Treehouse Treats and Treasures is a quaint little shop that we stopped into after spending some time browsing the antique and consignment shops nearby. We originally went in for ice cream, but discovered they also had books and souvenirs. My wife found a book she wanted, and I picked up a few souvenirs for my children. We actually made three separate purchases at the same counter -- first the souvenirs, then my wife's book, and finally two ice cream cones. I took receipts for the first two purchases, but unfortunately declined one for the ice cream. I really wish I hadn't. After we left, I realized we had been charged $23 for two double-scoop ice cream cones. The ice cream itself was very good, but the amount we were charged simply did not seem to match the prices posted where the ice cream was being served. Based on what I remember seeing on the menu, it appeared we were significantly overcharged. Without the receipt, I can't say exactly what happened or whether it was simply an innocent mistake, and I wish I had noticed the amount while we were still there so I could have asked about it. But it bothered me enough that I was still thinking about it several hours later. It's unfortunate because otherwise this was a charming little shop with some fun things to browse, and we enjoyed the ice cream. But paying $23 for two relatively ordinary double-scoop cones left a disappointing impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a very pleasant stop. read more

Who doesn't like a treat. I know I do. The location of this place is easy to find. The staff were very friendly. The selection was decent. I will be back. And I will enjoy it some more. read more

Great sample size on the Hocking Hills Food cruise along with friendly service. Definitely one of the better stops on our tour. Selection of flavors was interesting and tasty. The junior scoop is plenty if you've had dinner and just popping for a desert. read more

I had a craving for ice cream and this location and the ice cream definitely did not hit the spot! It started with the poor service. Not one hello or any recognition from the 4-5 teenage employees who stood around in a group. Finally an acknowledgement, then she gets hubbies simple order wrong. I don't think she was actually paying attention to him. Ice cream wasn't very good and prices were average. Very little hot fudge one my one scoop sundae. The worst service I have ever encountered. Not just annoyed but angry and aggressive. It was bizarre. My husband and I were very kind and polite. I did change my ice cream choice but she had not even started making it yet. So then she gave me the totally wrong thing. I nicely said, This is not what I ordered. She took it and chucked it in the trash. She proceeded to make my new ice cream and slammed both of the lids to the ice cream cooler so hard it knocked off the Carmel's that were on top on display!! We were embarrassed for her. But she was not ! Then my vanilla ice cream was terrible. But my husbands cone was great !! read more

Has a sign that says if you have food allergies to let them know. We did and asked to scoop from a new container. Workers refused and said they can scrape down the sides. Refused to open a new container for life threatening food allergies. read more

rude customer service they skipped my husband and I and waited on the people behind us then proceeded To have a attitude with us while making our milkshakes and complained when we told them that we got skipped (which we didn't have a attitude about) a family of like 8 got waited on before us when they showed up 10 mins after us. As well they made my milkshake wrong and had even more of a attitude when they handed me the 2 milkshakes that we waited patiently for. read more

The ice cream here was amazing, and the pretty redhead working was so sweet! My boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time and had no idea what to get. The girl working greeting us right away and helped recommended flavors. My blueberry pancake milkshake was amazing and a good size for the price. Plus I even found a cool in the adjoining store. This lovely little gift shop has a good variety of quality creamy ice cream. They have the regulars like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry plus more unusual combination flavors. The teenage staff was pleasant and helpful. We sat outside at a cafe table in the shade which overlooks a pretty miniature golf course with lovely native flowers. The shop is located behind Arby's and next to The Old Dutch Restaurant. read more

Went here last July during a trip to Hocking hills. There was a weirdly tiny selection of random ice cream flavors (I think there was just like, strawberry cheesecake and a 2-3 other flavors), although it's possible that Covid impacted their stock delivery so maybe that's not their usual situation. The ice cream counter employees and cashier at the other side of the shop seemed annoyed that I required their attention to order and pay. I guess I understand why the old man's cave general store is the preferred ice cream spot in town? The ice cream itself was fine and the wooden bear in front of the shop is super cute so at least there's that. read more

Cute shop, teenage employees were all very helpful and friendly. Shop is pet friendly, so we brought in our Corgi and got him a dog sundae which he thoroughly enjoyed. He thought he was a VIP. Single scoop waffle cones were generous. Lots of comfortable seating inside and out. read more

Part of a larger complex with mini golf, canoeing, the old dutch restaurant and more, this is a tiny little ice cream shack that has no resemblance at all to a treehouse. The ice cream selection is limited to a dozen flavors or so. They also have a small selection of kitchy stuff to buy. There are a few arcade games (some broken), and an air hockey table. At least it has A/C and a few comfy chairs. Ice cream was $2.70 I think for one scoop. read more
