, long walks or for just taking a break from people. The kids would love it here as well. We walked past a few play grounds and biking trails. I plan on taking the kids back soon for some fun. 10/10 as far as parks are concerned. read more

One of my favorite parks in South Florida for a sweet escape. I went on a Saturday and it wasn't overly crowded. There's a $3 entry fee, and they offer plenty of parking. I noticed several people hosting events throughout the park, and they even have a cute cottage by the water that you can rent for special occasions. There's a beautiful scenic overlook where you can take in the park and its trails, along with an additional viewing deck by the water. I also loved seeing the horses they have a designated area for horseback riding and lessons. I even got to pet one of the most majestic horses, which was such a refreshing moment. Sadly, I left my horse at home next to my yacht and private jet... okay, I don't have any of those three... maybe someday!). This is one of my favorite parks. We moved from the area about 8 years ago and it had been that long since I had been. My oldest daughter had an event in the area so I took my youngest daughter to hang out with me. We had her 3rd birthday there so she didn't remember going there. It was about 1030 am on a Saturday when we visited. There is a fee per car on the weekends like most parks. We parked by one of the playgrounds and she wanted play but I convinced her to walk through the park. We went to the observation tower first. This is one of my favorite places here because you can see so much from it. It's also in the woods and it's so serene. It's quite a hike to the top but worth it! After the tower we made our way to the marsh which in my opinion is the best part. It's through the woods and on a trail. There are two gazebos ,on opposite ends ,where you can stand or sit. We got to see a few turtles, birds, and fishes. My daughter loved it as I knew she would! There were some people walking their dogs and we got to interact with some. There were also some people running and others bike riding. After the marsh my daughter was hot and wanted to go back to the car so I drove around the park to show her some more of it. We had to go pick up my oldest so we had to leave but she said she had a good time. We will definitely be back sometime soon for a family day. If you haven't had a chance to visit here do it! I thoroughly enjoy this park and they have so much to offer. There's horseback riding, trails, pavilions, playgrounds and more! You could really make a day of it or just pop in and enjoy it. read more

I've been deep in my Walk Girl era and came across this absolute gem of a park. It's HUGE--like, get lost in nature big. Tons of green space, nature trails, horse trails, and peaceful spots to just take it all in. Perfect for a solo stroll, a chill picnic, or a kid-friendly hangout with multiple play areas. Oh--and dogs are totally allowed (on a leash). I didn't see many, but my pup had an absolute blast exploring. There are even random water fountains throughout the park, which came in clutch for the fluffy child to cool off. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for fresh air, space to roam, and that peaceful, unplugged vibe. read more

I was excited that a birthday party finally brought me out to this West Broward park. The party shelters have running water, which is a nice amenity. Some of the trails are paved, while others are dirt. When you get to the water, there is a nice boardwalk with two covered shelters and benches for nature viewing. The stairs on the lookout tower are narrow, so it's better to take turns if there's another group going up or down. Overall, this is a nice park to spend a few hours exploring. read more

Tree Tops Park is a great place to go if you're looking to get outside & enjoy the beautiful nature. With trails stretching over 20 acres, a large boardwalk through their marshland & plenty of covered picnic areas you can spend hours here exploring or relaxing. There's multiple lakes which are accessible to fish, a large observation tower to take in the views & a couple playgrounds throughout. All ages are welcomed & encouraged to visit. Pets are allowed as long as they're on a leash. Entry is free during the week & only $3 per vehicle on the weekend. If you walk in, ride your bicycle, or you're on horseback it's always free (according to their website). I love coming here to walk the trails & do some fishing. The trails have some good shade coverage due to the massive live oak trees. It's safe to assume some of them are hundreds of years old based off how large they are. You can't quite tell by the pictures but it's incredible to see the size of them in person. The one thing I've noticed over the 15+ years I've been coming here is the park is always kept clean. Whether it's the workers or the visitors being mindful, it's one of my favorite things to see. It's unfortunate when people leave trash outside but thankfully that's not too big of a problem here. If you're looking for a place to get your nature fix then you should definitely check out Tree Tops. There's not many things better than being outdoors surrounded by all the beauty south Florida has to offer. read more

My daughter and I went for a bike ride in the park and it was a nice even with it raining. There's plenty of things to do while in the park like playing in a little town or a playground. Beautiful and tranquil park with shade. Be prepared with bug spray. I was surprised even in October the bigs got me. There's a tower where you can walk up and see the canopy of the park. There's also walking and horse trails and it's dog friendly. There's an area on the water where you can appreciate the local Everglades type environment. In October they have a Halloween event. This year, they fenced off the inside of the park because of it. I hope they can keep the park open in the future during this event. read more

I live downtown Fort Lauderdale, and this was such a great place to change up my routine and get in my weekend steps! Who knew I was this close to so much nature? The place was huge...there were daytime parties (baby showers, birthday parties), a few photoshoots, and even a Tesla meet-up while I was there. Plenty of walking paths and people watching. What an amazing park and staff! Our company carried out the green activity for employees and families this weekend. Without these beautiful green areas and office staff support it wouldn't have been possible to hold a GREEN FAMILY DAY. We all plant trees in the butterfly garden, creating values ​​(especially for the employees' children) of care for nature and species. Tree Tops is now open for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, personal horseback riding, and fishing! Of course visitors should adhere to CDC guidelines for social distancing and face covering. It's nice to have Tree Tops Park as a place back in the mix for walking and jogging. Tree Tops Park sits on on property once slated for development as a golf community. There are 23 acres of restored freshwater marsh, nature trails, and an equestrian center. Other amenities include a marina/lake where paddle boats can be rented, an observation tower, shelters and picnic areas, room rentals for special events (not available now). During the week there is no fee for entrance and on the weekend the charge is $1.50/per person. Some areas of the park are truly beautiful with lots of different types of trees and fauna. Truly a beautiful place to walk and be with nature, right in the middle of residential Davie. read more

