A BIG shout out to David Cornelison of Tree Care Arborists for the fantastic removal of a very large 50-year-old pine tree and almost as big 40-ish year old ficus tree in my backyard. Pine tree had gotten beetle infestation and the ficus was planted in the wrong place by me decades ago and was ready to take out my wall. Also a big shout-out for how well the plantings went the next day with the new trees. David had taken out a prior pine tree a couple of years ago and I liked how he handled things, and his crew. So I got some other bids which were competitive and decided on David because I knew his work. Attached pictures show the original trees, after they were removed, and the replacement trees that we agreed on. (Yelp has not put them in the correct order). These guys came in with all the right equipment, got the job done well, were very conscientious and knowledgeable, were willing to listen to my suggestions and let me know if they agreed or why they disagreed. And they cleaned up very well afterwards. When the replacement trees were delivered today, the smaller of the three, a 15 gallon as opposed to the other two 24 gallons, was much shorter than I had anticipated. David and I discussed it and we agreed on a replacement. That's the replacement tree on the right where there are two trees against the same wall. David immediately offered to replace it today and while his crew were planting the two big trees he went out and got the replacement tree. That's what I call great customer service! I have been using the services of Dave, TreeCare Arborists for over 10 years now, annually generally at least twice. Sometimes I have to wait for him to respond or come, since I know he will respond and come, I always plan ahead so I'm not at the end of the pruning season or at the beginning of the wind season which gives him time to service all of his clients. He is absolutely worth waiting for. His service and work is 10/10 - the tree care is the best you can get, the clean up is perfection, no other plants are broken or mashed. For tree trunk removal he is the best I've experienced in over 40 years. He also removed a large mess of bamboo and bamboo shoots and the area remains bamboo free after 3 years, amazing! TreeCare Arborists provided us with exceptional service. They came highly recommended by several of our Nextdoor neighbors. We contacted TreeCareArborists back in November to evaluate our trees that were having either drought related or pruning problems. We were impressed by the amount of time that the owner (a certified arborist) took to carefully evaluate our 12 trees, develop a care and pruning plan, and provide a very fair proposal for the work to be done at the correct pruning time for three of our trees. His knowledge is vast and his love of trees and his work just shone through during our conversation. He also provided great care recommendations for our citrus and other fruit trees. The owner explained that TreeCare Arborists' approach is to return the natural shape of the tree when trimming to restore both the tree's appearance and health. Our 30-foot high, 30-foot wide, wildly out-of-control Carrotwood and two 25-year never before pruned Crape Myrtles looked terrible and we were eager to have TreeCare Arborists on the job. Our pruning was scheduled for February and was completed this past Tuesday. TreeCare Arborists arrived on time, reviewed the work to be done with us, and immediately started their work. They trimmed and shaped our trees with great artistry and efficiency. The crew coordinated their work well, cleaning as they went along and left our property immaculate. The trimming results and tree transformation were simply amazing. Our Carrotwood tree has never looked so good and the shape is now proportioned and lovely. David won our business this spring when he declined to trim our Italian Stone Pine as the weather was warming up. He said that the rest of our requested work was all seasonally appropriate and offered a great price for that work. He also directed me to a great nursery to find the right Crepe Myrtle to replace an old tree that was removed as part of the work and then planted it. We used this company to remove a tree in our front yard. When a different company came to plant a new tree they found that the stump was ground only part way and not removed. Consequently they could not plant the new tree and we are incurring the additional expense of hiring another company to come and remove the stump. Just had a pine tree removed from our front lawn yesterday. They arrived on time, checked in with us to verify that we wanted the tree removed and quickly got to work. In no time, they had cut down the tree. It was amazing to watch them work so quickly - they made it look so easy!. They shredded the branches and cut down the trunk into smaller pieces and hauled it all away. They grinded the tree stump down into the garden so much so that you wouldn't know a tree was ever there.