A park located in Davie a little more east than Vista View Park. This park is another local favorite and quite the hot spot for photographers. They have an area near the viewing tower where you will usually find some groups of people taking photos that can range from fashion editorials to maternity photos. The viewing tower was one of my favorite parts about this park but it is currently closed. There is also a trail that you can find here for walking, running, biking, or Florida's version of hiking. The path leads to different areas along the length of the park. There's even an area with a boardwalk overlooking a body of water that offers a serene break from the trail. The park is pretty open and has some pavilions as well as picnic tables that you can celebrate any occasion at. If you do come here for an event, they have a sign letting you know which pavilion belongs to which party at the entrance. I got to attend my friend's gender reveal here the other day and the park was beautiful to celebrate at. Weekdays there is no admission and on weekends, I believe it's $1.50 per person. read more

A very nice park located in Davie. It is very nicely run, and is laid out really well. It offers a lake where you can a hire paddling boat or 2 - swans, ducks (Lol) to Potter around in. You are also allowed to fish, as long as you chuck them back in?. There are also plenty of benches and BBQs that are dotted around, and all they all seem to be in private shady places. They have a corned and fenced off kids bike area - run by schools I think to help kids learn the green cross code - in other words how to stop, go etc. There is also a gym area, plenty of wide open grass spaces suitable o kick a ball around, play frisbee etc. I also noticed bicycles trails as well as horse trails - which I am not sure what they offer or mean? but check it out! With regards to their name sake - there is a very short walk that is called Treetops (their name sake) with a walkway that leads to the 'treetops' hence the name! Here you can have nice views from the top of the platform to see the tops of the trees, foliage and pathways. read more

This is such a great park. It is free to get in during the week (non-holidays) and $3 per vehicle for weekends and holidays. There are tons of trails and things to see. This is such a nice spot for pictures with the beautiful trees that are there. The viewing tower is really neat. There is a little outdoor gym and plenty of places for the kids to play, pavilions, and benches. There is a little safety town with little house structures. You can't go in them but it's still cute. There is a railroad crossing and the lights function but they chained up the gate so the arms don't go down. It is such a large park you can go a handful of times and still see something new. The day we visited they were shooting something (film or otherwise) by the lake so the entire area was closed off, but it looked beautiful. If you haven't been you really are missing out. It's a perfect place to grab some sunshine and fresh air. read more

This park has lots of live oaks, tropical hammocks and wet lands covering about 140 acres in Davie. This park use to be a dairy farm but back in 1980 a group of conservationist stoped it from becoming a golf community. At this park you can rent canoes , bring your horse and go on a trail, take your dog for a walk, have a picnic , play frees by, volley ball, kid playground, hiking, fishing,safety town , there is plenty to see and do. You will see as you walk beautiful trees , Tamarindo and Oranges trees,Oak trees, Coffee bean bushes and live oaks. As you walk on the trail you will listen to crickets making mating calls . I saw ducks and Lizards ,horses too but did not find that alligator in the wet land. Come check out this beautiful park. read more

Tree Tops Park has been a favorite of mine as it's near where I lived in Davie Florida. It's been here for as long as I can remember. I remember when it was just a rugged trail through the woods. Now it's a boardwalk through 23 acres of restored freshwater marsh, nature trails, and an equestrian center. Plus there's many more amenities available at this park. It's a Broward County Park. Admission was always free. I've spent a lot of happy times enjoying a day at Tree Tops Park. It's spacious enough to hold parties. The trails are beautiful and well maintained. It's come a long way since my daughter was a child. We always visit Tree Tops when we're in Broward County. The views are beautiful and like I said it's well maintained. You can enjoy the birds, insects and wildlife while you're still close to civilization. I'm recommending! read more

I love this park so much. I'm a nature person and love to be in the middle of the woods, surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of wooded areas near me here in South Florida. This park makes me feel like I'm somewhere else. You pull in and see a lot of covered pavilion's, playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. However, the best part about this park is the treetop wooded area that has the lookout tower. You can enter this wooded area from a few different spots. Once I enter, it brings me instant calmness and serenity. I go here when I want to get away from it all and meditate or just want to feel relaxed. It's so beautiful from the cool trees to the different trails to the look out tower. There's no charge to enter the park during the week but there is a small fee on the weekends. There is plenty of parking throughout the park. The pictures I posted here will tell the story. Back for covid vaccine #2 for my mother. We got a call last week scheduling us for a time today since the card we got after the first shot only had a date. I received an email confirmation asking that we not show up more than 15 min before our appt time. There was no line to get into the park and I was thinking it was going to be quick like it was for her 1st appt but I was mistaken. As soon as I went a little further, I saw cars lined up. The first loop was the longest wait that we had. Once we got past the first checkpoint, the line moved much better. The whole process from entry to the time we left was about 1-1/4 hours. read more

With all the sun and rain exposure, the wood was creaking under my weight so I went up and down the tower very cautiously. Once at the top, it gives you a "bird's-eye" view of the bushes and trees around the area. Visit the park office for pavilion and/or Oak Ridge Hall reservations.
